@TakeYourFinalPosition I should be 7 weeks tomorrow when I get it. Yeah it does say in their website to be prepared for an internal scan so hopefully fingers crossed all is as it should be! Thank you 💖

@Dreamer30

I don't want to start another thread for this but has anyone had any brown spotting? I had it the day my period was due then the day after then it stopped. Got a positive CBD on Sunday saying 1-2 weeks. Then on Thursday I done a cheapie as a sort of keepsake and there wasn't a line. Done another CBD yesterday and it says 1-2 still but I'm 5w+2 today. Started spotting on Thu and still am. Got the worst feeling!
Don't worry - I've had brown spotting that got really heavy. After getting checked out they found a teeny baby and a heartbeat! I think I'm 7+ 4 so a little further than you but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
Cuddles21 · 01/05/2021 14:39

Sorry ladies if this is too gross to answer but is anyone else suffering from constipation? In fairness I never had the most efficient system going but I've only been twice in the last 7 days and I'm not sure if it's something that I need to get something for or if someone here had recommendations on how to help it?

Pineapple87 · 01/05/2021 15:28

@Cuddles21 I was too I are bananas they worked a treat :)

climbershell · 01/05/2021 16:11

Atm, I go through stages of being constipated and then pooing a lot!

Back to horrid hangover today. I absolutely hate sitting around doing nothing, get sooo bored. Did a couple hours work this morning, but been sat on sofa since 2 and it's doing my head in doh

Dreamer30 · 01/05/2021 16:32

Thanks girls. Just so worried something has gone wrong. I've not called the EPU or that because the way I see it is, if something is happening then it's too late already isn't it.. 😔 I've booked an early viability scan for 6 weeks if things ease, just for peace of mind, if not a little crazy. The clinic is a 2 min drive from me and there website says scans no earlier than 6w from LMP so I'll be 6w+2d a week from today. So hoping it's good news. Just not feeling optimistic at all. Sorry to be a Debbie downer ladies!

Kiwi fruit 🥝 - have one with breakfast and you'll be fine :)

You should call EPU if you're worried - that's what they are there for and they were so lovely when I spoke to them!
Arb108 · 02/05/2021 08:36

@Dreamer30 I agree with Sair44411. The EPU are there for your concerns and should be able to help you. I also had brown spotting at 5 weeks which turned heavy, along side cramps. I thought to worst. My GP wanted to check it wasn't ectopic so had a scan at the EPU. They were so lovely and I saw a tiny 5mm bean with a heartbeat. I was measuring exactly 6 weeks. Definitely phone the midwives and they can answer your queries and doubts and hopefully give you some reassurance.

Hxoxox · 02/05/2021 10:27

Hey well maybe you should always trust your instincts. Went for scan and only the sac was showing. No yolk sac or fetal pole. The sac just measuring 6+2. That was ultrasound and internal scan! Gutted! I thought ultrasound would pick up at that age so definitely not good news. I've to book into edu and re scan in 2 weeks.

Hxoxox · 02/05/2021 10:27

Sorry meant I thought internal would pick up at that age.

Amy2406 · 02/05/2021 10:37

I am sorry you will have to wait longer, I wish we could skip this 2 weeks of waiting, did they say anything else? Sending you positive vibes!

Hxoxox · 02/05/2021 10:40

@Amy2406 thanks! Nah she just said sometimes that happens when so early on but I can tell she didn't think there was much hope! X

Mumofboys20122017 · 02/05/2021 10:45

@Hxoxox sorry to hear that! I hope the next 2 weeks go in quick and when you next get scanned you will see little bean ❤ sending positive vibes your way x

tuxedocat · 02/05/2021 10:47

Are EPU’s closed on a weekend and bank hol? I’ve got a dull ache towards my left side snd up towards my back but it’s not a pain so I’m not sure what to do. Seems excessive to go to a&e when I’m not in pain likewise call 111. But also want a little bit of piece of mind

Amy2406 · 02/05/2021 11:03

Fingers crossed for all of us waiting, sending all my love x

Hxoxox · 02/05/2021 11:18

The report was sent through to me and it said there was echogenic material but no obvious yolk sak or fetal pole. Just having to ride out the two weeks now.

