Anyone else’s boobs already grown? My OH commented they look a lot fuller and I put a proper bra on for the first time in ages yesterday (I usually wear sports non wired ones) and it felt so tight! I’m 7 weeks tomorrow.

Liloulou · 12/12/2020 11:46

@LauraT94 @biscuitcat @WinterBabyof89 thank you, you’re right, I think I need to stop googling and find something else to do to keep myself busy. I’ve got work for the next week or so and redecorating to do in the house. I think I’ve googled everything I possibly could anyway so there’s nothing new I would find.

I spoke to OH last night. He’s actually been really good. He had his first intro to counsellor session yesterday for his anxiety (unrelated to this). I initially wasn’t really sharing my worries with him for fear of making his anxiety worse but he’s been very good since we talked more and it’s helped us both.

It’s the weekend so I’m going to enjoy a walk with the dogs, get some decorating done and some Xmas wrapping. Also I’m a BIG fan of non alcoholic ginger wine warmed up, I’d highly recommend! Yum 😋

Welcome @MeganChar1 and congratulations on the BFP 🥳 . It’s often hard to take our own advice and not worry isn’t it 😄

Yes! They don't look much bigger but feel fuller. They also feel heavier in general, particularly at night!
MeganChar1 · 12/12/2020 12:45

@MintGreenLife I asked the nurse when I went for my second blood test if they could tell and they said they wouldn’t be able to tell me. When GP rang to confirm the second results were also positive they weren’t going to give me any info at all really I had to probe them as I think they wanted me off the phone ASAP haha. I had a call from midwife this morning and they’ve actually booked me in for my booking appointment later today! So I’ll ask them and hopefully get reassurance.

Having an underactive thyroid doesn’t help my worry as I’ve read online if it’s not managed it can cause miscarriage (I take meds for it but doesn’t stop me worrying ha). I think I need to try and stay away from Dr Google lol x

What're the signs of Dehydration during pregnancy? (I just wanna make sure I'm having enough fluids!)

Rutland23 · 12/12/2020 13:12

Hey there I'm expecting and due on 15th August. Hoping that this pregnancy goes well as I suffered a miscarriage 2 months ago. Been to hospital today with cramping and passed a small black dry clot and now the pain has eased and getting some spotting, but they say I have a mild uti. Anyone experienced similar symptoms at 5 weeks?

MintGreenLife · 12/12/2020 13:24

@MeganChar1 that’s good you have your booking appointment already. I’m sure after your scan next week you’ll be able to figure things out ☺️ Just don’t panic if they can’t see much as could be that you just ovulated late. Huge congrats by the way!

Fantafanta · 12/12/2020 13:49

Congratulations to those who have had their BFPs!!! I am hoping for this one. Potentially late at CD29 but they have varies from 21-32 days so hard to tell. We started TTC July 2019 and had a miscarriage in Jan 2020 at 14 weeks although essentially was around 5 weeks. We had no idea so was a big shock and very difficult. I had a further miscarriage very early and quick in May 2020 and have had some unusual symptoms and chronic UTIs back to back for months. Finally been scanned and they have found retained pregnancy tissue that has calcified but cannot get an appointment probs until Jan 2021 so I'm in massive unknown. Am I ok? Can I conceive? Can I successfully carry? Full of doubt and worry.

@buckingmad

Hi I’m 5+4 with our 1st. I’m already so bloated. I’m petite at 5ft2 and just under 7.5 stone and my lovely flat tummy has disappeared already! I can’t even imagine how huge I am going to get, there’s no where for baby to go but out! Has anyone else noticed their core has just melted overnight? I have a horse and I seem to have lost all ability to ride and feel out of breath a lot quicker.

Symptom wise I get nauseous first thing, mid afternoon and then just before dinner. Very tired and the odd headache.

We’re going for an early scan at 8 weeks just before Christmas so we can tell both our parents/siblings/grandparents etc on Christmas. Will probably wait till 12 week scan to tell the world!

Hey ! Congrats ! & I'm 5 weeks pregnant too - 5'1 and weigh 7 stone ! I have a very toned flat stomach so I'm wondering the same as you lol

Where did you book for your early scan, I'm considering one too ! X

buckingmad · 12/12/2020 17:21

@Tinkerbellxox we booked at our local private scan place, not one of the chain types. Was £110

Lililou · 13/12/2020 11:36

Hi all, I know I was going to keep myself distracted and busy for the next week after a week or so of spotting most days. But I caved to POAS. But I'm glad I did. I previously wasn't seeing much progression on the sticks. However this morning I used second wee of the day with an Internet cheapie and the line appeared straight away and the strongest so far.

I then decided to use my other FRER and got a very strong line within seconds.

