Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option Flowers

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me Smile I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

Let's have a little update on everyone to get started...

Hi everyone, would you mind if I joined?! I’m a longtime lurker on the original bus (since July) and was literally gearing myself up to finally join in when I got my BFP and thought it wasn’t the right time any more!

I’m 29, first baby but second pregnancy- I had an ectopic in September and had to have a tube removed. However it doesn’t seem to have slowed us down too much and I’m now 12 weeks... Scan on Friday so very excited for that!

I’m sorry, I hope this isn’t weird... I feel like I know you lot already but I’m just some rando to you lot 😂🙈

Sausage1990 · 24/03/2021 21:07

Hi @kate105 welcome! You're more than welcome here, I'm so glad you've joined in.
Sorry to hear about your difficult journey and congratulations on your current pregnancy.
Have you had your 12 weeks scan yet? How are you doing in general this pregnancy? Xx

Haiyaa · 24/03/2021 21:31

Wow bus is filling up nicely! Welcome @Kate105 good to have you on board. Fantastic that you were able to conceive again so quickly after your ectopic.

@Sausage1990 will I POAS tomorrow? Hmmmmm, do bears shit in the woods? 🐻💩🤣🤣🤣🤣 I want to hold out until I get a better line on the femometer strips before doing a digital but if you weren’t getting strong positives from them but did get a “pregnant” on the digital maybe I will just do it on day AF is due. Oooooh with your HCG I wonder if it will be twinnies 👯‍♀️

Sausage1990 · 24/03/2021 21:45

@haiyaa haha such a stupid question oh course we're both peeing on sticks daily haha🤣🤣🤣
Yeah I got the digital "pregnant" at 12dpo when my frer was darker. I'll add the photo again so you can see how dark my frer was. I'm sure you'll get a pregnant on yours either way. I've got done a frer since Tuesday so I'm looking forward to seeing the colour change tomorrow... Hopefully 🤞🏻

Well we can speculate about twins lol but I don't think so. I just think I probably had an earlier implantation that's all... God the thought of twins freaks me out ahah. I am one and so my parents have literal life experience so would be well equipped to support us but jesus 2 newborns 😳... Let's have 1 baby this time and then next time we can have twins. Haha

Hi everyone @Sausage1990 thank you for setting this up just what we needed.
I'm 9+1 today had my booking appointment with midwife so still waiting on 12 week scan appointment.
As I thought will be under consultant as this is my 4th and all my other 3 were sections and big babies. So baby due 26th October but will be born 2 weeks before that.
Went back to work last Sunday after 3 weeks off still feeling a bit nauseous but not being sick can't wait to enjoy my food again.
Xxx

Sausage1990 · 24/03/2021 21:48

Oops sorry photo (at 12dpo)... @haiyaa

Heeyy @DJmum83 glad you're doing better and the sickness has eased. Even though the nausea is still lingering, it's definitely more manageable then being sick. Can't believe your 9+1 already, feels like 5mins ago you had your BFP.
How was your booking appointment? X

Thank you for the welcome 😊 it’s nice to be out in the open now 😂 my scan is on Friday morning so super excited for that. Had an early scan at 7 weeks because of the previous ectopic so at least we know it’s there and in the right place this time...!

DJmum83 · 24/03/2021 22:07

@Sausage1990 it went well so happy I got my favourite midwife they asked who I would prefer and I got her she is the loveliest kindness lady.

How are you feeling. Your lines are looking good and looked like mine at 12dpo xx

Gem176 · 24/03/2021 22:47

@lucyrp bumps are a lot tougher than we give them credit for!! I slipped and landed hard while I was quite far along with dd, can't remember when exactly but it was summery and warm (so around June/July time in Scotland 😂) so 28 weeks plus and while I was absolutely terrified everything was fine. She didn't miss a beat with her regular kicking, punching and general wriggling. Actually can't wait for feeling baby movements again. I'm videoing every single movement this time and taking bump pics daily 😂 I didn't last time and so wish I had!

