@mabelelsie I know! It's going to start speeding up now I think! We have one weekend where we don't have something planned between now and her coming. And I'm a bridesmaid the weekend before she is due by c section!! We thought we were organised but her room is just filled with stuff 😂😂 not to mention no name!
My back absolutely killed from day dot! It still does now! It felt like it had a sharp pain which sometimes ached really low down! I got a maternity ball which helps a little x

What prams/ travel systems has everyone got of thinking of getting?
We went pram shopping on Saturday- god never knew how hard it would be haha.
Narrowed it down to oyster 3, mamas and papas occarro or nuna mixx.
Think going to go to John Lewis again next week and just try out one more time!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 19/04/2021 20:07

@Blossom428 we went for the Doona, we won't be using it that much as spent a fair bit on a carrier, we have the puppy so I won't be able to push a pram and walk when on our own, so thought a small pram was best and then spent a fair bit on the carrier, we went for the baby bjorn one air x

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 19/04/2021 22:23

@AnxiousAnnie86 ahh yeah!!
Yea I've been looking at the baby borjn carrier one air and think we are going to get that too! Looks good and can use on front and back.

SS123456 · 20/04/2021 07:02

@mabelelsie yes I'm suffering with the same pain too! It seems worse at the end of the day, particularly if I have been doing a lot

@Blossom428 I've just bought the bugaboo bee 6. I had the same buggy with my DS 9 years ago and it was great so I just got the new version of the same model. It lasted the full 3-4 years he used a buggy so was well worth it

mabelelsie · 20/04/2021 08:41

A wedding will be fun 🤩 and feel like some form of normality (even when heavily pregnant), have you managed to make a shortlist of names? @AnxiousAnnie86

Yes, @SS123456 my tailbone pain seems worse when I sit on hard chairs for a long time so yesterday I didn’t and I didn’t feel pain once!

I’ve hit 14 weeks (well based on my 12 week scan) and I feel as though I’m not pregnant now, bloating has gone down and more energy 🤣 I’m assuming this is normal.

I’ve been looking at icandy peach all terrain, I live rural and need a pram with big wheels, any suggestions welcome.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 20/04/2021 09:19

@mabelelsie hahaha a short list. Ermmmmmmm we have a list! I will send it over any opinions welcome! Although there was talk of pushing my c section forward a couple of days to Monday 21st which is the first day of summer - the summer solstice so I love the idea of naming her Summer. Below is our Very extensive list, which I don't even like half of anymore!

Etta
Maggie
Eleanor
Connie
Pippa
Robyn
Delilah
Millie ( Amelia )
Pepper
Darcey
Ellen
Rae
Heidi
Ellis
Esther
Fern
Ginnie
Holly
Elsie
Elena
Riley
Mallory
Juno
Nellie
Lois
Juniper

Her middle name will be Amelia, if we don't use it as first, it's my grandmas name x

@AnxiousAnnie86 you have so many 😂😂. Is it worth trying to rank them in order of your top ones to try and eliminate some?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 20/04/2021 16:55

@SS123456 honestly, I've gone name blind!

My husband really really really likes Pepper, I hated it at first but am starting to come round. That's his favourite by a country mile!

My favourite is Juniper,

We both agree Millie (Amelia) is nice, but I feel like Amelia is sooooo overdone, and I prefer different names.

Gone off most of the other names on the list, but said we wouldn't take any off. X

@AnxiousAnnie86 we really don't mind what the sex is (and our hospital actually had a big sign up in the room saying they don't do the sex at scans so don't ask!)
Big chunky baby is all normal which is excellent - only took 20 mins because it was behaving perfectly!

We have three names of each gender which we have agreed on, and we are quite content with those so I think that's job done, we'll just pick one. I definitely have a preference of each out of those three but I know DH prefers another one to me. 😬

AnxiousAnnie86 · 21/04/2021 10:58

@TheOrangeMonster aww it's sooooo lovely to have a suprise! Especially if you have no preference. We didn't have a preference at all, but I have five nieces and no nephews! So it made sense to find out as there are a lot of hand me downs if it was a girl!

You are so lucky that you have names certain! I like three of each! I said I'd like to have a top three and see which she looks like! But we both have one we love and don't agree on 😂

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 21/04/2021 11:38

@AnxiousAnnie86 the only issue not knowing is unisex clothes are never really that unisex....
I was very surprised we managed to even get three we both liked, but it has taken the work out of it a bit!

@Blossom428 just spotted your question about prams - aren't they expensive - my goodness! We are going to be using my old pram which my parents kept! It was apparently a very pricey model back in the day and worked for both me and my sister. We'll steam clean it of course, but it's in great condition, you wouldn't know it was 27 years old! Turns out it doesn't have a mattress either, just a squishy sort of bottom, so we don't have to sort out a replacement for that. I'm so relieved it's saved us hundreds of pounds!

We bought a car seat really early because we saw it in a sale 50% off. It goes from birth up to age 4. Only problem is because of that it's MASSIVE so I'm not sure it'll be coming into the hospital building with us...

