My scans on the 8th still got some nerves even though we've seen bumble bee (babys nickname) on Monday XD.

Nesski · 27/11/2020 21:06

@Sitchervice that is a cute name! Whilst my nausea and other symptoms are here, mine is called 'the sprog', will try and change it when I feel better Grin

Sitchervice · 27/11/2020 21:17

@Nesski The sprog love it!
I was called Snoggrass by my parents apparently >.

Hi ladies, bit of a latecomer hope you don't mind me joining. Had my "12 week" scan on tuesday. 1st baby no early scans so first time for me. By LMP should have been 12w5, ovulation (OPKs) should have been 13w1 but actually measured at 14 weeks! Gone from a due date of 4th June to 25th May. I'm not convinced so will be staying in the June group if that's ok!? Crystal clear scan attached of said big baby! Have my 20 week scan booked for 5th January.

@LemonRizzle what a lovely clear scan, had you drank loads before you went in? Mines on Wednesday so got to remember to drink plenty because I don't usually drink enough in the morning x

Dragonfly92 · 28/11/2020 09:47

@LemonRizzle Congratulations and welcome! That's a lovely and super clear scan 😊

Bs93 · 28/11/2020 10:53

Hi everyone, my scan went well on Thursday, as expected I was 10 weeks not 12, so that matches exactly with my private scan at 6 weeks. Could see baby moving around and its little hand and legs, and the umbilical cord 😊 was lovely. Having a rescan on 14th December because it was too early to do the dating and screenings.

Can people who are feeling sick and having food aversions share what they eat? I’m feeling so uninspired although I did enjoy McDonald’s chicken nuggets last night 🙈 just thought other people’s pregnancy foods might appeal!

SarahTTC2020 · 28/11/2020 11:05

@LemonRizzle look how clear a 14 week scan is then 😍 baby must grow so quickly now

Garman · 28/11/2020 12:11

@Bs93 I go through total phases on what I can and can't tolerate to eat, for weeks I ate toasted cheese sandwiches, then falafels in Pitas with hot sauce and Yoghurt, then just lots of plain toast or pastries! This week now its crunchy veg, or chicken and coleslaw sandwiches.

PurpleishDahlia · 28/11/2020 12:26

I also eat lots of cheddar toasties and pasta with red sauce. My 'healthy' meals are breakfast (fortified cereal with almonds and blueberries) and the odd grape or clementine as a snack. But it's mostly bread and crackers, unfortunately.

Mackie2020 · 28/11/2020 12:37

@Bs93 I could murder some McDonalds chicken nuggets right now...!
I've been leaning towards whatever's very easy to prepare. Rice cakes, sandwiches and crisps have featured an awful lot. I also really want a good steak and onion rings, but cooked by a professional so that's not going to happen any time soon!

swiftt · 28/11/2020 14:48

Is anyone else getting quite spotty? The lower half of my face is totally breaking out at the moment, and I usually have quite clear skin so I feel totally gross. Thank god for being able to cover up with face masks!

Waitingforbabypage · 28/11/2020 15:08

@swiftt same! It's also reacting differently to various products I have always used. My favourite face mask (the body shop Himalayan charcoal) and my toner (also the body shop, vitamin e) now make my face bright red and very tight.

I've stopped using those and just cut right back on products, now only use a face cleanser and a moisturiser- drinking lots of water too to see if that helps.

McDonald's is a must for me too! Their fries are my go to.
Garman · 28/11/2020 15:44

I haven't had McDonald's in probably 15 years but would've killed for one yesterday, can't go get it because of Covid though 😭

Suite88 · 28/11/2020 16:48

@swiftt and @Waitingforbabypage, same here! I used a Charlotte Tilsbury clay mask this week that I've used for year and it made my skin go red and sore.

I'm also going to cut back on products and hope it calms down by itself.

Bs93 · 28/11/2020 20:13

Sorry for setting off the Mcdonalds cravings haha! I randomly had a huge fancy for Thai food tonight, I’ve eaten two full plates of five and Massaman curry, it’s the most I’ve eaten for a month! Can’t believe it. And a can of Coke that tasted amaaaaazing. I’ll definitely end up suffering for it but for now enjoying feeling nicely full for the first time in so long!

SarahTTC2020 · 28/11/2020 20:24

@swiftt yes I've had quite a lot of neck spots the last week or two. And then dry, flaky patches on my face which I haven't had before

Dragonfly92 · 28/11/2020 20:31

@swiftt same here. I have switched to using burts bees cleanser and making sure I keep up with using it twice a day to try and help my skin. Plus drinking loads of water too

Northernlass101 · 28/11/2020 20:32

@swiftt I have full on break on chin near mouth region!

Well you know what the say crazy acne = baby girl 👧🏻!!!!!!

Really wonder if this is true

Garman · 28/11/2020 20:36

I couldn't get McDonald's but I got the better Irish version Grin It was so good, I feel vaguely sick after it as usual but it was worth it.

swiftt · 28/11/2020 20:41

@Northernlass101 ooh do they say that? I had a gut feeling I’d have a boy, but I’ve also been craving sugar nonstop!

Mcdonalds for me as well 😂😂 the veggie burger meal.

I've my next scan on the 10th, hopefully getting married on the 5th so hoping it all goes well.

AnnaPosie · 28/11/2020 22:36

Hi all! First time poster & first pregnancy. I’m almost 12 weeks and have my scan Weds 2nd Dec. Feeling very anxious as I’ve been told my platelet count was high and I may need monitoring. Has anyone had this with a previous pregnancy or been told they have it now? It seems more common later in pregnancy... not many threads about it and a general google is not pleasant reading!

Hoping everything is ok on weds. 💖
