I am starting this thread a bit early. I tested yesterday at 9dpo and got a faint positive, which was much darker today. My due date would be the 29 September, but this is my second child and my first was super late, so am assuming this will really be an October baby.

Hey can I join you all I'm 4+2 got BFP on Tuesday. Due date approx 30th sept according to only calculators but this is my first so assuming I might be late. We were kinda trying, came off the pill in sept so roughly cycle 4 and tbh I didn't think it would be this quick and now I feel naive for thinking that and I'm freaking out/panicking but then feeling guilting for doing so 😩

itonlytakes5 · 24/01/2021 06:19

@strangerontheinternet I feel similar to you even though this is my second. I think the panic and worry is totally normal, just give yourself time to get used to the idea. We are all here to support each other :)

CharlieBH · 24/01/2021 08:16

Hello!

Thought I'd join the post. Found out I'm pregnant with my first. Not entirely sure of dates because Ive had irregular periods since coming off the pill. I think I'm around 4 weeks as a clear blue test said 2-3 weeks.
Very nervous as it's early days and trying not to think about it too much but don't know what to expect! Keep doing tests to check I actually am pregnant!
Haven't had any symptoms except really bloated at the moment. Got slight stomach aches but keep telling myself that's nothing to worry about x

RachelBlue · 24/01/2021 09:16

@TTCBaby1 good news after your loss in November. Xx

I had some nausea and fatigue in November, 'felt' pregnant, and my period was late by a few days. Then it arrived and was pretty weird and clotty, so I'd been wondering if I'd experienced a very early loss then. I was (uncharacteristically) patient and didn't test, so I'll never really know.

I'm actually less nauseous this time, but I've had two very strong positive tests, including the day I was due on my period. I've been sleeping loads too, I'm constantly exhausted!

strangerontheinternet · 24/01/2021 09:22

@itonlytakes5 yeah I'm hoping it's normal and just a bit of panic cause it's a huge change and life event but yeah I really thought I'd just be happy/excited but i can't stop thinking about all the reasons it's the wrong time 😩

RachelBlue · 24/01/2021 09:40

@strangerontheinternet I was like that with my first, I'd been told to expect to have problems conceiving, then I was pregnant within a couple of months. I also felt guilty because it emerged that someone close to us had been struggling. I felt a bit trapped, we'd only just got married, and thought we'd have ages as just 'us'. But things have turned out well really, and the couple who were struggling had a baby 4 months after us, and their second (surprise) not too long after that! Smile

RachelBlue · 24/01/2021 09:41

PS. Someone told me years ago that if you wait for the 'right time', you'll wait forever!

LauEli · 24/01/2021 10:18

@myguardianangel I was anxious at the end of my first pregnancy because he was a little bugger and stopped moving a few times.
I have already started with the what ifs and doubt, my mind is terrible as I've got older (31) everything worries me :(

Leah2501 · 24/01/2021 11:13

Is anyone else having spotting? I’ve had spotting since 8dpo. It was red back then, then nothing. Now since 12dpo I’ve had brown spotting in the morning.

CaptainSpirit · 24/01/2021 11:25

@Leah2501 I had spotting for about four days from 7dpo - pink, red and then brown. Haven't had anything in a few days though, I think it could just be implantation bleeding?

itonlytakes5 · 24/01/2021 11:26

@Leah2501 I've had nothing, keep feeling like my period is coming, v sore boobs

jaimejelly · 24/01/2021 11:26

@Leah2501 it sounds like implantation spotting to me

What vitamins are everyone taking?

Pebbleinthesand · 24/01/2021 12:19

@myguardianangel I'm exactly the same with being more anxious this time. I don't know if it's the Covid situation or that I'm just more aware of what can go wrong and know more people who've had things go wrong.

Anyone else lose their appetite when pregnant? I was ravenously hungry then couldn't make it through my breakfast this morning . I was the same for the whole first trimester with DD.

I'm trying to keep with exercise this time too. About to head out on a chilly 10km this aft. I may have to tell my BFF and running buddy though, think I'll end up screaming it at her as soon as I see her😂.