Also no more spotting at all last night or today so far, will see how I get on this week but this feels like a a huge relief🤞

Thanks @LauraT94 for the welcome Smile

And thanks @KatieLianne93! I have now called my GP as I had two days in a row of very bright pink positive tests and just wanted to find out what I needed to do next. I haven't self-referred yet or filled out the forms for the booking appointment. My OH and I are away from home staying with his family through the holidays, but we've been a 7 week reassurance scan the first few days of January which I'm looking forward to.

@MintGreenLife nice to see you here - hope you're feeling well as things progress.

Aw326 · 13/12/2020 12:05

Congratulations @Lililou - such a wonderful feeling!

Hi ladies! I moved from July to August after being dated 6+1 yesterday.
I had a scan and been told my sac is thin and irregular shaped, has anyone had similar? Being rescanned 2 weeks but there is a heart beat!

Can I join? Got a positive test a few weeks ago after 6 months of trying (including one weird loss that I thought was a CP but came roaring back a month later). Test progression is good but it's very different from my first pregnancy, where I had a lot more symptoms! So far only consistent symptom is slightly fuller and veiny boobs. I keep spotting after sex which is also scaring me; didn't happen at all with my first. Going for an early scan week after next when I will be 7+1, so far due date is August the 10th. @georgiaerin lovely scan photo, congratulations. I hope your next scan goes well.

georgiaerin · 13/12/2020 13:43

Thanks lovely. I have sore boobs that's it! Pregnancy is weird x

I had this happen to my previous pregnancy. But unfortunately I miscarried a week later. Apparently sac thinness & incorrect gestational sac duration leads to miscarriage of baby!
BertieBotts · 13/12/2020 22:42

Not always, IME they are very clear with you if they think the chances are low, I don't know what the chance is with those things but I don't think it's a given that there is no hope.

I do know once you've had heartbeat confirmed the chance of miscarriage drops dramatically, if that helps at all.

When I was getting pregnant repeatedly a few years ago we used to say DH could tell by my boobs if I was pregnant or not :o I don't know that mine are particularly different this time.

georgiaerin · 13/12/2020 22:51

@haidri
How far along were you?
I was feeling a bit better as I was told because there's a heart beat and I wasn't straight up told it's a huge problem just want to monitor but after reading your comment I'm terrified again.

georgiaerin · 13/12/2020 22:53

@BertieBotts thank you.
I just feel so uneasy to what's happening.
She didn't tell me it was going to end or even be a misscarriage or that was even a chance she just said it's very thin and irregular shaped.
I've had some people say it looks fine other say they had similar and 3 people say it will end in a miscarriage and I'm bloody terrified.

georgiaerin · 13/12/2020 22:53

Oh and @BertieBotts I didn't have sore boobs first pregnancy but I had breast implants this March and my god they're SO sore now!

I was exactly 12 weeks. I went into EPU a week before and heard the heartbeat but she said the same thing about the sac. Next thing I know.. I had a fish of blood; admitted into A&E, and gave birth to my 12week.

georgiaerin · 13/12/2020 23:09

@haidri ah I'm so sorry.
I'm not feeling very positive at all for this one then. Was starting to feel bit more relaxed but I'll hold out for the worse x

BertieBotts · 13/12/2020 23:16

With my first miscarriage, I went in at 5/6 weeks and they saw something more like a 4/5 week gestation, my hCG was also very low (about 100) and they were very very cautious with me, letting me know the chances weren't high, that there wasn't a huge amount they could do, almost preparing me for the worst. I had another scan 2 days later and because there had been some growth, they changed their tune totally, started being more positive, gave me magnesium to help stop the cramping etc. Unfortunately that wasn't to be, but I now know that in our case/with DH's condition, any delay in development is usually a bad sign (they had thought that actually my dates were wrong and the first scan/blood test was just earlier than thought).

I don't think it's very helpful to have comments saying this or that definitely leads to miscarriage because IME - if there really is no (or very little) hope, medical staff are straight with you. They don't want you to come back in a week's time full of optimism for it to be bad news, if that makes sense? So if they are saying they just want to monitor, I would try and stay positive, if that is what helps you. Of course at such an early stage everything is up in the air but I would not despair yet. It's so horrible having to wait for news/confirmation. Try and find something to distract yourself with! I went through so many silly mobile games with those first few pregnancies just trying to pass the first few uncertain weeks. City 2048 was a favourite :) It's very mindless but addictive!

georgiaerin · 13/12/2020 23:19

Thanks
@BertieBotts and sorry for your loss.
The sonograoher didn't say much at all she definitely didn't say it was bad or will lead to anything just she wanted to monitor it. I don't know. All so early isn't it! :( x
