aw how lovely @Jinglebells87 ! Very exciting.

Opticabbage · 13/01/2021 15:47

Sorry, I'm crap at keeping up but it's lovely to see people finding out whether they're having little boys or girls.

Today I've had the strongest craving for bacon fat! I've eaten about 5 rashers. Feel a bit sick but no regrets!

I can't stop craving McDonalds cheese burgers - and before I was pregnant I had been mostly veggie for a year! I have given in for bubba though
Snally82 · 13/01/2021 18:32

@Emmie12 I literally just got back from McDonalds after a cheeseburger craving!

lucieloos · 13/01/2021 18:36

Urgggh...burgers are one of my few food aversions that haven't gone away yet. A little annoying!

TerryRose · 13/01/2021 19:39

@Opticabbage my friend is craving rashers as well!

I've no cravings at the moment and still have some food aversions, this week I went totally off pasta 🤣🙈 and still no interest in veg other than potatoes but eating lots of fruits so at least I've that . I kinda thought by 18 weeks I'd be finished with the aversions but so glad to be done wind the nausea 🙌

Opticabbage · 13/01/2021 22:28

Oh god, I shouldn't have checked back on this thread.. now I want bacon again Grin I'm glad I'm not the only one. Also, was given a burger for tea and it made me want to puke, so I'm with you on that aversion @lucieloos

TerryRose · 13/01/2021 22:40

Apologies if tmi but anyone else have really sore nipples ?!🙈 noticed mine are quite dry which never happened before , I've been wearing sports bras but thinking now maybe I need something with more room like a normal maternity bra maybe

BlondePotter · 13/01/2021 23:24

@TerryRose my right one is the same, dry and itchy. I think it's just where the nipple is growing and stretching the skin. I'm still in my.normal bras and using moisturiser and trying not to scratch

TerryRose · 14/01/2021 00:50

@BlondePotter it's my right one as well😂🤣 thanks for your reply , I'll keep moisturising and hope it goes away soon

MadameBonfamille · 14/01/2021 07:40

@Firsttimeconcerns

Hi all,

I am 16 weeks and over the last couple of days I have experienced this feeling which is really hard to describe. I wouldn't be able to point to it externally. It feels like the top of my uterus possibly. It's not painful but noticeable. It's a sharp feeling that has been on and off throughout the day. Almost like a sharp contraction but at the top. Confused

Not sure if that is recognisable to anyone?

I haven't contacted anyone as it's not painful and I put it down to growing and possible ligaments. However, the Internet says that's mostly felt at the sides of your stomach and this is up inside.

Just after a little reassurance that people have felt similar!!

@Firsttimeconcerns your sensations could be Braxton hicks - I'm not sure how far along you are and I know they generally come later on in pregnancy but mine started super early with my second pregnancy. All sorts of strange aches, pains and stretching going on here too so you're definitely not alone.
AlRRRR · 14/01/2021 08:01

@TerryRose Hi. I find if I wear anything, it can make them itch. I don’t wear bra’s usually, I wear a loose crop top (I’m a size 38 C). In pregnancy I ditch the crop top all together and it seems so much better! x

Fightingtobepositive · 14/01/2021 08:41

Morning all :)

Also had a few aversions big one is Chinese which is gutting but craving pasta, pickled onions and anything refreshing.

Also having sore nipples off and on, moisturising does help.

How is everyone’s sleep? Mines getting a little uncomfortable now.
Also exercise is anyone managing to do much? I’m working from home and walk the dogs most days for at least an hour but that does me in so leave it at that. I think working from home and being sat on my bum all day is making me less energetic than is normal anyway.

@Firsttimeconcerns I’m with you. Lots of pains cramps, heaviness, dull aches. Generally uncomfortably and feel a little like
I’m made out of glass these days lol. But I’ve heard it’s all quite normal. Although I’ve started a list so when I finally get a tidy midwife apt I can ask.

