So this may be a little early to even start a thread. I got a positive digital test at 3 weeks 5 days. Today I am 4 weeks. From the date of my last period (11th January), my due date would be 18th October 2021 I know it's very early days and anything (literally) can happen but I was hoping to find like minded people!

When do people generally contact their GP?

Oh god @OnceUponAThread I’m so so sorry 💐 I don’t know what to say. We’re all here if you need a friendly ear xx

Ronnii · 01/03/2021 22:38
Thanks
poodlepip · 02/03/2021 07:14

Woke up today and no sore boobs any more. Anyone else had that? Thinking maybe it's a sign that not pregnant anymore 🙁

Jl2020 · 02/03/2021 07:16

@OnceUponAThread I’m so sorry to hear this, take care of yourself xx

Youllbeoldertoo · 02/03/2021 07:17

@poodlepip
This is my 3rd pregnancy and it’s common for signs to come and go in this early stage. It’s down to hormones fluctuation. Try not to think the worst, if you’re not cramping and bleeding then not having sore boobs won’t necessarily mean anything bad. Don’t google anything abs try and relax.

Jl2020 · 02/03/2021 07:20

@poodlepip I would try not to worry too much I think they can come and go!

I have only had nausea for a day and other than that I have absolutely no symptoms no sore boobs or anything so I am also worried something isn’t right plus I have only been able to get very faint positives on all tests iv done xx

jellybean13419 · 02/03/2021 07:56

So sorry to hear this @OnceUponAThread. Sending lots of love and thinking of you xxx

Ola85 · 02/03/2021 09:51

Good Morning!

I had an early night last night following the news from @OnceUponAThread 😕 I was asleep by 10:30pm which is extremely early for me and woke up soooo tired it's ridiculous. I'm looking forward to going back home from work and straight back to bed. I almost feel like Im having a cold but hope it's just tiredness, nothing else.

I had a chat with my husband last night about my fears and had to promise him I'll stop googling horror stories and try to be more positive...easier said than done but I will make an effort!!!

MeltingSnowflake · 02/03/2021 10:00

@poodlepip I worry about my lack of nausea too. This morning I was questioning a headache I woke up with (is that a sign I’m still pregnant? Or is it a miscarriage sign?) but it’s been driving me so crazy that now I’ve just reached the point where I think he’s either in there or he isn’t and there’s nothing I can do about it.

For what it’s worth, I have one friend who had one day of sickness, it went away and never came back and her pregnancy and baby were perfectly healthy.

Another friend was being sick right up until her early scan and there wasn’t a heartbeat.

It’s infuriating and unfair but we just don’t know.

sierraleona123 · 02/03/2021 10:21

So so sorry to read this @OnceUponAThread. Thoughts are with you and your partner. take care x

Ronnii · 02/03/2021 10:32

My symptoms have gone quiet, apart from boobs. Idk overthinking is easy but I'm trying not too. I'm still thinking I won't do an early scan

pixiedust21 · 02/03/2021 10:45

From what I've read and what someone else has said I think symptoms do come and go. Our bodies are doing all sorts to get ready for baby we just can't see it all.

I haven't had any nausea either but have sore boobs and I get cramps every evening. No bleeding though so just hoping for the best.

One of my good friends is a consultant obstetrician and told me what someone else has said, some women get sickness right up to birth, some absolutely sail through with healthy pregnancies. Obviously there's always a small sad chance things won't work out but I'm trying not to worry too much as there's literally nothing I can do.

Sending calm vibes to everyone. It's very difficult not knowing isn't it. X

AmberellaM · 02/03/2021 11:00

@Ola85

Welcome *@AmberellaM* and congratulations! I know exactly how it hurts when taking off a bra! I'm 34D and they feel so bruised! And this is just the beginning 😀 When did you get your positive? Have you told friends and family yet?
They're starting to feel bit better or I'm just getting used to it! Haha.

I told my mum the morning of the test which was beginning of last week and a friend from work so I have a little support network.

The news on my partners side has spread like wild fire though.

How about you?

I"m having waves of nausea and terrible headaches, that could be from the fact I've cut out caffeine and I used to guzzle water... can barely drink it atm.

Hope everyone is doing okay?

poodlepip · 02/03/2021 18:22

I did get a bit more sore boobs this afternoon and was soooo tired had to take a nap at work! So guess that may be a sign. I also thought caffeine withdrawal but guess has been a couple of weeks now ☕ funny aversions though I haven't wanted a coffee... Guess they are designed to make us not eat and drink things that we shouldn't?!

May have a scan tomorrow seeing the clinic for check up so 🤞

Hope everyone is coping ok. Such a nerve wracking time!

Raggeo · 02/03/2021 18:55

The tiredness! I'd forgotten about the tiredness in the first trimester. Except last time there was just to look after this time I have 14mo to entertain. Think I will be in bed immediately after him this evening. Counting down the minutes.

jellybean13419 · 02/03/2021 18:57

Hi everyone,
Has anyone had a UTI in early pregnancy? Went to the doctors today and got prescribed safe antibiotics. Just wondering if anyone has any home remedies that have worked? I've never had one before but Dr said they are very common and often recur.
9 weeks 4 days and trying not to countdown the days until the 12 week scan. I swear time takes on a whole new speed in the first trimester?!

Kona84 · 02/03/2021 19:19

Tiredness has hit me these last couple of days.
7+0 for me today sore boobs, starving and tired.
No nausea still

TBay07 · 02/03/2021 20:06

So sorry to hear @OnceUponAThread. Thinking of you ❤️

Yes @Kona84 I'm exhausted today, I feel as though I've been hit by a train 🙈 hoping to catch up on a bit of sleep tonight.

I've also been feeling very nauseous but not been sick yet. I've found ginger beer really seems to help with it though 🤷🏼‍♀️ so gonna keep on drinking that while it's doing the trick 🙈 any other tips welcome 🤢😬 xx

Ola85 · 02/03/2021 20:11

@jellybean13419 drink lots of cranberry juice! It will help a lot! You will pee non stop but that's necessary to clear your bladder of infection. Hope it won't last long x

I'm exhausted today! Came back home from work and went straight to bed for an hour.
My boos are already too big for my bras but I really don't want to buy anything pregnancy related until I see the baby on the scan ...
I also have had some mild cramps on and off all day

I swear to god I could do with some counselling due to the stress this whole process is causing me!!!!!
14 days until my scan! X

8dpwoah · 02/03/2021 20:43

@jellybean13419 I had one picked up at my first urine test in my first pregnancy ( I didn't know about it, I just thought smelly wee was a pregnancy thing...!). I got prescribed something that begins with nitro and had a bit of a rough time with them so the doctors swapped me onto amoxicillin and felt a lot better after 24 hours, obvs finished the course. The first ones worked great on the UTI they just didn't suit my stomach. Plenty of fluids and take it easy hopefully will get it shifted.

jellybean13419 · 03/03/2021 08:21

Will be stocking up on the cranberry juice today. Pretty sure it was amoxicillin he said he was prescribing, will find out later. So that is good to know that they worked pretty quickly for you! Thank you both xxx

MeltingSnowflake · 03/03/2021 08:36

Make sure it’s sugar free cranberry juice @jellybean13419 - sugar makes UTIs worse

Drumstick1223 · 03/03/2021 13:14

@TBay07 I totally forgot about ginger beer helping nausea. I had a can I the fridge and sipping away on it now. It feels like it's helping already. I've brevet been sick yet but feel just on the edge of being sick all day, from the first moment I eat. Eating seems to make it worse.

mooloop · 03/03/2021 13:36

Feel like I've been hit by the tiredness train today 😴 quite nauseous too.