@Kirky658 that bit about scar tissue could explain my weird pains when coughing/sneezing/rolling.... maybe my section scar stretching?? It's very odd and I think it's a bit early for round ligament pain as I've been getting it since v v early 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Thinkingandblinking hope you start feeling a bit more relaxed about things in the coming weeks. I was a wreck until my 12 week scan, a bag of anxiety no matter what people told me so I won't be cliche and tell you to relax and enjoy it, I'll just say I hope the next 7 weeks pass quickly and you feel a bit more comfortable come trimester 2 🌈

@Justanothercyster in fairness even before pregnancy sleeping and eating was life 😂😂 I miraculously dodged stretch marks last time and didn't do anything, just resigned myself to the fact they were part and parcel. Now this time I've got these impossibly high standards of no stretch marks to live up to and just know I'll end up covered in them!! I'd made my peace with them last time round and now I really don't want them 🙄 bloody typical!

@Kate105 welcome 😊 and good luck for Friday! Sorry to hear you haven't had the easiest of roads.

@Haiyaa no expert but during my months of ttc and googling if cb digi can miss a positive etc I'm sure they are 10miu (frer are 6) and did I read on here or ttc bus that femometer ones are 25?? If that's the case then digi positive before dark lines would be expected?

@Sausage1990 twins first would be easier.... you wouldn't know any better then any future newborns would be literally half the work... if twins came after a single you would be doubling your work! C'mon the 2 for 1 on chipolatas 🤣

@DJmum83 delighted you got the mw you wanted, nothing better than liking your team! Nausea isn't great but at least you aren't sick sick any more! I'm also a c sectioner and they are pushing for 39 weeks despite last time me not even making 39 weeks and now living 3 hours from hospital!! He's told me no one does sections at 38 weeks 🤬 lying git!

Since we are a pregnancy bus who fancies playing pink or blue with my scan photo? I'm useless at this and have no idea 🙈😂 we'll be finding out on the 27th April but I'm impatient 🙄

Hi everyone! Taking my seat on the bump bus.

A little introduction: Currently 7+1 with baby #1. First scan was yesterday and everything looked good Smile Had a MMC at 8+1 and found out at what would have been just over 9 weeks in October of last year. Ended up waiting to try again for two cycles as my best friend is getting married in August and I didn't want to be late 3rd trimester on a 9 hour flight! Have been massively lucky got pregnant on the second attempt this time.

Unfortunately the exhaustion has hit HARD. Slept for 10 hours last night and have already had a 30 minute nap this morning. Feel really bad for the pup as her walks have gotten a little shorter and I haven't been able to play with her as much. On the flip side I caved and have been letting her cuddle with me on the couch which she adores.

@Gem176 I'm going to guess blue!

Haiyaa · 25/03/2021 07:20

Morning everyone!

@Gem176 I’m going to guess pink 😊 I have the digital with weeks which I think is also 25miu but the one that just says pregnant/not pregnant is more sensitive so maybe I should have got those 😂 they definitely do sections before 39 weeks. You might have to have the steroid injections first though which might be a pain if you are 3 hours away? I had two I think, about a week apart.

Not looking forward to the c-section scar playing up, I hear it’s quite common 😥 and I am such a wuss!

@Sausage1990 have done another FRER which is progressing nicely and have a bit more of a shadow on Femometer so I guess by 14 DPO I should be just about there. I agree with Gem, twins first would be easier, I’m bricking it as we have twins on both sides 😵

@TTCAbroad if your pup Is smart she’ll prefer cuddles over walks 😂 has she been acting any differently around you since becoming pregnant?

@DJmum83 glad you have a midwife that you like. Makes it easier when the relationship is already there.

