I am starting this thread a bit early. I tested yesterday at 9dpo and got a faint positive, which was much darker today. My due date would be the 29 September, but this is my second child and my first was super late, so am assuming this will really be an October baby.

Feeling mixed emotions again this morning. Did another test this morning and at 12dpo and the line is stronger. Just can't believe it. It's all surreal!

Sorry 13dpo!
ttcSam · 25/01/2021 10:04

Congratulations to everybody!
I did another couple of tests this morning. The normal test was darker than the early predictor test. The EP didn’t really have a line by the end of the time window but the normal test did. Is that strange?

Due: 1/10/20 - I think? Unsure due to irregular periods

@BeginnerMummyxx
I'm feeling mixed emotions too! I've spent the last 4 months desperate to get pregnant and now I'm petrified as it's early on in the pregnancy. Haven't had many symptoms either so don't know if that's normal at 4-5 weeks! Keep doing tests to check I still am pregnant, which I really need to stop!

@BrightonR
I'm a teacher in a school too and count as vulnerable due to my asthma. I'm just keeping my distance as much as possible from adults at the moment.

LauEli · 25/01/2021 10:20

@ttcSam pretty sure all manufacturers sensitivity to hcg is different, I tend to just stick with clear blue for my own peace of mind

@BeginnerMummyxx mixed emotions here too, told my mum this morning and she didn't seem as excited as id hoped she would or like last time, I know it's early days.

how's everyone else feeling today?

CaptainSpirit · 25/01/2021 10:32

Oh no @LauEli, what did your mum say? Sorry she didn't react as you'd hoped. Flowers

My one year old baby had a bad night last night so I'm very tired today. 😴 Also ran out've pregnancy tests so haven't tested again (though at this point I think it's just an obsession rather than a necessity!)

Sorry you mums reaction wasn't as you would have hoped. That must be hard :(. Maybe she was surprised/shocked?

I just I don't know how I'm not going to be able to tell my mum until we do our scan (we are hoping to do a private one at 7 weeks). As much as I love sharing this with my husband, it would be nice to have some support from someone who has been through it before.

LucyrGilbert · 25/01/2021 11:14

Thank you @LauEli xx

CaptainSpirit · 25/01/2021 12:20

I'd be up for that @LucyrGilbert! I'm in a 'Due in Jan 2020' group from my youngest daughter and it's lovely, we chat every day.

I'll happily join one if you make it, I've decided to throw everything into this pregnancy rather than being frightened of things going wrong (which is hard at times!)

RachelBlue · 25/01/2021 12:23

I'm up for Facebook too!

LucyrGilbert · 25/01/2021 12:28

CaptainSpirit · 25/01/2021 12:30

Leah2501 · 25/01/2021 13:08

I’ll add you and join! I was in previous Facebook group, very helpful. I’m sure we’ll have more joining as the month goes on!

LauEli · 25/01/2021 13:13

I've added you @LucyrGilbert 😊

PandemicBabyPlz · 25/01/2021 13:33

Hi all, can I join in? Little bit of an intro:

Age 32
First baby (first pregnancy ended with miscarriage (Oct 2020)
EDD 7/10

Have only just got the faint positive but I found these groups so helpful during my first pregnancy, the support really helps especially going through this all after MC. I’ve only got experience of the first 8 weeks then it’s all going to be unknown 😳

So tentative hello to everyone!

Leah2501 · 25/01/2021 13:52

Hello @PandemicBabyPlz wishing you lots of luck! There are lots of others in the group who have had multiple pregnancies so you’ll get lots of good advice and insight I’m sure.

ttcSam · 25/01/2021 14:04

Hey @LucyrGilbert have added you too. Fabulous idea !

jaimejelly · 25/01/2021 14:06

@LucyrGilbert

I've just added you my name is Lauren Tomlinson xx
