I am starting this thread a bit early. I tested yesterday at 9dpo and got a faint positive, which was much darker today. My due date would be the 29 September, but this is my second child and my first was super late, so am assuming this will really be an October baby.

@jeiko

That sounds like a much better option. I have literally just fallen off the sofa laughing, said to my other half please put ginger tea on the shopping order, his reply do you mean just normal tea thats in an orange box 😂

Jeiko · 12/02/2021 20:56

@Hettycake 😂😂 that's brilliant!!

nellly · 12/02/2021 21:48

I'm getting a lot of sickness and have been using a ginger supplement from Holland and Barrett that's helping a lot, I asked midwife and she said it was fine

Hi All, I saw this group for Oct babies! May I join?
I am active in some other thread which was sep/oct 21.
My periods were due on Feb 1. I checked pregnancy digitally on feb 7. It said positive. Usually I had regular period but since nov they fluctuate so I wasn’t quite confident to check pregnancy before. My DD would be Oct 9 ish according to the pregnancy calculator. So far I have just sore boobs which were prominent before, but now not that much. I had weird taste on my mouth some days. Little cramps in belly.
I only told my partner yet because I don’t want to raise my family’s hopes just in case.
How every body doing so far with pregnancy symptoms?

Lockets84 · 14/02/2021 21:41

Hi,
May I join! I'd love to be added to FB group too ..

Age 36
Baby #1(2 chemicals and a MC)
TTC 4 years.

We were due to start IVF with my feb period..... and I got my bfp
5w and 2 d now. Got a scan at 7w from the fertility team to see if we are ok!

AlexLeah · 15/02/2021 08:24

Congrats everyone ❤

Got my BFP 6 days ago and worked out I'm due on the 21st October. Feeling quite anxious and trying to stop myself from POAS every day but fingers crossed things are progressing okay.

Symptoms wise my main thing is insomnia and also needing to wee so often!

Sugarskulllover · 15/02/2021 09:02

Morning all,

Can I join??

This will be baby number 2, DS will be 3 in August.

Felt rubbish over the weekend so thought I'd POAS this morning and there were 2 lines!
Due date calculator is saying 26th October.

I didn't have a great labour with my first which ended in an EMCS so would be hoping for a planned section this time.

Congratulations to you all so far Smile

JoannaRose · 16/02/2021 09:38

Hello lovely ladies congratulations on your BFPs!

I’d like to join, I joined another October thread but it seems to have died before I got there so would like to join here!

Got my BFP at 10 DPO on 14th Feb, EDD is 28th October! This will be baby #1 and feeling very surreal as was only 1st cycle TTC so we were prepared for it to take a lot longer so feeling really blessed but so nervous as first time ever been pregnant!

I would love some tips on how to cope with the early pregnancy anxiety/anxious about losing the baby? I’m finding it tough! Xxx

Colourblindcat · 16/02/2021 12:15

According to my app 24th October should be my date. Hopefully all goes well only found out this week and mega nervous!

XNicoleX · 16/02/2021 20:20

Hows everbody doing with the symptoms?
I had sore breasts since starting now i am feeling little nauseous. Nothing much so far manageable symptoms. I don’t want to tell anybody untill 3 months at work. Hopefully my symptoms will cooperate with me untill then. Oh btw i am 6+2 weeks.

Twenty21 · 16/02/2021 21:01

Hi all

Can I join too please. Got BFP on 1st Feb. According to online calculators, I am 6+ weeks. Went for early pregnancy scan today and was told I am 4-5 weeks pregnant. I keep stressing as I have no symptoms but hopefully it's all well.

Bea9 · 17/02/2021 02:18

Hiya,
First time mumma to be here (be gentle please haha!) Due mid-October 2021.
I got my first BFP on Valentine's and it was super clear. Done some more tests since and all BFP, 3+ weeks... I think I'm actually more like 6 weeks looking at my dates. Plus I am crazy tired, queasy and my boobs have gotten huge already.
I'm excited but also quite nervous rn.

PumpkinEverything · 17/02/2021 08:54

Welcome to all the newcomers!

As an FYI for those who haven’t seen the post, there are a few Facebook groups that have been made that are more active for chat. If anyone wants to join, send me a PM with the email linked to your Facebook account and I can invite you 😊

JN2021 · 17/02/2021 09:27

Hi @Hettycake
Sorry I missed your message! Had the scan yesterday, I thought I was 6+2 but she said I measured 5+5 but we saw a fast heartbeat so she said everything looked great!
Booked in at 8 weeks for a scan with NHS so not too long to wait. So pleased your scan went well!
I get morning sickness all day, just keep trying to eat a lot to keep it at bay! X

cravingmilkshake · 17/02/2021 11:44

Hi ladies,

I hit 5 weeks today (this will be my second).

I went out for a jog this morning and fell over! Really hurt my ankle ..... think I might have to give it up now to stay safe!

