So this may be a little early to even start a thread. I got a positive digital test at 3 weeks 5 days. Today I am 4 weeks. From the date of my last period (11th January), my due date would be 18th October 2021 I know it's very early days and anything (literally) can happen but I was hoping to find like minded people!

When do people generally contact their GP?

Hi ladies, just read through everyone's updates. Hope you're all doing well.

Feeling nervous for my scan tomorrow.

I've got some lower back cramps tonight which are really freaking me out, it's amazing how quickly you forget as I can't think to my last pregnancy if it felt like this and my girl is only 14 months so it wasn't that long ago.

Is this normal? Anyone else having back cramps?
I've done a bit more than normal today, I've been working from home then straight into dinner and bedtime with my girl so not much activity during the week. Today we went to the swing park and just had quite an active day, my girl has been clingy too so lots of carrying her. So I'm thinking I'm sore as I've maybe just overdone it x

Raggeo · 28/02/2021 20:25

@drumstick1223 Good luck for tomorrow. My son is 14months too and also wants to be carried all the time just now... Only by me of course. I'm exhausted by the end of the day. Your sore back could well be just because of that. Fingers crossed for you.

Ola85 · 28/02/2021 20:27

@M392 we haven't told anyone too! I quite like having a little secret now but it can change any day ;)

@Drumstick1223 I had lower back pain on Friday - I'm opposite because I think it's because I spent all day at the desk! I did quite a lot of homework this weekend and feel better. I'm sure carrying your daughter has got an impact so try to rest and I'm sure all will be good! X

Kona84 · 28/02/2021 20:43

@OnceUponAThread congratulations.
My symptoms are mild and no sickness yet.
I’m 6+5 my boobs still hurt but definitely not as much as week 3-5.
I am feeling more tired but other than that I am feeling okay.
It’s weird isn’t it hoping to have nausea, but I think I will feel more reassured by having it.

At the moment I’m trying to take each day as they come and as long as I’m not bleeding I am trying not to worry the day away

OnceUponAThread · 28/02/2021 20:58

@Kona84 so so so weird to be wishing for more nausea. I feel like such a muppet but I know I would find it reassuring if morning sickness kicked it

OnceUponAThread · 28/02/2021 20:59

If it does start no doubt I will regret all this wishing for nausea.

Drumstick1223 · 28/02/2021 21:08

@Raggeo , yep same here, it's definitely a wee mama phase just now. Hope your doing ok, I'm guessing it's fine to be carrying them? Not like I have much choice lol. I've had to change how I was lying her down cos the cot was pressing hard on my belly.

@Ola85 , ah we're damned if we rest, damned if we move lol. Hope your back pain has calmed down.

I'm getting little twinges tonight too which I think is stretching so think I'm just feeling it. It may also be pre scan nerves and I'm overthinking everything lol.

pixiedust21 · 28/02/2021 22:12

I don't have any sickness either (I'm 7+5) and I think because morning sickness is the most commonly associated symptom it's weird not having it. @OnceUponAThread let us know how your scan goes xx

Jl2020 · 01/03/2021 08:02

Morning ladies, good luck to those of you having your scans today 💕

Drumstick1223 · 01/03/2021 08:39

Morning everyone, hope you're all doing good.

I've had a couple of wee twinges bottom right of my tummy when I've been moving, and a couple of times I've sneezed and it's sent pain round the bottom of my tummy. I remember these from my first pregnancy and it can be totally normal. Still takes me by surprise though.

Thanks @Jl2020 , getting nervous now and just praying everything is ok. Hope you're doing well.

Jl2020 · 01/03/2021 08:56

@Drumstick1223 let us know how you get on :) I’m doing ok thankyou, going to call the doctors today to atleast get my booking in appointment sorted for a few weeks time x

poodlepip · 01/03/2021 09:04

Good luck with the scans to those booked today 🤞

@Jl2020 For booking didn't call my GP, as it's all through the midwives just filled out a form online- might be worth a look as surgeries hard to get through at the mo so busy

I've had lots of pains and cramps. Making room!

I've got a specialist appointment on Wednesday as I have kidney disease, a bit nervous my consultant was so nice and called me at the weekend for advice 😬 got to take some blood pressure tablets but hopefully not too many complications they were v reassuring

Jl2020 · 01/03/2021 11:17

@poodlepip thankyou just done it online and says to expect a call in a few days :)
I hope your appointment goes ok on Wednesday! it’s always so much nicer when you end up speaking to someone nice on the phone though as does help put you at ease a little so I’m glad they were reassuring to you x

MeltingSnowflake · 01/03/2021 11:52

Good luck for everyone scanning today! 🍀

Kona84 · 01/03/2021 12:29

@OnceUponAThread i hope your scan goes well. Please update us

Ola85 · 01/03/2021 12:45

Just checking if there are any news from girls who have their scans today :)

I'm feeling a bit sleepy today and have mild nausea. Hungry but not hungry feeling in my tummy, too. How's everyone else?

OnceUponAThread · 01/03/2021 13:13

Think both @Drumstick1223 and I are scanning this evening. So won't be any news for a little while.

Soooooo nervous.

wirralsquirrel21 · 01/03/2021 13:36

Hi everyone!

I was thinking about all of those lucky ducks who aren’t feeling nauseous - my morning sickness arrived with a bang about 60 seconds after I started eating breakfast this morning! I’d been feeling waves of nausea for a week or so but this morning was very sudden.

Hope everyone’s well and you had better mornings than I did!

whitershadeofpale · 01/03/2021 14:16

I had my scan today. All is fine, measuring 6 weeks exactly and I was able to see the heartbeat. I just wish DP had been there.

They did find a dermal cyst on my right ovary, which they said may have caused the ache on one side. They’ve said it’s not his to worry about for now and they’ll just monitor its size when I go for my 12week scan.

Ola85 · 01/03/2021 14:33

@whitershadeofpale that's lovely that you saw the heartbeat 💗 glad for you!

Ola85 · 01/03/2021 14:35

@wirralsquirrel21 how many weeks are you?
Sorry you're not feeling great! I can tell my nausea is getting a tiny bit worse every day. Hope it won't get too bad as I go to work everyday and would like to way all the way through the pregnancy

whitershadeofpale · 01/03/2021 14:37

It was @Ola85. The minute she said she could see the baby and a heartbeat I burst into tears! I was just so relieved.

Drumstick1223 · 01/03/2021 15:06

@whitershadeofpale that's wonderful! Congratulations, it is so emotional when you see the wee scan picture and the heartbeat 💕

Drumstick1223 · 01/03/2021 15:10

My scan is about 5.30 this evening and today is dragging in.

I was never actually sick in last pregnancy (I was very lucky I know), but already feel more nauseous than I ever did. I'm nauseous from breakfast onwards. Haven't actually been sick though. Could be my age I guess, I'm 35 and not as fit as last time round and also more tired so that could make me feel worse.

I hardly ever eat tinned food, but I had Heinz soup for lunch today and omg I can't get rid of the taste, I can feel it in my throat right down to my stomach and the thought of it is making me worse and much more nauseous. Off to brush my teeth again 🤣

OnceUponAThread · 01/03/2021 15:25

Mine is around the same time as yours @Drumstick1223.

I've had no nausea so far but today my stomach is churning with nerves at the incoming scan. I'm so worried something will be wrong. Didn't get a wink of sleep last night.

I just want to get it over with now. Feel like I'm back at school and heading into an exam. Argh.
