@Asianchick6693 I'd be interested to hear what you think of it too. I have been looking at the babymoov on Amazon www.amazon.co.uk/Babymoov-Cosydream-Smokey-Baby-Sleep/dp/B0160OYPEQ/ref=asc_df_B0160OYPEQ/?hvlocphy=9045802&linkCode=df0&hvptwo&psc=1&psc=1&hvnetw=g&hvadid=225919034576&hvpone&hvlocint&th=1&hvpos&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl&hvqmt&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&hvtargid=pla-420700563839&hvrand=4065329073430057891 which looks identical but says its for up to 3 month olds, whereas the one you've posted says upto 18 months

Babyhope98 · 20/01/2021 08:58

Best wishes @NaomiB79 hope she’s better soon x

danielasummer · 20/01/2021 09:18

So sorry to hear that @NaomiB79 - when it rains it pours! 😔 hope they get to the bottom of it soon.

For those struggling to get baby to sleep, we've found this app which is amazing, we use 'pink noise'. It's called 'white noise deep sleep sounds' on the App Store. This in conjunction with a very tight swaddle (we use the tommee tippee grobag snuggle) and a little swaying and she's normally asleep within 10 mins (obviously after a feed and change) x

@NaomiB79 thinking of you and your little one, I can’t imagine how stressful that must be for you. Keep us all posted as you know more.

Is anyone combi feeding on here? Am happy to bf through the night as I can cope ok with sleep deprivation. However would like to spend more time interacting with my toddler during the day. Pumping takes time and is a bit of a faff. Thinking 2-3 bottles a week even.

Jwl45 · 20/01/2021 11:14

@Candoolili. I combi feed. Breast and formula. I breast feed at night - around 3/4am then 6/7 am. Breast say twice a day and then bottle for the rest of the time. We are about 3 or 4 bottles a day usually. It works really well for us and she is happy 🙂

Asianchick6693 · 20/01/2021 11:19

@kkr168 omg thank you so much for pointing that product out. Turns out I may have been scammed 🤦🏾‍♀️ they were using photos of babymoov but luckily I paid through PayPal. They're probably selling knock offs. I'm going to be able to get my money back but I want these people stopped from fooling Others! They've been clever at hiding it. Luckily I read the reviews of babymoov and realised the photos are similar to what I've seen. I've also reported my previous comment to remove it. I hope no one else buys it!!

kkr168 · 20/01/2021 12:43

@Asianchick6693 no problem, are you going to order the babymoov? I wish I'd got this instead of the £70 sleep pod that made no difference at all.

I've just got off the phone to the Dr, they have now prescribed milk for cows milk allergy.

I spoke to the health visitor this morning, she said with all his symptoms she was 100% certain he is allergic to cows milk protein. She wasnt happy that the dr fobbed his face rash & spots off as eczema, she said he would have had patches all over his body, not just his face & not over his entire face, it also wouldn't flare up with each bottle like his does. She said to demand to be prescribed special milk but luckily I didn't have to, I went through his symptoms again with the Dr, one I'd not spoken to before & she straight away said it sounds like milk allergy & prescribed milk. Hopefully we are finally on the road to a fully healthy happy baby.

lc86 · 20/01/2021 12:47

@kkr168 that's great news!!

Asianchick6693 · 20/01/2021 12:49

@kkr168 I'm not so sure anymore as my LO will be 3 months in only a month's time so I won't get many uses out of it.

Glad you got a diagnosis for your LO. My girl got told she has eczema yesterday as well. She has dry skin on all over her face. Particularly bad on her forehead and also her cradlecap just never went. I find it hard to tell if it is genuinely eczema or allergy to cows milk protein. The cream she has given has made her skin softer I think I just have to wait and see. She also prescribed oilatum for bath time as she says it feels like her body is dry too but she was wearing gloves and to me, my baby's skin is very soft. She doesn't have any rashes or dry skin on there so I don't know if I should disregard the bath emollient and just carry on as I was.

peachypetite · 20/01/2021 15:37

@Candoolili I’m combi too and it works well for us. Baby is mainly breastfed but husband has her until 2am so I can sleep and he will feed her either expressed milk or formula (we get the pre made for convenience). Is anyone else breastfeeding finding they are very very hungry? I’m eating way too much chocolate.

peachypetite · 20/01/2021 15:38

@kkr168 that’s great, hopefully you’ll see a big difference now.

