@AnxiousAnnie86 I know! I'm praying they're wrong, it's terrifying! Did they all have to have C sections too?

They think it might be my husbands fault (he's quite tall) I'm not very big-I'm 5 foot 4 1/2 and when I'm not pregnant I'm under 60 kg - I haven't gained any weight anywhere except my belly either so it's quite scary to think I'm possibly cultivating a giant...

AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/06/2021 11:48

@TheOrangeMonster 😂😂 at least their clothes will fit! Everything is too big for mine! They may have it wrong! I was told I was gonna have a 6lb baby at best she was 6.7 but o think that's based on length them saying 6. As she's so so short,

So maybe you will have a tall baby but not too heavy 😂

TheOrangeMonster · 28/06/2021 17:46

@AnxiousAnnie86 well my husband has a 31 inch waist so he's a skinny stick - perhaps the baby will be too!

Blossom428 · 29/06/2021 07:49

Aw that's good to hear you are liking breastfeeding more than you thought. My friend was like that and it totally freaked her out before, but then realy enjoyed it. @AnxiousAnnie86
I'm just going to not put too much pressure on myself, if it's really hard I'll try pump and if I struggle with that then formula is still fine in my eyes! Fed is best like they say ☺️

I'm all good, by the end of the day I am quite uncomfortable with hip/ back pain from the day. Getting some little period pains randomly. Sooo excited now though. One more week of work after this one (and next week won't be much either as I've pretty much wound eveything down now too).

9lb- well a lot are inaccurate measurements. My friend gave birth vaginally to a 11lb 4 🙈🙈🙈 she now pregnant again a month behind me and so worried she will be huge again!
@TheOrangeMonster highly annoying about changing a your midwife too. That's really not good!

Blossom428 · 06/07/2021 09:17

How are you getting on @AnxiousAnnie86 - settling into home life with a newborn?

This is my last week of work, literally can't wait to finish now. Last couple of days my pubic bone feels SOOOOO bruised and hurts to walk. I'm hoping this is a sign he's moved right down in preparation to make his exist (early) haha 🤞🏽🤞🏽

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/07/2021 10:37

@Blossom428 hey!!!!! It's great! Very hectic and she literally does not sleep at night, I get about three 40 mins :( shes three weeks old today!!!

Is today your last day? Do you have two weeks to go? Xxx

How's everyone doing @AnxiousAnnie86 @Blossom428 @SS123456?

My Covid anxiety is through the roof, I'm terrified to go to my hospital appointment on Wednesday because the waiting room is always packed and stuffy, the worry is getting unbearable.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/07/2021 19:00

@TheOrangeMonster we are doing okay! Tiredness is tough!!!

My friends 38 weeks pregnant and just found out she has covid! She feels totally fine and has just been told she will be in a private room if she has baby!

Just keep a mask on and wear a visor too, sanitise constantly and uou will be absolutely fine! That's what I did! When is due date? Xxx

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 09/07/2021 19:20

@AnxiousAnnie86 glad to hear it. Sorry about the 40 mins sleep 😩
I wish they'd let me wear a proper FFP3 mask in the hospital (one of the ones that actually protects you) but they just make you wear those rubbish blue ones. EDD is 8th September, 2nd vaccine is 4th August.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/07/2021 19:32

@TheOrangeMonster I had my first today!!!

Can you not wear any you want?!?

OP posts:
SS123456 · 09/07/2021 20:29

@TheOrangeMonster I'm doing ok thanks. I know it's easy to say but not to stress over covid too much. The chances are you'll never get it and stress is harmful to baby in itself so try and relax as much as you can. I had covid in January when I was early pregnant and whilst I was pretty ill (I'm asthmatic) there was no problems with the baby because of it. I had my first vaccine in May and have managed to pull my second one forward to tomorrow as I didn't fancy having it at full term just incase I get some side effects this time around (illness and labour wouldn't be a good mix!). I'm 33 weeks and getting a lot more tired now but hanging in there fine at the moment. Due date is coming around quickly now! @AnxiousAnnie86 so glad all is going ok, I really hope you manage a bit more sleep really soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Blossom428 · 10/07/2021 08:22

Aw glad things are going well @AnxiousAnnie86 although must be hard with lack of sleep with 2 now!

Is your friends parter allowed in with her for labour? That's my worry is if my partner got covid then he wouldn't be able to come in with me.

38+2 here.. midwife said head is engaged now so that's good! Having odd cramps but nothing major.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 10/07/2021 08:28

@Blossom428 oooooh could be soon then! It's scary isn't it when you think it could literallt be any day! I had Guin at 38, labour started 37+5 and My eldest at 37 :) x

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 10/07/2021 09:10

@AnxiousAnnie86 no, our local hospital have people on the door that literally tell you to take off your mask and put on one of the blue ones they provide if you're wearing anything else! I suspect it's because fabric ones are even worse but it's so frustrating if you're actually wearing a better one!
How is the c-section recovery going? My doctors have started mentioning c-sections at my appointments (because the baby looks like it's going to be bigger and they're already concerned about the shape of my pelvis because of my genetic condition). Im ok with the idea of an op but it's the being awake that's scary!