LissLady · 24/01/2021 14:30

My test yesterday was so faint I did another today and its even fainter... would have been due AF around Thursday so should be getting good positives by now surely? No bleeding but starting to worry its not going to stick. This is first pregnancy since my missed miscarriage in Aug although that didn't end until 11 weeks and had to be medically induced we new about 6 weeks although we had a heart beat it wasn't right and wouldn't survive. Terrified of losing another one even this early on.

CaptainSpirit · 24/01/2021 14:51

@LissLady Hope everything is alright, can totally see why you'd be worried. ❤️ Would it be worth trying a different brand of pregnancy test? I used these three cheapie sticks the last three days that are giving me very faint positives, I used this Answer test the day before my missed period though and it's given me a blazing positive. Which ones are you using? Could it be that they're not very sensitive? Flowers

Hello! I'm 4+2 today, done a few online calculators, some have me due 1st October, some 30th September so I'm hovering across both threads Grin

LissLady · 24/01/2021 15:33

I've got some cheapies and clear blue early one. The cheapies are nearly non existent I nearly missed it yesterday but could see something so did the clear blue which was a faint positive, I got some more today and was going to wait a few days and test again to make sure getting darker but it was fainter. I should be 4+3 i think so not an early early tester. My last pregnancy i got a bfp at 10dpo

strangerontheinternet · 24/01/2021 15:41

Thanks @RachelBlue yeah I think that's it as well I kinda thought me and DP would have like another holiday, another Xmas just us kinda thing and with covid as well like I thought If we got pregnant like spring/summer then we'd be out of covid by the time baby was here and now I just don't think there's any hope 😔

LauEli · 24/01/2021 15:43

@LissLady my clear blue early was only fairly light when I tested and checked by the three minutes, but I looked at it again after work and it was as bright as it could be. It does say on the guidance that a blue line in the pregnancy window is pregnant regardless of how coloured the line is

SecondTimeTry · 24/01/2021 18:16

Very excited to see so many new people join the thread! Congratulations to everyone. And so many 2nd, 3rd and 4th pregnancies Shock

I haven't had any symptoms at all this weekend. My test lines are getting darker. But I do remember my first pregnancy thinking that I didn't feel pregnant for a bit at first - just can't remember how long that was.

Although I say I don't feel pregnant I definitely have grown! My trousers are painfully tight! Have already had to get a new bra.

OP posts:
CaptainSpirit · 24/01/2021 18:27

I definitely feel pregnant tonight. I'm so tired! 😴 Barely touched my food at dinner as well, just really don't fancy eating and feel just a teeny bit sick.

@SecondTimeTry Oh gosh with the new bra! Have you got any comfier trousers? 😬

jaimejelly · 24/01/2021 18:38

Lockdown has me permanently in stretchy waistband trousers so I'll be good for a while 🤣

nellly · 24/01/2021 19:14

My symptoms come and go, when I feel crap I'm moaning and when I feel good I'm worried somethings wrong Grin it really is a roller coaster.

I'm freaking out a bit as well, this is our first and we barely even started trying and fell pregnant ! I know that we're so lucky but also what a shock, I thought it would take months and we would have more time just us. It's a lot to get my head around

BrightonR · 24/01/2021 19:25

I would like to tentatively join. I had a very faint BFP on an amazon cheapy this morning. My period was due today. But then I tried testing again and there was nothing and the third was very faint again. This pregnancy would be my first and it is only 6 weeks we have been trying... So I don't want to jinx it.

Nice to see so many people on this thread have done this before. It all feels a bit scary!

BeginnerMummyxx · 24/01/2021 19:52

Hi ladies,

Glad I found this thread too! I too had a bfp 10dpo/11dpo (midnight). Its my first time and it was unexpected as we didn't think it would happen straight away and also only took the one time!

Very nervous as i'm not sure what to expect and hoping its all fine. Symptoms have been cramping, twinges, lower back pain, bloating and gas!