AlRRRR · 14/01/2021 09:18

@Fightingtobepositive
I tried Joe Wicks 4 days ago and just recovering 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I, like you just walk my toddler (age 3) for an hour daily, that seems to be Okay.
I have pubic bone pain, mainly on the left side (happened in 1st preg too) So that makes me move every 20 mins as it starts hurting when sitting.

Not uncomfortable in bed and I have no bump, but I’m 17 weeks today and have a reversed uterus so baby stays tucked right in until 24 weeks usually!

Nesski · 14/01/2021 09:48

@Fightingtobepositive no exercise apart from daily walks either, no motivation at all unless I'm in a class with other people puffing away so I'm just going to sit back and relax 🤣 I am seriously hoping gyms will reopen in February so I can get some in before the third trimester!

Sleeping is uncomfortable on my back, I've been sleeping on my side since week 5 tbh, I have a big fibroid that is really uncomfortable (usually a belly or back sleeper)

Dragonfly92 · 14/01/2021 10:43

Morning all. Hope everyone is okay.

Had awful nausea yesterday which thankfully hasn't continued to today. Not really having many cravings apart from Ben & Jerry's Phish Food! So glad my aversion to chocolate has gone.

@Fightingtobepositive I'm only doing a few dog walks each day. I used to do home workouts before pregnancy but I have no motivation for them at the moment. My Fitbit is having to remind me to move during the day.

Starting to find it uncomfortable with sleeping too. Mainly my hips if I've been laying on one side for too long. Have a pregnancy pillow and find depending on how that positions itself during the night depends on how achey I am. Still learning what helps long term in the night.

northerngal20 · 14/01/2021 11:26

@Fightingtobepositive also just doing dog walking really. i've started some pregnancy yoga too - it was a bit of a shock to the system after not doing any for so long but felt good afterwards!

does anyone else feel like their bump is getting smaller? i'm 17 weeks and it seems almost flat this morning - whereas last week i was sure it was starting to pop!

AlRRRR · 14/01/2021 12:06

Has anyone who had a cyst seen on their 12 week had it seen again on their 20 week scan? x

TerryRose · 14/01/2021 12:10

@northerngal20 yup! I was the same ! I felt it as huge 16 weeks but not at 17 weeks, but apparently it's normal and nothing to worry about , it would be nice if it just kept getting bigger though !

northerngal20 · 14/01/2021 12:15

ah ok @TerryRose that's really reassuring to hear! thank you! i'll try to be patient and wait for it to come back. i feel the most normal i've felt all pregnancy at the mo - very few aches/pains and no bump, i honestly wouldn't know i was pregnant had i not heard the heartbeat a few days ago!

Lovethatjourneyforme · 14/01/2021 12:16

I'm just walking, not putting too much pressure myself and enjoying feeling like I have I reason to not feel guilty about having a lazy day tbh - I'm terrible at doing that normally. Very luckily, I've not gained much weight at all so far, waiting for the third trimester to ruin all that!!

No food cravings at all, and no real aversions either!

Lovethatjourneyforme · 14/01/2021 12:20

@northerngal20 I'm 19 weeks, I said the exact same thing about 2 weeks ago and I've definitely developed a bump since, plus the beginnings of a stretch mark 😅 don't worry, your bump will definitely pop back out again soon!

Penny2020 · 14/01/2021 17:19

Hi ladies, another 20week scan report here and sharing just because isn’t this little foot pic so cute!!!
Glad to hear everyone else is still having weird cravings/aversions. I didn’t have in 1st tri so thought it was odd they’d just hit me. All I want is to eat ten pepperamis!

June 2021 part 3!
Fightingtobepositive · 14/01/2021 17:51

Thanks ladies, that makes me feel less guilty about the lack of movement I’m doing 🙈.

But also makes me feel like a total alien as my bump is certainly there and pretty bloody big at that, mind it’s come and gone since now I’m 19 weeks, but before now I’d wake up small and just grew a belly as the day went on and eat more food. The bloat hasn’t been much fun lol

Such a cute pic @Penny2020

How are you doing @Mackie2020

Nellle · 14/01/2021 18:16

@penny2020 that might be the cutest scan pic I've ever seen!