Sausage1990 · 25/03/2021 07:42

@haiyaa that's some really lovely line progression 💕 it's so reassuring isn't it. I did my 14dpo frer this morning which has nice progression too so I can take a breath now lol. I've only got 1 free left so I kinda want to leave that a bit longer before I redo it. Maybe on Sunday or Monday which isn17/18dpo

@ttcabroad welcome lovely 😊 gald you've found us. We really have had a similar journey recently. MMC around the same time and now BFP in a similar time frame ...we actually caught on our 2nd cycle this time too so we're clearly in sync you and I, even from far away lol. Low energy levels is a real struggle, I don't know how I'd manage in work if I get exhaustion like that 😐 how do people manage? I mens we can't even have much caffeine to pick us up lol

@gem176 I think girl so I going pink 💗

@haiyaa and @sausage1990 wooohooooooo they're both looking amazing ❤️

@gem176 keen to know how the hell you stay up past 10pm tbh are you a superhero 🤣

I got up with DH at 6am, walked the dog, he went to work at 7 then I napped on the sofa for an hour!

lucyrp · 25/03/2021 09:12

Just for reference ladies this was my progression, wouldn't advise testing anything past 25dpo as my lines started getting lighter and panicked myself! It's because the levels of HCG are so high the tests can't handle it! X

Gem176 · 25/03/2021 11:03

@TTCAbroad the exhaustion is a killer! I've dodged the worst of nausea and sickness but oh man the need to sleep! Our dog thinks the sofa is his bed 😂 partly my fault but mostly OH who definitely didn't want another dog and if we got one it was going to have a bed in the kitchen, sofa was off limits and so was our bed..... how I laugh now as I'm telling the dog to move so I can get into bed while OH looks miffed that his giant hot water bottle has been shifted!

@Haiyaa cracking progression there 👌🏻 I know they do them before 39 weeks it's just my consultant is a massive ass who dislikes sections and would do anything to avoid one including sending a first time mum home in the early stages of labour 4 days before their scheduled elective date. I know he's going to be awkward again and I feel I'll have to change to a different dr. I'm happy to have a section but there are now TWO separate medical reasons behind my sections instead of just one so he really can't continue to be awkward..... add in the increased risk from a vbac and I think he will either have to capitulate or move me into the care of someone else 🤷🏻‍♀️
What's this about scars playing up??

@Sausage1990 lots of lovely progression there too 👌🏻😁 happy days!!

@Kirky658 definitely not a superhero!! Regular naps and I don't get up until 8am as I'm working from home! Your 6am start just would not happen here 😂 oh is being rather lovely and doing the school run for me so I only have to get up in time to get dd ready for school, only need to make myself presentable if I have a video call 👍🏻 i do uniform and packed lunches the night before so it's literally just breakfast, washed, dressed and out the door....

Kirky658 · 25/03/2021 11:10

@gem176 you are very lucky haha. I'm also working from home, don't start till 9 but DH has to go to school at 7am so we are always up early. Then the dog wakes us at the weekend.

Gem176 · 25/03/2021 11:52

@Kirky658 so lucky to have a lazy dog and dd, neither are ever on the go before 8am without a bit of persuasion 😂 I know I'll be buggered this time round with a pre dawn riser 🙈

Kirky658 · 25/03/2021 12:02

@gem176 I'm hoping our doggo will sleep in a bit when the clocks change this weekend as it will be darker in the mornings. I think it's the sunrise that gets him up as where he sleeps is next to the orangery so he gets all the sunshine!

lucyrp · 25/03/2021 12:02

As for going to bed early in the first trimester and up until a few weeks ago I was going to bed at around 8 but now my sleep has gotten so bad i get a better nights sleep if I hang out downstairs until about 10/11 then go to sleep as I make it through til the morning without waking where as if I go to sleep earlier I wake at around 12/1 and toss and turn and see every hour until morning !

Justanothercyster · 25/03/2021 12:33

Lovely progression pics :)

I can't stay awake past 8 now 👵🏼 and so jealous I want a nap! It's inhumane to be pregnant and have to teach secondary 😰

Kirky658 · 25/03/2021 13:30

Just been for my run that I sacked off last night. It was 12 degrees 'feels like' 9 supposedly but I felt so much warmer than of late! I think next time I'll stick to the mornings or evenings. Glad it's done though, beans on toast time now 😁

@Kirky658 I have running envy...stopped for now just with my history but would love to blow the cobwebs away with a swift jog!

Loving progression pics @lucyrp mine are similar to yours, got 3+ on digi around same time 21dpo 🤞🏻 I had to stop using one steps as they started to go weird, all patchy!
