Yeah they got darker last month until 19dpo when I started spotting and then it was super faint again on cd20 and the bleeding started. So it's a long way to go until I get to that point! Another 6 days to get through. Feels like an eternity!

I will be thinking of you for your scan. Will you share a picture when you get it? What time is it?

Daffodil21 · 24/02/2021 21:06

@treesall I really really hope that's not the case 🤞

Thank you. It's at 8:20pm (they're open until 9pm which is handy for after work). I will post a pic if you want to see it, but I understand that they can be triggering! This is of course if I come home with one 🙈

I'd love to see it @Daffodil21. Although I will be sad if my pregnancy doesn't work out, I don't resent anyone else's. :-)

Daffodil21 · 24/02/2021 21:43

@treesall hopefully I will post tomorrow but been feeling a bit crampy this evening 😩

treesall · 25/02/2021 16:19

@Daffodil21 how are you feeling? Best of luck tonight, I'll be thinking of you xx

Daffodil21 · 25/02/2021 16:39

@treesall dreading it tbh. Ended up taking the day off work and have spent the whole day in bed 🙈

How are you doing? X

treesall · 25/02/2021 16:55

Oh I can only imagine the anxiety. Hopefully you will have the best reassurance in a few hours.

I'm good thank you. Was a bit gutted as still on 1-2 weeks on CB this morning and I was really hoping to see it go up today. But amazingly, I retested this afternoon and got 2-3 💜 obviously I know it doesn't guarantee anything and my first mc was later, after 3+ etc but it's further than I got with the last 2 and so is the best reassurance I could ask for at this very early stage. I feel like I can actually try to hope about this pregnancy now, rather than just feel despair.

Daffodil21 · 25/02/2021 17:01

@treesall yes!!!! That's brilliant news. Crossing everything for you x

@Daffodil21 the best update! So pleased for you. Hope you are feeling a little more relaxed now.

HalGem99 · 26/02/2021 07:41

Hi everyone! For some reason im not getting an email to say people are posting on this thread so just found all the comments by chance as I was coming on to see how everyone was doing! Lol

@Daffodil21 that scan pic is just amazing!!!! I've got a week to wait!

@treesall that's amazing that you're progressing! I've got everything crossed for you! Xx

Daffodil21 · 26/02/2021 09:21

Wahhhhh my HR is dropping every day and my test line looks a bit lighter today. Feeling really worried :-(

Daffodil21 · 27/02/2021 16:37

@treesall I really think you should take your HR monitor off, stop the testing and book a test for as early as you can without it being too early. I get it, I really really do. I took my Fitbit off when I got my bfp as I knew I would be focussing on it too much. It's not going to do you any good worrying about things like this when it's too early to get checked ❤️ the waiting game really is so hard! X

treesall · 27/02/2021 16:47

Thanks @Daffodil21. I know you're right. I'm an absolute paranoid mess. The repeated testing gave me the early warning last month before I started bleeding so it wasn't such a horrible shock, and I keep telling myself I won't test tomorrow and then I do it anyway because I am so desperate for any kind of reassurance. I'm still 3 days away from when it went wrong last time so I just can't relax. Thanks for replying. I have a scan booked for bang on 6 weeks but it'll be an absolute miracle if I am still pregnant then.

Daffodil21 · 27/02/2021 17:17

@treesall I know it's so easy to say but it's really not going to do you any good monitoring it like this when there's nothing you can do to change the outcome. I know the days go so slowly at the beginning and it really is horrible to feel so helpless. I'm glad you've got a scan booked and I really really hope it turns out ok for you.

Remember we are here are this is exactly what this group is for, to help you get through it ❤️

@treesall have you thought any more about asking the GP to check your HCG levels?

OP posts:
HalGem99 · 27/02/2021 17:38

@treesall I completely agree with @daffodil21. Although it's so hard and if I'm honest I would probably be doing the same as you but from an outside prospective it's not healthy and isn't going to change anything apart from make you more paranoid. But again I completely understand! Sending lots of positivity and keeping everything crossed!

Is your partner being supportive? Xx

treesall · 27/02/2021 17:45

Thank you @HalGem99 and @Daffodil21. I have turned into an obsessive lunatic, it's completely ridiculous.

My GP said she wouldn't do anything and she wanted to refer me to EPU, which she did, and they called me and said they won't do anything but have booked a scan for 6 weeks, if I make it that far. I do understand why they won't - it's just a waste of their resources really because testing hcg doesn't change the outcome, it might just help me not go quite so totally insane!

Sorry for letting loose on you all. My DH is lovely but he is very disconnected from all the pregnancies and miscarriages. Says things like "nevermind, we can't do anything about it" when I miscarry etc. He just tells me to stop worrying about it, which I know is right but is genuinely impossible for me right now! I think it's different for a guy because it's just not on his mind, and he doesn't understand that it's basically constantly at the back of my mind always.

HalGem99 · 27/02/2021 17:51

@treesall we've all been there so we're the best people to let loose on as we know the emotions you're going through.

My husband was exactly the same. Always saying what will be will be and we just have to deal with it. It used to make me so mad but deep down I think he said it to try to make me feel better.

How far gone are you now? It's good that you have a scan for 6 weeks xx

treesall · 27/02/2021 18:09

@HalGem99 only 4+4 so still extremely early days. I can't believe I've only known for a week - it feels like it's been forever, but I suspect because it's happened 3 months in a row it's all just blurring into one long stretch of anxiety, hope and disappointment!

Daffodil21 · 27/02/2021 18:16

@treesall your husband sounds like mine too. He's very much 'there's nothing we can do about it' generally I don't feel particularly supported by hun but there's not really a lot he can do I guess.

You never have to apologise flit us. We get it. I'm 16 weeks and I still have a scab every 1-2 weeks because I work myself go into such a lunatic state worrying something is wrong!

I really hope this one works out for you. I've had a loss 2 months in a row, then the 3rd loss wasn't until 10 months later. 3 months in a row must be very disheartening but don't give up hope x

OP posts:
HalGem99 · 27/02/2021 18:29

@treesall your scan will soon be here. In the meantime, take it a day at a time.

@Daffodil21 have you got any symptoms? My tiredness is still so bad and now I have had three days of indigestion and heartburn and headaches as well as nausea! I had a full on meltdown on the phone to my mum yesterday!

Xx

Daffodil21 · 27/02/2021 18:33

@HalGem99 I keep saying that I don't really have any symptoms but we did the weekly shop today and my back hurt so much and I was so tired that I just wanted to sit on the floor and cry 😂 we're back now and I've had a nap so all good.

I'm lucky that I haven't had nausea. I do get headaches quite a lot but mostly first thing in the morning and they usually clear after breakfast. I also look huge. There is definitely no hiding this now. But I took my last steroid dose today and in a week I'll be halving the progesterone dose, so I'm hoping my weight will start to even out a bit now (but I doubt it!). Small price to pay though!
