Is around who's due in April 2021? How are you feeling?

I was in a thread on here in early pregnancy, dropped off when I joined the buddies Facebook group, I'm still in it but its not really for me.... I miss having a place to go to chat pregnancy though.

@bunhead34 I had pains similar to what you described on my walk today, I just put them down to ligaments stretching. Im having a lot less pains now than earlier on.

LeopardLover · 17/12/2020 07:41

@bunhead34 No fuzzy face just yet! I've had pain through out in varying places and degrees 😅 those sound like round ligament pains. Mine tend to be the day before a belly growth spurt - I generally get them low down or light pains near my belly button 🙈

Ttwinksy · 17/12/2020 07:49

Yes I was having quite a bit of tight pains low down yesterday, assume its all my ligaments and muscles being put under pressure. Belly starting to feel quite firm now! I'm going to be massive at this rate...

firsttimemomtobex · 17/12/2020 19:45

I had a lot of stomach cramps in my first trimester that felt like period pains, now I'm getting stomach ache but it's definitely my belly stretching as loads of people have commented how big I've got over the past few days 😂 also have had a few pains around my belly button too!

Anyone got a tiny car? Think I’m gonna have to put down my back seats to get a pushchair in!

BaaHumbugg · 18/12/2020 20:32

I had a ford fiesta with my first daughter, was fine just took the boot shelf out! Now our car is ruined, blaming my boyfriend for that one!

firsttimemomtobex · 19/12/2020 06:45

@GreySkyClouds my partner has a VW Polo and our pushchair is going to fit in, we had the Oyster 3 so once they're out the carry cot and into the seat unit it all collapses as one rather than having to dismantle it 😊

UnicornAndSparkles · 19/12/2020 12:56

Depends what pram you get. A friend had a smaller car and had to take a wheel off her bugaboo every time she put it in the car!

GreySkyClouds · 19/12/2020 21:54

Saw the uppababy vista 2 today and really liked it. May have knocked the bugaboo fox 2 off my top spot.

Is anyone else finding they snore terribly?

In between my tossing and turning trying to get comfy with my hips and my snoring my poor DP barely sleeps and ends up on the sofa. I was the same last time but we had a spare bed then. I'm considering buying a spare bed, we still have our old mattress (nothing wrong with it we just wanted an upgrade) so it would just need a frame.

In the meantime, anyone have any remedies? Im going to try sleeping more upright tonight

I'm finding it difficult sleeping on my side. Any tips?

Ttwinksy · 21/12/2020 08:19

I'm thankfully finding that I'm sleeping much better in the last week or so - think I've just found the positions my hips hurt less in now (I seem to need to keep my bottom leg straight, top knee over my pregnancy pillow), so feeling more human these days! DP says I'm snoring a bit more than usual, but tbh he snores all the time anyway so its just payback Grin. Maybe you should try those nose strips? No idea if they work tho...

Tell me about it! Woken up this morning aching all over my bump and hips. It always eases when I’m up and about but a dreadful way to start the day.

The pillow in between legs has been helping, and I didn’t use it last night, which is probably why I’m so achy today.

I’ve decided to buy a pregnancy pillow today. Hopefully that will help.

SequinCola · 21/12/2020 10:37

My pregnancy pillow is very comfy and keeps me on my side but doesn't help much with the hip pain really.

My midwife said last week not to fret about side sleeping though, to start off on my side but not to worry if I end up on my back - I've slept better since then, but still a bit stiff in the hips first thing.

BoJingle · 21/12/2020 22:31

@Ttwinksy Yes I should look into those actually, thank you. Worth a shot as I feel dreadful for DP.

My pregnancy pillow definitely helps, I ache so much more without it. I'm sort of sleeping in a half on my stomach/half on my side position. It's comfier than completely laying on my side. I still wake up so many times, pregnancy sleep is rough!

I invested in a BBhugme pillow ages ago because I have had pelvic pain from about 12 weeks (joy). It’s super comfy but doesn’t really help me sleep any better.

Has anyone’s boobs grown dramatically? Mine are absolutely huge now and have changed shape a bit. I swapped from underwire bras to soft wireless crop tops that I bought cheap from H&M when they started growing but now they are too small. I can’t go and get measured obviously but have no concept of my size any more. Has anyone had any luck with not-too-expensive bra purchases online? I’m not sure where’s best to buy from. I think I’ll just have to buy lots in loads of different sizes and see what works. I got a ‘large’ bralette from primark which was huge around the chest but covered about half a nipple lol. I think this might be a struggle.

Ickli · 22/12/2020 14:45

I'm also really struggling with sleep, to the extent I spoke to my GP. Sadly (but understandably) medication is not an option. I'm now sleeping with 3 additional pillows (dream genie, plus an extra one behind my back and between my legs). More comfortable, but doesn't stop the insomnia and makes turning over into a mission.
@LuckyFlash mine grew in first trimester (from 34C to 36Dish) but seem to have slowed down for now. I've been living in M&S Body non-wired bralettes, which come in standard bra sizes so a bit more nuanced than many bralettes. Stretchy and comfy. www.marksandspencer.com/body-smoothing-longline-plunge-bra-a-e/p/clp60226646?color=WHITE&prevPage=srp

BoJingle · 22/12/2020 15:37

I have a BBhugme too. I definitely feel less achey sleeping with it that I do without but it isn't a miracle cure.

I have no idea on size, they've definitely grown alot and I don't like it. I was a 32F before and with additional growth I'm looking matronly. I've definitely gone up a back size and a couple of cup sizes.

Due to the difficulties getting measured I've invested in some "grow with you" maternity bras, they are crop top style ones and come in S,M,L so claim to cover multiple sizes and are surprisingly supportive.

OP posts:
firsttimemomtobex · 22/12/2020 18:04

@BoJingle hope you don't mind me asking but where did you get the maternity bras? I've always been really flat chested but they're definitely starting to grow now 😂 there's so many different bras and obviously not knowing what size to get makes it difficult to buy!

BoJingle · 22/12/2020 19:03

I have the bravado body silk
uk.bravadodesigns.com I have another one from their range aswell, the ballet one, very comfy but it's not as supportive.

A bit pricey but comes up alot as well reviewed so I figured if I can wear through my entire pregnancy and use to feed, its probably a worthwhile investment.

They are sold on a few different sites I think. I ordered from next originally but I ignored the size guide and sized up (don't do this) so had to send it back 😖 they didn't have my size in so I ordered direct from their website

Ooooh if you are looking @firsttimemomtobex have a look on figleaves, just seen they're in the sale. Im now considering getting myself another Grin

@BoJingle thankyou! Never heard of that site but I'll have a look now 😊

After two weeks of waking up in agony, and then being sore all day, I'm so glad to say that a pregnancy pillow is helping!

DH bought me the Dream Genii as an early Christmas present - and I've been using it for the past two nights and it's made a massive difference! Still sore when I wake up, but I no longer cry out in pain whenever I turn from side to side!

firsttimemomtobex · 25/12/2020 15:25

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all have a fantastic day, crazy to think this time next year we'll all have 8 month olds 🙊💕