I'm gonna say it now though. I definitely wouldn't recommend an early scan at all as although majority of people seem to see a heartbeat there's a good chance like me you'll be left deviated.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 02/05/2021 11:28

@tuxedocat Some are. Mine is, but lots aren’t. Give them a call - they might be able to give you an appointment at OOH if not.

@Hxoxox I’m really sorry 💐 Statiscally, most people don’t see a heartbeat at 6w - and you can measure 5 days early or 5 days late and the baby still catch up before 12 weeks and everything be fine, which is why we don’t do dating until 12 weeks. I really hope that there’s more to see in two weeks... the two weeks does drag, mine is next Saturday and feels like a lifetime away. There’s nothing that distracts from it, really... try to keep busy.

Lots of love to you.

climbershell · 02/05/2021 13:49

Fruit goes down ok for me atm. So plate of melon, banana and a pear to get some goodnight in me (melon good for thirst too), before I give into my McDonald's craving later on... After my partners gone to work as too embarrassed/ashamed to just do for lunch when he's around 🙈

I have my early scan on Saturday, should be 8+3 (9+1 if go by LMP but I ovulated late so adjusted)

TreeRoad · 02/05/2021 14:30

Booked myself an early scan for tomorrow, I’ll be 8+6.

Slipped when walking the dog this morning and I know I’m being neurotic but it’ll help me settle to know that all is well. Plus, a cheeky unscheduled look at the baby is always nice. 😙

Meanwhile, nausea is ruining every single day for me. It’s bloody relentless. 🥺

BrodieKD · 02/05/2021 15:21

My scan is at half 4 today. I'm so nervous and so excited! I'm 8 weeks today based on LMP.

Hope you are ok after your fall @TreeRoad

@climbershell I was reading the McDonald's menu in my bed this morning! 5 new items being added this week 😂

TreeRoad · 02/05/2021 15:32

@BrodieKD All good thanks! Slipped on wet grass picking up dog poo. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So glad it was quiet outside and nobody saw the show, haha.

Good luck for the scan! Let us know!

Amoh · 02/05/2021 15:34

Hello again,

Had a rough week that is thankfully over (had severe flank pain that could be a renal stone causing an infection). I’m on antibiotics that seem to be helping things along but I’m terrified to take any pain relief. Paracetamol doesn’t help much so I sort of have to work through the pain.

The good news is all seems well in the baby front! I actually got to hear a very faint heartbeat at 5+5 which made it feel all the more real.

What strikes me now is the nausea and the bloating. The worst combination anyone could ask for is hunger coupled with a bloated stomach that makes you nauseous. I have zero energy and I can’t help pick myself up with food because of it.

Anyone struggling with bloating? This was never an issue for me. Makes me wonder if it’s more related to the UTI rather than the pregnancy itself.

CTR1000 · 02/05/2021 16:21

Had my early scan today. All looking good, single intrauterine pregnancy with a heartbeat. 8+2 by dates and 8+3 by size. Still such a long way to go but feeling a bit more real.

Just wanted to say, we used Ultrasound Direct. Had read mixed reviews but I thought they were great - professional but helpful and friendly.

Hope everyone else doing OK. I don’t think I’d anticipated how nervy these early weeks would be!

DarceyCat · 02/05/2021 16:29

Arrrgh! Went for bloods at 10.30 this am for beta hCG. Friday's were 2671 so need to see what today's are. There's a problem with the lab and they've run the sample twice but it hasn't recorded a result. They're looking into it but I Just. Want. To. Know!!!
The nurse is lovely and keeping a close eye on it all for me but she also said sometimes it needs re-running on the analyser if it's too low to detect the first time so I'm not holding out a lot of hope Sad