@Blossom428 omg any day now! You could get early release! That's so exciting.

@SS123456 I think you're exactly two weeks ahead of me. Glad you've managed to pull your 2nd jab forward, I managed to do that too because it was originally booked for 27th August (11 days before EDD) for exactly the same reason. But 4th was earliest they would let me! My husband's asthmatic too, we think he had the original Covid right back in Feb last year, he wasn't very well.

Silly thing is I can actually see myself getting irrationally over-worked up about it all but I literally can't stop myself. I've never really suffered with anxiety before I got pregnant so it's a bit of a surprise! I suspect hormones are to blame 🤦‍♀️

AnxiousAnnie86 · 10/07/2021 09:31

@TheOrangeMonster I'll be honest I totally panicked going into the surgery, but it really wasn't that bad at all! The team there were absolutely amazing!! And your husband would be with you the entire time, it only takes five to get baby out and then you aren't thinking about anything but seeing them! X

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 10/07/2021 22:40

@AnxiousAnnie86 @TheOrangeMonster I know!!! I hope so- really can't take this pain much longer. By evenings it's so sore and in bed tossing and turning all night. Constantly have to have a pillow between my legs as it hurts to have them closed.

How your c section incision doing? Is it healing okay?
I just really want to try avoid one for the fact that you can't drive for 6 weeks afterwards, as I would feel a bit stuck. But I guess being in baby bubble it isn't too bad anyways.

@TheOrangeMonster it is so strange how our brain and mind work isn't it! But you've Jsut got to think what's right for you and your family, putting you and baby first for eveything.
Are you having growth scans if measuring big?

TheOrangeMonster · 11/07/2021 09:03

@Blossom428 yes, growth scan every two weeks now! It's still above the 97th percentile line. My poor belly is massive, I'm hoping my skin holds out as touch wood I haven't got any stretch marks yet.

Blossom428 · 11/07/2021 09:39

Ohhh really @TheOrangeMonster - however they can still be inaccurate even the scans 🤞🏽🤞🏽
I'm a bit confused where what percentile I am, as I was measuring small but then had a growth scan and measured me bigger- but then gone back to bump measurements which are obviously lower than the growth scan. Then I jumped up a line. So god knows what I'm on haha.

I just got a full syringe of colostrum!! I'm so proud haha!! Thought I would just have a little try as I've seen people doing it. Took a lot of patience one tiny drop at a time kind 😂🙈

My partner is like- any other day but just not today, don't go into labour today 😂😂 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

TheOrangeMonster · 14/07/2021 17:30

@AnxiousAnnie86 how's the C-section recovery going? Are you getting on ok and able to do things?
Ive just been given the "heads up" that's it's highly likely they'll recommend I have one at my next appointment because baby is a big'un, I'm a bit nervous at the idea!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 15/07/2021 07:17

@TheOrangeMonster hey, I'm 4 weeks tomorrow post op and feel fine, still have some pulling pains etc but nothing major, the first week is the worst then it really improves quite quickly! It was bad for me but that's because I can't take any pain killers as I'm allergic, the other women on my ward seemed fine!!!! The biggest issue is the not being able to drive!

How is everyone, @Blossom428 any signs?

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 15/07/2021 14:44

@AnxiousAnnie86 that's good to hear, I'm glad you're recovering. Is the wound healing up ok?

@Blossom428 you must be getting really close now?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 15/07/2021 15:28

@TheOrangeMonster I honestly didn't dare look at it for a couple weeks I kept making my husband look! But when I did I was shocked!!! There's literally nothing to see! It's like a thin line that's it, no stitches or anything! X

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 15/07/2021 17:46

@AnxiousAnnie86 that's reassuring.
I know you were nervous going in - did they give you antibiotics beforehand and make you wear compression stockings? Sorry, if I'm asking too much please say!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 15/07/2021 17:52

@TheOrangeMonster of course not ask anything you want! They give you antibiotics after the op, they also give you blood thinners to make sure you don't get any clots, as well as making you were stockings, honestly it all was so much more straight forward then I thought! When it's planned c section it all feels so so calm! X

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 15/07/2021 21:25

So pleased you are feeling well with the c section recovery @AnxiousAnnie86

Yep @AnxiousAnnie86 @TheOrangeMonster I'm 39 weeks today- one week till d day. But I've a feeling I'm going to go over 😭😭 no signs really, but if cramping that's all. Every time I get up in the night for a wee I'm like are my waters Going to go when I stand up 😂🙈 need to try not think about it and just relax.
Enjoying my maternity leave though and now we've got some nice weather ☀️ although has gone very hot 🥵🥵
How do you even know how to dress a baby in this weather. That's my worry!!
