Sorry if I spread my flapping ways to everyone else! We will all be 41 weeks pregnant wondering what we were worrying about! The baby bag will be my changing bag for hospital but struggling to decide on that at present! I loved the Storksak Alyssa.. not due out until June and my husband spat his tea out at the price. Thinking a Giggil? Anyone got one? Will add maternity pads and mini shower bits to this weeks shopping list!

AlRRRR · 04/03/2021 18:06

You’ll all laugh but I used my daytime walking backpack as my baby bag 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 I packed it the day before I went into labour and neither me or husband took chargers and our family were so on edge as we had to rely on payphone to update 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂

TerryRose · 04/03/2021 21:37

I need to get weighed actually, they took my weight at my 17 week appointment but that was it and I don't own weighing scales , I'm actually afraid I have lost or haven't gained as food aversions really affecting me , I eat three meals a day and have some snacks but feel like
I'm eating less than I was when wasn't pregnant so need to keep an eye on that 🙈

DollyParton2 · 04/03/2021 21:58

Im probably eating less than pre pregnancy too but have realised how much I normally walk without even thinking about it from A-B - in pregnancy Covid times to now. I think it’s definitely the lack of general activity- as well as/ aside from exercise that has seen my weight creep up. I’m still running twice a week. But I think it’s the frequent lack of movement outside house that’s seen my weight creep up

swiftt · 04/03/2021 22:16

I absolutely am dreading getting weighed again. I was about 95kg at my booking, and last time I weighed myself I was about 102kg already. I’m struggling to even get out for walks at the moment because I’m getting such bad pelvic pain during and afterwards. Trying to eat sensibly but I feel so ravenous when it comes to dinner time! Blush

Hello. Smile just found this thread I'm having a section 24th June - I want the next 3 months to flyyyy!

Xx

DollyParton2 · 04/03/2021 22:25

Hi Melissa! swiftt I’m with you- those pains only started for me in pelvis/ and lower back on a walk this week. I have pretty high pain threshold but was so bad I really struggled walking home / took my breath away!
All I can say is try if you can to go gentle but push on with walking, it makes such a difference the days I go both for my wellbeing mentally but physically too- and means you don’t beat yourself up at end of day for sitting around all day. Keeping active towards end now can really help with labour too, but I’m with you- that pain can make it very tough x

Nesski · 05/03/2021 09:01

@swiftt with you on the starving part, between 4-6pm I'm literally an animal on a feeding frenzy, so I try to just chow fruit before I get to that point, end up having a crumpet and then I'm stuffed instead, maybe I'm just bored Confused or hormones are messing with me!

PinkPlantCase · 05/03/2021 10:45

I’ve put on just under 6kg and that puts me right on the bottom line for recommended weight gain at 26 weeks. But my BMI was only 20 before so I’m just glad I’ve gained some weight. I’m up to 67kg.

I was only weighed at booking appointment, I don’t think they’ll weigh me again tbh. It bothered me earlier on because I hadn’t gained much but baby is healthy so I’ve stopped bothering about it.

Baby is also narrower than average around the middle Grin

MelissaAnn92 · 05/03/2021 11:46

I've put on 7kg too. Like you say trying not to think too much into it as long as midwifes happy and baby is too Smile I'm counting down the weeks until I go on maternity - when are all of you going off? Daffodil

DollyParton2 · 05/03/2021 13:06

As I’m still WFH I’m only going off a week before. Want to keep earning as long as possible.

swiftt · 05/03/2021 13:09

I think I’m going to ring my midwife this afternoon. Baby has barely moved today. I’m sure it’s fine but even lying on my side after a glass of coke isn’t getting her wriggling, and that’s usually my go to move for when she’s feeling lazy!

@swiftt hope all is ok! glad you're calling in. hopefully she's just having a sleepy morning and will pick up this afternoon!

sundowners · 05/03/2021 13:34

Hope all ok swiftt- try cold water with ice-cubes/orange juice too

AlRRRR · 05/03/2021 13:37

@swiftt this happens to me most days too, I’m 24 just turned this Thursdays and only feel evening and when i’m still :) Hope all goes well!

AlRRRR · 05/03/2021 13:38

I’m Due June 24th, only work 1 day, a 24 shift, so I’ve put my last working day as the 8th, so after that day I’m off :) We always work in 2’s in a private home, so it’s very chilled and can lay on sofa from 8 pm ish, so all should be well!

PinkPlantCase · 05/03/2021 14:50

I’ve got 11 weeks left of work Grin for the last 4 weeks I’m using leave to drop it down to 4 days per week.

We’re in the process of gradually handing over the projects I lead. Hopefully they’ll all be handed over by the end of April. I’ve made it very clear that if baby comes early I won’t be done hand overs or briefings with a new born 😂

Snally82 · 05/03/2021 14:54

@swiftt my little girl does this about once a week atm. And doesn’t respond to coke or cold drink or anything... very stubborn!!

swiftt · 05/03/2021 15:00

Thanks ladies! I’m just back from getting checked over. All was absolutely fine. I think she’s just a wee madam. Blush but I feel heaps better now and the midwife reassured me that I wasn’t wasting their time, and even if it happened again tomorrow I should phone them again.

that is great to hear @swiftt, well done for going in!

DollyParton2 · 05/03/2021 20:14

Absolutely swiftt- always worth going in. Glad all ok!

Edelweiss2020 · 05/03/2021 20:59

Thats good news @swiftt and good that they were so reassuring too :)

My little one seems to be the opposite, the past few days he's been so wriggly. His new thing seems to be kicking against pressure, so if I'm lay on my side he will kick at the side touching the bed, if my husband or I touch my bump he will kick at us, and as I found this morning (and had to take it off for a bit!) he is not a fan of my back support either which straps over my bump 🤣🤦‍♀️

BlondePotter · 05/03/2021 21:49

Weight wise I'm still lighter than pre-pregnancy, never been sick but just awaiting 28 weeks appt to be measured again. My BMI was 31 to start though.

As for mat leave, I'm due 7th June so will take a weeks holiday before and just go off from 7th. I just WFH anyway so don't see the point in finishing earlier

Sitchervice · 06/03/2021 08:02

I've solidified my mat leave with work. I leave on the 24th (Low papp-a at risk of early birth exct)

Sitchervice · 06/03/2021 08:03

That's 24th of May btw
