Hi All,

Pregnant with baby number 1, due end of July 2021. Was hoping that we could get a thread going for those due around the same time (or sooner!) so that we can chat through our experiences and help others out. I am totally clueless so would love someone to chat to given we haven't announced yet (i am 7+3 today)!

I'd love to join as well please ladies!
I'm currently 8 + 1 and due 29th July.
Had an early private scan at 6+6 and saw our little peanuts heart flicking away which was incredible! I've been feeling horrendous for the last 3+ weeks, so the scan definitely has made the sickness seem more worth while.
Had anyone else been a complete emotional rollercoaster??
I literally cried for an hour at lunch because there was only cheese for lunch and I didn't want cheese 😂

Dogmom92 · 18/12/2020 17:01

@22ELF22 we are exact same date wise!
Luckily i havent been struggling with sickness - instead i have extreme hunger (i had a massive bowl of pasta for dinner yesterday and still felt so hungry like i hadn't eaten all day!)

How exciting @Dogmom92! This will be your first baby as well right? I've only been physically sick twice, but the nausea and reflux is awful. I kinda feel like I'd prefer to be actually sick so it felt a bit more fulfilling 😂

huffleclaw · 18/12/2020 17:48

Hi all!

I would love to join you too!
I am 8+6 with my first pregnancy.

It's an IVF pregnancy so I had a scan at 7 +5 weeks...it was transvaginal but I've had so many of those during treatment that it seems normal...and you don't need a full bladder!

Got to see our tiny little 1cm jelly bean and her heartbeat which was amazing!

I am feeling utterly crap and exhausted and have constant nausea! I have found that travel sickness bands have made a massive difference...definitely worth trying if you're feeling ropey!

I'm a Nursery teacher so the past couple of weeks have been manic and I've been napping when I get home. It's the Christmas holidays now so hopefully I can rest a bit more!

I'm also eating lots...but only little bits at a time.

I'm sure some of the children in school are going to go home and tell their parents I keep eating peanut butter with a spoon all day!!

MonaFlo · 18/12/2020 18:52

@Pearson26 congratulations!! Oh yes the nerves are real.. I'm having mine next Wednesday and I checked and will be an abdominal one. It's such a mixture of excitement and anxiety isn't it!! I've been surfing Mumsnet and dr Google so much in the past days looking for reassurance but it's difficult. Sometimes I even get more anxious after reading certain things..

I think we need to stay positive and think everything will be fine!

Im with you on super bloated 😂 I don't have many symptoms but bloated and constipation are on the list..

MonaFlo · 18/12/2020 18:59

@huffleclaw good to hear about your scan and that everything went well 😊 congratulations!

Hopefully you get to relax and rest a lot more now with the holidays.

I eat a lot too and not in small portions 😂 I've been skinny all my life barely eating and now i just can't stop!!
I've got no nausea or sickness so it's so easy to just stuff myself ..

elldog6 · 19/12/2020 08:26

9+3 today, EDD 21 July and also my first. Is anyone else absolutely terrified something is going to go wrong? I had a private scan at 7w which was fine but now have to wait until 8th Jan for my dating scan. My nausea is easing ever so slightly (it's still there but not as bad as it was at 7/8 weeks) and I feel like my constant worrying is going to ruin my and my husband's Christmas. How is everyone else coping with anxiety?

Pearson26 · 20/12/2020 14:08

12w scan tomorrow and absolutely bricking it 😬 keeping everything very tightly crossed!!!

SamoyedFan123 · 20/12/2020 14:33

Hi Ladies, mind if I join you?
I'm 11+1 today and had a scan at just over 10 weeks where everything looked perfect, but a couple of days later I came down with the corona virus and am now really poorly and have lost all my pregnancy symptoms so I'm very stressed out. My '12 week' Scan isn't until January 4th when I'll be 13.5 weeks and that seems like a long way off at the moment!

MSG92 · 20/12/2020 16:18

Hi all, hoping to join. I'm 10 wks today, had a scan at 7+5 (abdominal--I asked for that) and saw the heartbeat so that was reassuring, as I had a mc in July so couldn't relax.

I am still super anxious though, I keep thinking I'm going to go to the 12wk scan on 5th Jan and baby won't be there...even though I've seen a heartbeat this time, last time we didn't make it that far. It's my first so everything is new and unexpected.