Does anyone know if you can pay for a private room in an NHS hospital to give birth/be in before and after active labour?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 27/04/2021 07:30

Morning ladies!!! How are we all?? Not much to report here! I'm just in the process of buying my hospital bag. I don't know why it's stressing me out so much! I just seem to have no idea what to pack! I don't know how long I'm going to be in for, with having a csection planned, does anyone have any experience of how long you stay for a planned section x

OP posts:
SS123456 · 27/04/2021 13:48

@AnxiousAnnie86 I haven't had a csection myself but I would think a couple of days but perhaps someone more experienced would know more?!

I'm doing ok thanks. Nearly 23 weeks and getting a fairly big bump now. Baby is moving around a lot! I just made this babygrow for when baby arrives 😁❤️

I've booked a 4D scan for the 5th June which I'm excited about

Are you any closer to choosing a name yet??

@SS123456 awwww I love it!!!! 😍 you are over halfway now! How do you feel 😂 I'm 31 weeks this week feeling huge! 7 weeks on Friday to go!! I can't wait to start seeing everyone's announcements!

We literally are at a standoff on names lol! Just gonna see when she gets here!! We had a scan booked for Friday morn 4d! But my husbands changed his mind 😩😩😩 he said he wants it to be a suprise!

OP posts:
SS123456 · 27/04/2021 14:14

@AnxiousAnnie86 apart from being a bit tired and fat I'm doing ok 😂. My pregnancy pillow has been a god send for at night so I'm sleeping a lot better now

Ooo 7 weeks is going to come around so quickly!! 😁

AnxiousAnnie86 · 27/04/2021 14:21

@SS123456 I know! I'm just really hoping she doesn't come early! We are not ready! I've just ordered my bag for hospital online so hoping I can get that packed and sorted. We need to buy all the nappies etc.

Her kicks are starting to get quite painful! And she's up under my ribs now so I can't breath. 😂

I'm still adamant on Juniper! I'm praying I can convince DH 😂

The pregnancy pillows are amazing aren't they! My sister bought me mine for Xmas and I couldn't live without it! I'm just looking at buying a nursing pillow for when she's here x

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 28/04/2021 22:41

@AnxiousAnnie86 which pregnancy pillow are you using? I literally can't get on with using a pillow but I wake up all night worrying I'll be on my back.

@SS123456 I always remember how far along you are because you're two weeks ahead of me! 😊

Does anyone else hate their bump? I can't get used to it - I'm scared I'm going to be massive. It's huge already (I've already been asked if it's twins) and it's so hard and looks like it's stuck on, it doesn't feel like me at all 😞 After all the time I spent wanting and trying for a baby it's almost making me feel worse because I have such a negative reaction to it.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 29/04/2021 09:28

@TheOrangeMonster I have the Niimo will link below

Niimo Pregnancy Pillow for Sleeping XXL Multifunctional Cushion for Nursing Breastfeeding Baby and Maternity Full Body Pillow Pregnant Women 100% Cotton Pillowcase Removable (Pink-White Hearts) https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B084GRRK9S/ref=cmswwrwaaapaglttfabc7VW50BF7BWXAPTJHCYKY??encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I have a love hate with my body tbh! Some days I love my bump as I think I honestly thought I'd never get here and it feels like a little miracle, but then some days I feel terrible so uncomfortable and she's kicking my ribs constantly, and I think I can't wait for it to be over! X

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 29/04/2021 19:35

I'm sure after everything you go through with labour at the end your partner will just be like, you can have your choice of name @AnxiousAnnie86 😂😂🙏🏼🙏🏼

@TheOrangeMonster im loving my changing body to be honest. I'm a lot bigger than I thought I would be, but so far haven't put Any weight on anywhere else really all jsut bump. It's just knowing what to wear I struggle with.
However jsut been to my 28week midwife appt and I'm measuring below 10th percentile, so now booked in for a growth scan tomorrow morning. Good they are looking at it straight away- midwife said it might just be the way he is lay. Least I get to see him again which I'm excited about.

Went pram shopping again today- just need to pick between oyster 3 and nuna mixx. Realy not much difference between the 2. And got to try out baby carriers too. 😆😆 think going to get the baby bjorn carrier one.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 29/04/2021 19:42

@Blossom428 I'm worried cos my 28 I was in 90th percentile but scan at 26 measured baby at 25tj so I must be all bump! Have another midwife apt next week x

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 29/04/2021 19:48

Oooh... do you have another scan? Or just midwife measuring bump? @AnxiousAnnie86
I've got to see how it goes tomorrow to depend if I'll need further monitoring or not. Hopefully everything will be okay though

AnxiousAnnie86 · 29/04/2021 20:17

@Blossom428 I had a scan at 26 to check placenta and they did growth, and she was absolutely fine but in 25th,MW Measured my bump and it's so high! So I will be interested to see what she says on Wednesday! Aww least you get to see your little boy! I'd love to see baby girl again x

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 29/04/2021 21:46

Ahhh yeah. Hopefully measuring all okay. @AnxiousAnnie86
Did you get a 4D scan? We haven't bothered but wonder if they will show a little bit tomorrow- although maybe not if it's just hospital one.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 29/04/2021 22:18

@Blossom428 we actually had one booked for tomorrow morning! But husband has changed his mind! He wants a complete suprise of what she looks like! X
