Minster's Side car bumping along - TTC Graduates Bus 1

Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

Could be @Minster2012 I had horrible headaches in the first trimester, that was worse than the nausea some days!

No news here, just enjoying lazy weekends while I have no one else to look after 😂 also school is a nightmare, I'm knee deep in assessments and trying to find someone to cover my mat leave next year... Trying not to stress too much about it because I know it's not really my problem but it's hard not to take it personally! Our first set of interviews fells through and our HR guy won't chase new applications because "we don't want to seem desperate". Except we are...!

We're kind of back to normal on the sex front, which is about twice a week for us. I have a higher libido than my OH usually but I think we're about equal now so definitely no horny surge from me either...!

@minster2012 love it! Haha. I have headaches and spots constantly but i remember about 8 weeks in I was covered in spots and constantly had headaches.

@Minster2012 at your stage I was covered in spots and terrible headaches.
Good sign with the symptoms.

@DJmum83 I've no real idea what stage I am atm after the scan but I'm hopefully maybe it's turned 6 weeks now?? If I'm getting a few mild symptoms. Soooooo bloody exciting on your cannon, and what a lovely scan pic 🥰😘hope you have a fab time with the kids!

I am prone to migraines so headaches aren't great 😬I'm hoping they don't stay @Kate105, that doesn't sound great for your school, they need to get on it, when do you plan on going on mat leave?

@Minster2012 if you remember i messaged you a couple of times complaining about the awful migraines i had that made me sick and i've never had that before only whilst pregnant!

@Minster2012 I'm due end of Sept so will take the next academic year off, so I've literally made it as easy as possible for them in terms of timing! They've known since March and all decent teaching jobs are supposed to be tied up by the end of May, so they've sat on this and it's their own fault...!

Exciting for the pram shopping @Kirky658 keep us posted! I am waiting for my 20 week scan on Thursday to really let rip with the big purchases... 🤞🏻

Congratulations on your girl @DJmum83! I don't think I've asked but did anyone or does anyone have an inkling of which sex they are having? My husband dreamt we are having a girl and the fact I'm feeling sick which apparently happens more when you are having a girl makes me just have a feeling it is. The good thing is though I really don't mind whether it's a girl or boy. Probably because it's our first too. Also deep down I know it doesn't matter as it's just a sex and a girl can be girly or a tomboy and the same goes with a boy. Doesn't tell you anything about what they will grow up to like!

@2020mission i was sick the same as i have been this time with my son so i hate to say it but don't think that means anything 🙈🙈 i honestly have no idea but a feeling it's a boy maybe

Haha fair enough @lucyrp i was mostly going on my mums experience there. She felt absolutely fine with my brother but had bad nausea on her second pregnancy with me. The Chinese gender predictor shows girl for me too 😅 of course it's completely random though! Have you had a chance to find out yet Lucy? Can't remember if you just decided to keep it a surprise or whether you haven't had a chance to find out.

@2020mission i was really sick with my first and not sure if i was worse this time or not 🙈 a lot of people have guessed boy for me as i'm all bump ay the moment and haven't put weight in anywhere else which is supposed to mean boy🤷🏼‍♀️ i had all girl guesses via nub theory on both 12 and 20 week scans so no idea 🙈 yeah we've decided to keep it a surprise!

@2020mission I have no idea why, I just had an inkling I was having a girl. I had very little sickness in fact I was only sick once and had nausea a reasonable amount. My MIL predicted a girl based on a lack of unusual cravings! Haha x

My first 2 were girls and I had no sickness at all with them never even felt sick.
My 3rd was a boy I had bad nausea all day with him until 18 weeks. I was sure this one was a boy, but another girl and I have been really sick/ nausea still am at 16 weeks.
With my first girl I ballooned all over, second girl I was just bump and thighs i out on weight.
With my boy I was just a massive big bump, and this one I seem to be all over arms thighs tummy and face.

Interesting about the boy /girl theories, did anyone ok here do the sway thing & now know??

I swayed to get boy after the 2 girls and I got him no idea if it was that or we would have got boy anyways.

The kids are over the moon my wee boy kept shouting boy boy and when he seen the pink he was like but I wanted a brother but he is good now kissing my belly xx

I totally forgot to take everyone for their kind words about my 13wk scan! 4 weeks till the next one and it seems like an eternity. But I’m heading back to my home country for a visit (and to get vaxxed!) in two months and that seems so soon - funny how these things work!

@DJmum83 Congratulations 🎉 Did you find out gender with each of your kids?

@Kirky658 ohhh nice! Did you get to take it home right away? How many did you look at? I’m really excited about stroller shopping 🤷🏻‍♀️

@2020mission I haven’t had any inclinations one way or another - but my sister just had a girl and felt really similar to me so I might be leaning towards girl?

@ttcabroad they had a shop full of travel systems but we had a good idea from their website before going in what we wanted to spend and what features we wanted it to have, so we looked at maybe 3 in the shop. The assistants were there just to show us how to put it up and down really!

It's being delivered Tuesday 😊

I'm dreading being back at work today after Friday's drama with the MAU. Don't really want to have to go through it all with my colleagues...
