@TerryRose hope you're ok 💛 it does feel scarier when you're also trying to protect bump!

And I'm with you on the fluffy belly haha, fluff blond hairs all down the middle ☺️

AlRRRR · 22/02/2021 18:54

@TerryRose Oh gosh, that must have been frightening! Your body must have made you land on your hands and knee’s to save landing on your tummy, and the head in the dog bed, thank god you have a dog!!!

Sitchervice · 22/02/2021 19:22

@TerryRose oh gosh how scary about your fall!! So glad you landed on your hands and knees!!

Nesski · 22/02/2021 20:03

@TerryRose in my defence I saw everyone's comments and that saw you're alright so I went back to read what happened, read the 'head in dog bed' bit and it made me chuckle at the image, I'm glad you and baby are ok xxx

I read somewhere that pregnancy women are as likely to fall over as a 70 year old!

Edelweiss2020 · 22/02/2021 20:10

Glad you're okay TerryRose!
I'm crazily accident prone and pretty proud that I've not actually fallen over this pregnancy yet. Trying to be more careful but balance is now getting to be a problem with the bump haha.

Bump just made me laugh, he was having his usual evening kick and wriggle and it's quite noticeable now. My husband poked my tummy and he kept kicking back. So they just had a kick/poke off haha! Very cute but so weird too!

TerryRose · 22/02/2021 20:11

@BlondePotter @AlRRRR @Sitchervice @Nesski thanks for the comments , just a shock alright as it just happened out of nowhere and all the guilt that goes with it.

I said to my OH it would have been funny to look back on if we had a camera in the kitchen , like of all things to land in and got my new maternity jumper all dusty as doggy had just been in from a mucky walk typical
🤣🤣

Hope you all have had a good day, anyone have any scans lined up soon ? We are going for a private 3D one in about a weeks time as OH hasn't seen the baby since the 7 week scan

AlRRRR · 22/02/2021 20:12

@TerryRose Didn’t your husband get to go to the 12 and 20 wks scans??

TerryRose · 22/02/2021 20:13

@Edelweiss2020 thank you, I think
I was just distracted thinking about lots of things like what I will eat next so I'll just learn to slow down and try and do one thing at a time , I know so many people who have fallen so it's definitely common but thankfully we are made of sturdy stuff .

That poke off sounds so adorable haha it never gets old feeling those kicks 😍

Sitchervice · 23/02/2021 08:18

@TerryRose im going to be having regular growth scans and monitoring :) more baby pics. Though my son loves to pull alien face on us during the scans 😂

Nesski · 23/02/2021 10:39

@TerryRose lololol distracted by what you'll eat next... Mama on a mission Grin

@Edelweiss2020 same here regarding clumsiness, my partner has my arm in a vice when we go for walks. When we had that cold snap and he saw the ice after walking down our path he turned us round to go home haha fresh air for 10 seconds!

Waitingforbabypage · 23/02/2021 14:35

@TerryRose blimey! Glad you're ok!!

@Edelweiss2020 aww so cute!
Our little one like warmth so if one of the cats sits on me, baby will tuck herself under/behind the cat in the warm spot, or when my OH puts his nice warm hands on bump, she snuggles under his hand. It's very cute.

BlondePotter · 23/02/2021 18:09

I had my 25 week appt today and it was with the GP (They are sharing the care with midwife)
She measured my stomach and it's lower than the chart but I've since discovered that most midwife won't measure you until 28 weeks because it's not accurate, so I'll not worry.
She also seemed very surprised that I'm lighter than pre-pregnancy by 3kg so told me to count calories for a few days to make sure I'm eating enough!

Waitingforbabypage · 23/02/2021 18:50

All sounds really positive @BlondePotter

I'm in a daft amount of pain- my back/top of bum, my pelvis feels like it's falling apart, my hips and my thighs are hurting and baby feels like she's sat super low and heavy to the point of my maternity trousers being uncomfortable 😱🤷🏼‍♀️
I've had a bath which helped while I was in it but hurts again now- I can't sit without being in pain so I've had to abandon my kids and partner to come up and lay down with all the pillows.

