Booking appointment done today ✅

Early scan on Saturday at 8+2

Weight & height check on 10th May

Then to book my bloods.

Feeling a little bit more real now ☺️

Sair44411 · 29/04/2021 18:47

Everything went well!

I got to see the baby and it's little heartbeat! You can't prepare for how relieved and exciting it is to actually see the little thing in real life.

I've got some cysts on my ovary which are probably causing the pain but nothing to worry about.

tuxedocat · 29/04/2021 18:49

@Sair44411 amazing news!

What was the reason you went in for?

Mumofboys20122017 · 29/04/2021 18:53

@sair44411 brilliant news ❤ no feeling like seeing the little bean on the screen!

Pineapple87 · 29/04/2021 18:54

I called midwife today, I will get a 45 min phone call from them around the 10th I will be 8 weeks, then they will book me at the hospital for height weight & bloods, then she said that my first scan will be when I’m between 11-14 weeks, it all seem so real now. ❤️

BrodieKD · 29/04/2021 18:54

@Hxoxox my early scan is on Sunday and I can't stop googling! I'm so nervous and excited at the same time.

Anyone else go from feeling sick, to starving hungry, to eating a few mouthfuls then going off it? All I want is sour sweets like tangfastics and sour skittles

climbershell · 29/04/2021 19:34

@BrodieKD yes. Well the sickness never goes, but it goes from horrendous, back to just hungover. Starving but often eating is not nice or easy!

Lucky my McDonalds went down well earlier, first meal I've enjoyed since Sat's BBQ! Still stuffed so just having bit of potato salad later on!

MushroomQueen · 29/04/2021 19:39

@Sair44411 great news!

I’ve been feeling sick and actually throwing up today. I don’t like to smell cooking meat and I don’t want to eat any cooked food makes me feel queasy thinking of pasta or rice etc no idea why. So I’m on salads. I managed toast with avocado on and some cheese and some crackers and only a little came back up. Also my step-cousin (my uncle by marriages daughter) announced she’s expecting November. So lots of random babies appearing in my family and friend circle this winter

tuxedocat · 29/04/2021 19:45

Anyone else bloat straight out after eating? I look about 4/5months pregnant after my dinner 😂

Pineapple87 · 29/04/2021 20:45

I do tux but I just look FAT lol

AnonymousXXIX · 29/04/2021 21:09

I always look like that after dinner, nothing to do with pregnancy lol
Cuddles21 · 29/04/2021 22:35

My stomach completely puffs out in the evening and I'm only 6.5 weeks!!

CTR1000 · 29/04/2021 23:01

8 weeks tomorrow! 37 and first pregnancy. We were super lucky and managed to conceive at literally the first go - had presumed it would be difficult as I’m older. Early scan booked for Sunday and just keeping everything crossed.

Have been surprised by just how sore my boobs are - but also how cold I am all the time! Anyone else experiencing this? I’m normally super warm, sit outside with a T-shirt on in the winter type but a the minute I’m perpetually under a blanket on the sofa!!!

MushroomQueen · 30/04/2021 07:03

@CTR1000 yes, some days boobs are super sore and full. Others like today for me aren't sore but they've already grown and I'm only 6.3/4 as I can't cup them same way. Weird boobs

Cuddles21 · 30/04/2021 07:25

Hi @CTR1000 and welcome aboard!

I'm lucky in that I haven't really felt nauseous to date (touching wood here!) but like you, my boobs are very sore and I'd never have thought it could have been as bad as it is! I can't even walk fast as it hurts! 😆

AnonymousXXIX · 30/04/2021 07:27

Should be exactly 6 weeks today, but no symptoms at all which is still freaking me out. Had cramps first week I knew and then felt ill 1 time on Tuesday... and since then... nothing. I know others would count themselves lucky but omg I wish there was some sign of something going on!

Sair44411 · 30/04/2021 08:00

[quote tuxedocat]@Sair44411 amazing news!

Bleeding and shooting pains.
They just wanted to rule out ectopic which is why I got the scan but it was so much of a relief to know it's in the right place and has a heartbeat.
It was the most overwhelming thing I've ever seen - total wave of happy emotion watching it's little heart pulsing away.

I don't have any symptoms either - it's so weird!!

If anything I think I've lost my appetite but that's about it!

Pineapple87 · 30/04/2021 08:02

I have really sore boobs 2 weeks now, I’m a 38G and now my bra no longer fits,
People have noticed how much bigger they have got but luckily haven’t clicked on.
I had to fill my bath higher than my boobs yesterday as they hurt soooo much X

climbershell · 30/04/2021 08:14

Definitely be thankful no symptoms, they'll come and then you'll wish they didn't! I didn't feel particularly nauseous until almost 7 weeks, them boom instantly horrendous

Quite liking the fact my usual flat chested self actually has some boobs tho lol

tuxedocat · 30/04/2021 08:34

@Sair44411 - so glad they saw you and everything checked out ok ☺️

climbershell · 30/04/2021 09:12

I have a late start today 10am, had to move first job to tomorrow as involves chemicals so my OH is doing it. But OMG I just want to stay in bed 🤢

My cats laying on my belly & especially padding their paws before they settle is not ideal now lol

sjhs86 · 30/04/2021 09:49

@climbershell I hear you re the cat. I’ve got a huge Maine Coon and he’s become particularly interested in padding my tummy since we fell pregnant! He’s pretty heavy but I have plenty of padding for him to pad at the moment 😂

Has anyone else started to experience the metal taste yet? I woke up this morning thinking I had bleeding gums with the taste but I didn’t, it’s just a metal flavour.... so gross.

Em39ma · 30/04/2021 10:16

Have now been sick 4 times since 8 am. 19 month old is getting concerned and very clingy. My parents are trying to distract her but all she wants is mummy, but all mummy wants to do is curl up into a ball.

MrsPussinBoots · 30/04/2021 11:00

Hi CTR, I'm freezing all the time at the moment too (6+2). Today I'm wearing fluffy trousers, two jumpers and sitting next to a heater. Luckily I'm working from home!