Hope you are all doing well?

Stay safe! X

cams88 · 17/02/2021 13:48

Hello, can I join please? Got a faint BFP on Valentine’s Day and a much clearer one today so feel much more confident to join! This will be my first, I’m 5 weeks today and think my due date is around the 23rd Oct!

Just wondering what vitamins people are taking? I’ve been taking the boots own folic acid and vit d whilst trying and not sure whether to carry on with these or get some pregnacare/ones with more vitamins in?

Thanks and congratulations everyone!

MrsTD88 · 17/02/2021 13:55

@cams88 congratulations! My midwife said folic acid and vit d are essential and pregnancy multivitamin is good if you are really struggling with nausea and not getting everything you need from your diet. I was taking Pregnacare conception and then moved on to Pregnacare Max Plus but they are not essential. I have a higher BMI so on 5mg of folic acid too which is prescribed by doctor. (Midwife said it is fine to be on the 5mg and multivitamin as combined the folic is below 1000). I will stop taking the 5mg at 12 weeks.

Hettycake · 18/02/2021 11:07

Hi ladies, congratulations on all the new BFP's ☺

@jn2021 so glad it went well and you saw a heartbeat and a little bit jel as my next one is at 12 weeks.

Thanks for all the fellow mums to be advice ladies, I did try the ginger and lemon tea that was recomended and it wasn't great. But i have found pink and white wafers brilliant, a little bit of bland waferness and then a sweet part to distract the sick feeling ☺

Also has anyone else had the covid vaccine? I'm due my second one next week having had my first one before i got my BFP and have read such mixed reviews about having it, swaying to def having it at the moment. Anyone else had both?

altlife · 18/02/2021 11:23

Hi all, just found this thread! I got a positive on Valentine's Day. I'm 4 + 4 (I think!) and due around 24 October Smile

imisscoffee · 18/02/2021 11:44

@Hettycake I'm 6+3 and having my Covid jab today. Did a lot of reading, and I decided that it's more dangerous for me to catch Covid as I would probably be very ill, I'm exposed at work and think the lesser risk is for me to have the vaccine.

Stardust89 · 18/02/2021 13:38

Hi everyone ☺

This is my first post here, hope you're all well
Congrats on your bfps!

We found out on 13th Feb and think we are due 22nd October. It's my first but my partners second.

We are due to get married in a couple of months so a bit concerned about my wedding dress, but with weddings not allowed at the moment I'm not stressing about it. We thought it would take a couple of months / 1 year to get pregnant, but we were lucky and got bfp in the first month.

The nausea is started with soft waves, but today they've been feeling much stronger like I might really be sick. Eurgh. Think I'll try some ginger biscuits.

How are you all coping?

jellybean13419 · 18/02/2021 16:00

Hi everyone,
Can I join please?
I'm 7 weeks 6 days and EDD is 1st October.
We had an early reassurance scan today and saw the little heartbeat. All is looking as it should, we feel much more relieved now!
So far have been very lucky and not experienced much sickness. 1st Midwife appointment is 25th Feb and dating scan is 18th March- feels ages away!
How is everyone else doing? X

Stardust89 · 19/02/2021 06:33

Morning

@jellybean13419 that's amazing! Can't wait to hear our beans heartbeat. I haven't been sick yet but the nausea is getting quite strong now, so don't think I'll be holding it down for much longer.

Our first midwife appointment is 24th March! When I'll be almost 10 weeks.

Was your partner able to go to the early scan? My partners not allowed to any appointment which is horrible. A, I don't want to do it alone and b, I feel like he should be there and I know for sure he will be devastated if he can't go to a scan. So considering booking a private scan at 8 weeks so he can have the experience.

jellybean13419 · 19/02/2021 10:24

Good morning @Stardust89, congrats on your BFP and little bean!
Good news the sickness hasn't got you yet. All though, saying that, it only started for me at 7 weeks. Have been lucky though that the being sick isn't a constant thing like some!
My booking appointment with the midwife is similar to yours, I'll be just over 9 weeks. I still find it so strange that they just take your word for it for so long.
I'm so sorry your partner can't come to the scans with you. That is so sad for both of you. Definitely have an early scan around 8 weeks because he will definitely be able to come with you. We booked it at Window to the Womb Southampton and it was honestly the best experience. Can't recommend it enough! X

ILoveBountys · 19/02/2021 11:37

Hi Everyone and huge congratulations to you all

I'm also due in October - on the 5th if all goes to plan. I was a little nervous to join up to the chats in case something happens (MC, etc) but I'm a worrier so decided to jump on in!

@PumpkinEverything I tried to message you to joint Facebook groups but it won't let me send; I've only just registered so perhaps I have to wait a while? Anyway I will try again tomorrow/ day after.

Hope everything is going well for you all... aside from a constant background nausea, wicked thrush, and my worrying head I am grand and looking forward to being part of the community here Grin