BlondePotter · 23/02/2021 21:02

@Waitingforbabypage oo no, definitely have an early night and see if it's any better in the morning x

Tatty1987 · 24/02/2021 10:05

@BlondePotter I was getting a bit anxious about my weight, only put on 2lbs since booking in appointment (22+4 atm) yet all baby measurements at the 20 scan were within average the sonographer said so I’ve tried not to worry too much. I haven’t changed my diet in pregnancy.

Sitchervice · 24/02/2021 11:45

@Tatty1987 I wouldn't worry about your weight until the midwives say its an issue. We are all probably putting on some weight (I know I have) and besides we need that energy for baby growning and eventually labour.

Nesski · 24/02/2021 11:59

@Tatty1987 I've put on 8kg since pregnancy and haven't changed my diet aside from having breakfast (couple of crumpets with butter and ham). I must literally be latching onto anything and everything I consume

AlRRRR · 24/02/2021 12:32

@Tatty1987 Best thing would be to ask your midwife maybe to double check and for reassurance, I’m 23 weeks and haven’t weighed myself since they did it at 12 weeks scan but with my first I didn’t gain any weight, just the baby’s actual weight and when she was born, I was like 6kg lighter 🤣🤣🤣. Everything was well

Thanks! Yeah I was going to mention at my next midwife appointment in two weeks. I just happened to weigh myself at the weekend and after wished I hadn’t, I just expected a bit more weight gain.

AlRRRR · 24/02/2021 16:42

@Tatty1987 Aw bless ya, I weighed myself for you and I’ve gained about 1 or 2kg, it can vary so much. Midwives start measuring you from 26 weeks (mine said) so I’m sure she’ll let you know if any concerns :)

AlRRRR · 24/02/2021 16:44

To anyone who answered my questions about stuffiness, I went to dr as had sinusitis last April (I think due to Covid) and it came back in August. Then now some issues but not really sinus issues, anyway dr sent me to Hospital ENT and they put a camera up my nose 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Said chronis sinusitis and nasal wash outs are amazing apparently, and best thing to do for mucus issues, cnt CT scan them until after baby born if still having issues. Just a note to say saline solutions do really help if anyone is suffering !

Lovethatjourneyforme · 24/02/2021 16:49

Is anyone paying close attention to baby's movement yet? I've been feeling movement for weeks and can't help but start to get worried if it's less pronounced or they're quieter sometimes. I'm 25 weeks, so I know it's still fairly early for them to develop a real pattern. Just after reassurance that I'm not the only one and your babies aren't all like clockwork really 😂

northerngal20 · 24/02/2021 17:40

@Lovethatjourneyforme i'm exactly the same! a bit behind you at 23 weeks but my baby's started to get a tiiiny bit more regular in his movements now (first thing, after meals and late at night he kicks loads!) but it definitely varies from day to day in terms of how strong the kicks feel and when they happen, so i get really worried if i don't feel him when i would usually expect to! (even though he's still so little i shouldn't be expecting a proper routine yet, i'm just a little bit addicted to feeling his kicks haha)

when i start to worry/if i haven't felt him for a few hours i often switch position and try to hold onto my bump for a bit (luckily i work from home or i'd probably get some strange looks), and he normally starts kicking away within around 15 minutes or so. but yes just to say i get worried too and that he's no where near like clockwork yet!

PinkPlantCase · 24/02/2021 20:04

@Lovethatjourneyforme I’m 25 weeks too, though baby for me is quite regular at times I find it depends so much on how active I’m being and what I’m doing.

Eg. Rarely feel movements whilst walking and if I spend a day cooking I also feel them much less than when I’m sat at my desk or flopped on the sofa.

I read somewhere that walking can rock baby to sleep meaning they move less, which is really quite cute Grin

BlondePotter · 24/02/2021 20:19

My midwife said don't bother trying to spot a pattern until 28 weeks, but after that then contact triage if movement is reduced from what's normal for you ☺️
I'm 25 weeks as well and have regular movements but not a specific pattern. More movement whenever I'm in bed basically haha