Candoolili · 20/01/2021 16:04

@Jwl45 and @peachypetite thank you. It seems to be doable and convenient so I think I might start introducing next week. He took a bottle of expressed for OH last night and after a bit of spluttering took it fine. With last child I’d read lots of stuff about it affecting supply etc but I’ve since spoken to loads of mums who had no problems with combiing. Think I’ll be easier on myself this time round Smile

peachypetite · 20/01/2021 16:14

@Candoolili I haven’t found it an issue but it’s more likely if you leave it too long they will refuse a bottle! I have friends in this situation and it means they can never have a break from the baby.

EithneBlue · 20/01/2021 17:07

@peachypetite Always hungry but I'm craving fruit -- I'm having to make a conscious effort to eat enough carbs and protein as I've gone below pre-pregnancy weight and want to make sure I don't impact my milk supply!

Pinktruffle · 20/01/2021 17:25

@NaomiB79 I hope baby and you are doing ok and that she is well and home soon.

@Asianchick6693 and @Kkr168 I'll look in to tbe Babymoov but not aure there is much point if they only go up to 3 months as my baby is already 2 months and he is pretty long so not sure he will fit it. Are they similar to Sleepyheads?

My LO was awful last night, the worst night we've had with him. I was up till 4am with him at which point DH took over and was sat up with him until the morning. We are both exhausted today. My LO was so unsettled last night, he just kept crying and would only sleep whilst held. Even then he kept waking up, I think the vaccines upset his stomach as he was very windy and would wake up and cry every time he needed to break wind which was very frequently. I'm praying he will be better tonight as I was about ready to throw in the towel last night.

EithneBlue · 20/01/2021 17:59

@NaomiB79 - Oh that sounds rough :-( Hopefully they figure out the problem and you guys are able to go home soon

Jwl45 · 20/01/2021 18:56

@Candoolili I'm sure you'll have no problems. My little one took to it straight away. I'm also only feeding from one side as had such a cracked nipple on the other side.... I'm all healed now but not going back. I feel a bit lopsided at times lol but you can't tell really 😂😂

Jellycat2020 · 20/01/2021 20:17

@Pinktruffle my LO has been awful after her jabs yesterday now 😢 she was really unsettled most of yesterday, slept half the amount she normally does overnight, woke up grumpy and has been crying nearly all day. She's been fussy with feeds and sometimes completely inconsolable. I think she's also been windier than normal and has already had one very explosive watery poo. She hasn't had a fever but has felt hot today. Hope it passes soon! I hate it when she's so unhappy as its just not her 😣

peachypetite · 20/01/2021 20:45

My baby had her jabs this afternoon and has no appetite. Took over an hour to have 4oz from a bottle and it seemed a great effort for her to breastfeed just now. Then she was sick.

NaomiB79 · 20/01/2021 23:12

Thanks for all your well wishes. We are home now all her tests were clear but the consultant thinks she has a virus and she was dehydrated and her heart rate was a bit fast last night both of which were better today because she was feeding better and much calmer.

Stressful this parenting lark isn't it! DP and LO have been warned, we're not going near a hospital for a very long time!

Dee96 · 20/01/2021 23:40

Hi again! Just had a quick look through the thread to update myself, it's heart warming seeing everyone keeping this going and hearing from familiar users. I completely fell off assuming this wouldn't be a thing after all the births, clearly I know nothing that's being a ftm for you 😂 Hope everyone and their little ones are doing well and safe x

peachypetite · 21/01/2021 04:50

@NaomiB79 glad you are all okay. And yes it is stressful. It’s dawning on me there’s so much worry associated with a child! My poor girl is not herself following the jabs, did an explosive poo, hope it doesn’t turn into diarrhoea.

peachypetite · 21/01/2021 04:51

@Dee96 how are you doing? This thread has been amazing, it’s very helpful to talk to other mums with babies at the same stage.

Anotherboy · 21/01/2021 08:00

We've been combi feeding since day 6. LO gets breast from 3am-8pm, then husband feeds ready made formula for 1-2 feeds. He has had a dummy from 2 weeks and we've never had a problem. We did the same with my first, he was ebf until 3 months then we did formula overnight/breast in day and milk supply was never a problem. Breasts and babies are clever!!

Anotherboy · 21/01/2021 08:02

Also we have first imms today (a week late) and I'm dreading the potential after effects on my usually calm and happy baby!