@elldog6 I had really bad nausea for a few weeks as well and it seems to be much better the last week or 2. That also makes me nervous!!!

We had to tell the in laws today as they were trying to send DH's sister here for Christmas, she's coming back from Germany today, so we had to say we didn't want her here without a covid test as I'm pregnant and don't want the new strain!!

@SamoyedFan123 I had covid a few weeks ago, when my nausea was at its peak, its a rough ride!

SamoyedFan123 · 20/12/2020 16:26

@MSG92 congrats on your pregnancy - your scan is the day after mine!

I'm sorry to hear you had Covid - it's really a horrible thing isn't it? It's good to hear that it didn't cause any issues with your pregnancy though - I've been so stressed out to have found my pregnancy symptoms so much decreased at exactly the same time that I've become so unwell with Covid. Just got to keep 🤞🤞🤞 until Jan 4th now I suppose!

EasyPeasyHappyCheesy · 20/12/2020 16:32

I am pregnant with my second. Currently about 10 weeks and feeling horrible. Good news is that I lost about 4kg already, so losing some of the weight I put on after my 1st. Have a scan in the 1st week of January and due mid July

elldog6 · 20/12/2020 18:57

@MSG92 Oh I have the exact same fears as you! Saw the heartbeat at 7w on a private scan but still terrified for my 12w scan. It's on 8th Jan so I hope yours goes well. When's your EDD?

MSG92 · 20/12/2020 19:21

@elldog6 it's so nerve racking isn't it!! I think around 19th July. I'm in no rush, want to pay off some debts and save some money for maternity leave!

elldog6 · 20/12/2020 20:07

@MSG92 ah yeah tell me about it. My work only pays stat and I earn more than my husband so it's gonna be a lean next 6 months! I'm approx 21st July

MSG92 · 21/12/2020 20:50

Anyone planning on a glycerin suppository when labour starts? Or anyone had a baby before and done this? I will be MORTIFIED if I poo in labour, in front of DH, and so will he bless him haha.

I don't care what anyone says about you don't think about it/notice. I have spoken to lots of friends and family, some did poo in labour, some didn't, and they confirmed they very much noticed! 1 was very bad and she felt as though she'd lost the last of her dignity when it was being fished out repeatedly from the bath!

h164 · 21/12/2020 21:04

Hi everyone! I’m currently 12+2 and due 3 July 2021 and had my 12 week scan today. From another thread someone set up a private Facebook group with people due in July. Let me know if any of you want to join xx

MSG92 · 21/12/2020 21:06

I'm not on FB please don't leave everyone!

RachShad · 21/12/2020 21:17

I'm due July too and having quite a hard time so joining for the advice :)

MSG92 · 21/12/2020 22:33

@RachShad why are you having a hard time? I love this place, think it's great to talk to people in similar situations, or people that have done it! It's my first so everything is new to me

RachShad · 21/12/2020 23:02

I've had really back sickness, nausea 24/7, extreme fatigue, dizziness! The whole lot haha. Started when I was about 6 weeks and I'm nearly 11 weeks now so its starting to affect me mentally now too! I'm absolutely drained and just want to be back to myself. Can't remember the last time I felt normal :(
Just abit low is all, but im sure ill get through. Hoping 2nd trimester is going to be better x

SamoyedFan123 · 22/12/2020 07:33

@RachShad hang on in there - i was in exactly the same headpiece as you a week ago, wondering why i had done this to myself again (our bodies are great at making us forget how bad it was the first time!), and just wanting to feel normal again, after feeling so bad since 4 weeks. The day i turned 11+1 the symptoms eased up massuvely, so hopefully you too will be feeling much better very soon. Unfortunately I came down with Covid 19 instead so I still feel absolutely awful, but for different reasons 😭

RachShad · 22/12/2020 09:31

Ah I hope so thankyou! I will keep you all informed of how I get on!! But awww no, look after yourself!! Nothing worse than being poorly especially at Christmas time!

Flittingaboutagain · 22/12/2020 09:55

Hi all,

There is another thread for July 2021 pregnancy started in November if you want to join it

I'm also going to use the glycerin suppository. It seems to be common practice in some countries just like a routine enema was.

LeaD83 · 22/12/2020 18:49

I'm due in July and started having dark bleeding when wiping today. It stopped for most of the day then started again just now. So worried as I had a mc last year. Got another early scan booked in for tomorrow and just hoping everything is ok 😪
