No point to this thread just so excited to meet my baby Grin Is anyone else due soon or found out they're pregnant recently? It's all so exciting

I'm 39 + 2, booked for section at 39+5 😬 x

BeMorePacific · 27/10/2020 00:22

I’m 39 weeks.. I have a section booked for tomorrow. But my waters just broke.. wondering if I’m going to have a decision to make.. eek. I had planned to go for a VBAC if baby came before 39 weeks. Baby is measuring large, so it’s a hard decision to make 🙈

Mc3209 · 27/10/2020 00:49

Baby boy Rafa arrived safely via section. @BeMorePacific that's precisely what happened to me (only I didn't have a pre booked section already, just had a scheduled antenatal appointment to discuss options). Waters broke on the morning of, contractions started. They offered me a section on emergency list and I accepted. All went absolutely fine, baby fed straight away. A bit sore right now, but no regrets from me re going for section.

BeMorePacific · 27/10/2020 04:54

@Mc3209 congratulations!!
I think I’ll be doing the same. Consistent contractions haven”t started, so I reckon I’ll just be skipping the c section queue for today! 😍

FudgeFlies · 27/10/2020 06:04

@Mc3209 Congratulations!

39+5 today, got my preoperative assessment this afternoon for an elective caesarian on Thursday... all feeling very real now and I'm excited and anxious in equal measure.

I already have a DS age (nearly) 3 so this has been a very different pregnancy to my first- very little resting and relaxing. Also being pregnant during the pandemic has taken a lot of the shine off.

Currently spending as much time as I can lying down with my legs crossed and hoping baby doesn't make an appearance... was supposed to have the section last Thursday (39 weeks) but there weren't enough surgeons so they've moved it to my actual due date

FizzingWhizzbee123 · 27/10/2020 10:43

38+5 here. Very tired and fed up. This is No 2, who seems very comfy with no signs of moving. I had to be induced at 40+12 last time and I’ve been told to expect to go overdue again this time. Sigh.

SqidgeBum · 27/10/2020 11:13

I am 39+1 today. Woke with pains last night, having a few back cramps today but nothing regular. All my labour pains were in my back last time. I have spent the morning making sure DDs bag is packed to go to her Nanas and dancing with DD in the kitchen to keep moving. I have realised too that this may be the last day DD has with me as an only child as she goes to nursery Wednesday to Friday. I feel sort of bad for her. Poor kid is only 2 next month. She doesnt know what's about to hit the household. Anyone else a little concerned for their toddlers?

LayTheTableMabel · 27/10/2020 15:32

Congratulations @Mc3209!

@SqidgeBum I have 26mo so similar in age to yours. Baby has brought its big bro a present which is wrapped and ready for their first meeting. We are also making sure that our toddler will be really involved, getting nappies, changing his 'baby' (dolly), making him a sling for his dolly. I think that the key is to make sure that you big up how important a big bro/sister job is. I am sure we over think these things, your awareness means you are going to ace having the 2 of them and balancing their needs i am sure. Smile

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 27/10/2020 16:14

@forestsmurf thank you 😊 yes first was c section too, because it was planned it was so calm and organised, recovery was good too. Took painkillers regularly and just watched what I was doing. I did feel great after a few days and thought I'd try and hoover the front room (stupidly!!!!!) and that really knocked me for six, which serves me right really. Certainly won't be doing that again!

biscuit13 · 27/10/2020 22:09

Getting so impatient... 39 weeks tomorrow and wondering when this baby is going to come!!! Its our first. Im trying to savour every day feeling baby squirming around in there like it could be the last one.
I honestly thought I would have already had baby by now.... just had a feeling it would be early but nope....

eatthatbueno · 27/10/2020 22:37

@biscuit13 lol! I feel the exact same I'm 39+2 and I was certain he'd be here by now. I'm trying to enjoy these last relaxing moments before it's sleepless nights😆

Good luck to the rest of you, you've got this!!

SqidgeBum · 28/10/2020 06:48

I went into labour/waters broke on my DD at 39+3, although I didnt give birth til 39+6. I am 39+2 today, so I have this expectation of going into labour soon. Just wait. I will be sitting here in a weeks time when you all have your babies 😆

FlowerPig · 28/10/2020 07:11

Congratulations @Mc3209 and @SadAndPregnant 💖💙 I hope all went well for you and your babes and you're both recovering nicely. I am so envious of you meeting your babies already and having newborn cuddles!!!

So excited for my turn but like @SqidgeBum I have a feeling I'll be still waiting when everyone else has had theirs!!

sophs29 · 28/10/2020 07:30

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 28/10/2020 08:45

I'm still waiting too. Had my 4yr old at 39+3. So at 39+4 now I'm the most pregnant I've been Shock
