October 2021 Babies

I am starting this thread a bit early. I tested yesterday at 9dpo and got a faint positive, which was much darker today. My due date would be the 29 September, but this is my second child and my first was super late, so am assuming this will really be an October baby.

hope you're well. Sorry come to vent, kind of,

Our wedding was postponed from last year and yet again it's cancelled, thanks covid. I am gutted and know how it affected me badly last year but his time, I'm kind of relieved that I won't be 5 months pregnant what with my dress and all that, but I can't say that to anyone as we've decided to wait for our early scan before I tell people. Which is 2 more weeks eek.

The nausea has gone away, but is this normal? I mean I prefer not to have it of course haha

Well its still early days, im 6 weeks cramping and spotting, been at the docs for a blood test to check hormone levels. Im glad you wont be 5 months pregnant and getting married with your dress and all that... grand scheme of things 🤬

@MgW1 have you got your results? Hope all is OK.

Yeah only problem is now I'll be like 9months pregnant as a bridesmaid to my sister 😅

@Stardust89 I’m going to be a week away from my due date as bridesmaid for my best friend 🤦‍♀️ And 17 weeks as bridesmaid for my other best friend 😂😂

@SussexTeacher me too! I've forgotten how tired and rubbish you feel in the early weeks.

@PumpkinEverything what do you think you'll do? It's tough because I want to be fine and still be a bridesmaid and still fit the dress, but I worry about waddling down the aisle with a non maternity dress and it being short at the front 😅

Anybody got any app recommendations? I always see people with one that compares baby's size to fruit week by week but obviously don't want to ask what it was 😂

I'm due October 16th with what would be our rainbow baby if they make it! I'm really nervous but also excited...

@Stardust89 and @PumpkinEverything I'm also going to be heavily pregnant as a bridesmaid for one of my best friends! In fact I'll be 8 months and pretty huge by then! I'm quite scared of telling my friend 🙈 not sure how she will react. Are you going to wait the 12 weeks to tell your brides?

@LunaDreams they both know now thankfully 😂 I would need their support if anything went wrong so I wanted them to know. Neither of them have mentioned my bridesmaids dress yet tho 🙈

Thank you. All was well... heartbeat and everything looking good 🙏 I hadn't ever been for a private / early scan with my DS.

But I was keen to find out the dating as I had my dates mixed up and wanted to know if I was further along than I thought.

It was a very nice experience! Short but I left feeling really uplifted.

5+1 today… due date calculator is saying 28th October. I’m mostly trying to chill out but also getting anxiety pangs every now and again, just hoping everything goes well!

I wonder how long it normally takes for the midwife to call? I self referred online on 17th and received a letter from the midwife team on 19th but I haven’t had the phone call to arrange the first appointment yet. After I’ve spoken to the midwife I think I’ll be booking an early scan for 2 weeks time.

I’ve been sooo good at eating healthily but hubby has ordered us a takeaway tonight, I can hear it coming up the path

I didn’t even see your reply @Stardust89 🙈 sorry! I’ve honestly no idea what to do! I really want to be in both of the weddings, and they were both rescheduled from last year. Just one of those things where I couldn’t have really held off another year for it. I think I could have been in with a shot of fitting in my dress for the 17 weeks one, but I know what weight I was the day I tried that dress on, and I’m almost a stone heavier and would struggle to fit in it now 🙈 I had planned on being on a diet to fit into it and now it’s the opposite! I’ve been panicking and checking eBay for it but it was from Debenhams two years ago so I’ve no chance! Think that adds to the problem as I can’t really get alterations done as it’s a high street dress.
The October wedding... can’t even think about it 🙃 like literally my due date will be 10 days after! What if I’m early 🙈

Newbie here too @cony89. Been TTC for 2+ year and was on the waiting list for IVF and then suddenly, first ever BFP about 2 weeks ago!!! I'm in shock as never anticipated we'd fall naturally.
I am due between 18th October going off likely date of conception as we were tracking ovulation and 23rd October going off the early scan I had last night. I thought I was about 6+3 but measured at 5+5. Sonograph did say I was incredibly difficult to scan as I have a tilted womb and she said to fully expect to have difficulties locating baby up until 12 weeks. However we did see the tiniest blob and briefly catch the tiniest flicker of a heartbeat. Fingers crossed all continues to be well 🤞🏼

I’d like to join if that’s okay! 5+4 today, due 28th October if all goes to plan 🙏 💛. I’ve had lots of symptoms from around 10dpo when I found out. Lots of weird sort of crampy feelings like someone is doing the washing up in my uterus lol, sore boobs and constantly weeing. I usually feel ovulation so I think I’m very sensitive to feeling different changes.
Definitely feeling a bit anxious that everything will go okay. Having an early scan at 8 weeks which is both terrifying and exciting haha. Hope everyone else is doing okay 👍

Morning ladies. 7 weeks and 1 day today. I have an early scan at 12:30 just to confirm there is a baby there ( I'm so anxious) .

@PumpkinEverything Not sure about cycle lengths being the reason I was 3 weeks further on than I thought, guess the fact I had what I thought was a full on period back in Jan just threw me off!!

Don’t envy you guys with the wedding predicaments. We were supposed to get married last year but it was cancelled twice then our venue closed down(!) hence we decided to just stick to the plan and look to start our family and we’ll just plan the wedding in again when the world goes back to normal!! Don’t know how I’d feel if it was booked in now still for while I was pregnant 🙈
