@Mc3209 how exciting!! Good luck!

AlviesMam · 26/10/2020 08:09

39 weeks today too! Grin
I'm feeling fine just have really bad spd!
Wondering when she's going to arrive!
I'm scared about giving birth! Sad

SqidgeBum · 26/10/2020 08:31

@Mc3209 oh wow!! Exciting!! Keep us informed.

@Alviesmam I am scared too, but I have been watching lots of videos from a woman called Lucy flow yoga which talks about how we are conditioned to fear birth but we dont need to, and trying to think 'my body is built to do this'. I am basically psyching myself up for it. I freaked out in my last labour. I am going to try keep a bit of a level head on this one.

Im 39+1 and due to exchange and complete on our first ever house today finally!! Will definitely be leaving the heavy lifting to the men.
Already had a sweep last week and just a few period cramps since then and BH. Its my first so no idea what to expect.

Good luck ladies!! Flowers

Am 38+4 today with an ELCS scheduled for Friday. Really nervous about the surgery but can’t wait to meet little one and also to not be pregnant anymore!!

Good luck @Mc3209 hope all goes quickly for you

Sairafina · 26/10/2020 11:38

39 weeks today too!! Very exciting times ahead 🤗

@Mc3209 keep us posted! I thought I was having contractions last night as they felt exactly like you described but my waters haven't broken and they have stopped now

I have an appointment with my OB/GYN later today, last week she was able to have a feel of my cervix to let me know how 'ripe' it was (awful term!) so I'm hoping she will do the same today.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 26/10/2020 11:42

39 wks with my second on Friday- no idea where this year went, whether due to covid or the fact this baby was conceived and born in the same year but I’m freaking out.
So ill prepared for number 2 compared to number 1. My last labour was “quick” at 5 hours once established which has put the fear of god in me for this one, have to take my 3yr old to family once labour starts.

Good luck mamas to be

forestsmurf · 26/10/2020 11:52

Ooh can I join 39+1 today, with baby number 3 , feeling ok but getting a bit fed up now, constant Braxton hicks. Both other labours were started by a sweep after 40 weeks so I keep thinking I wont go into labour naturally but I suppose only time will tell.
Also trying not to be snappy with my other DC after very little sleep 🙄

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 26/10/2020 12:01

37+2 with DD2 - first DD was a ivf and this baby is a total natural surprise!

Booked in for ELCS Wednesday as she's been measuring small, had two bleeds already and currently sitting in women's outpatients after bleed number 3 that started this morning... safe to say I'm so excited for her to be out!

SqidgeBum · 26/10/2020 12:03

I have fobbed my DD off on my MIL. I have been struggling for weeks but I have just reached breaking point now and felt so bad that she wasnt being taking anywhere so my MIL has taken her out. No signs of labour at all for me. I was bang on time on DD1 so I am hoping I dont go over on this one.

forestsmurf · 26/10/2020 12:19

Good look for Wednesday @dillydally. Was your first a c-section? How are you feeling?

hibaby20 · 26/10/2020 14:23

Hi! I'm having a little girl 2 weeks today with elective csection. My first birth was an emergency one and I was out of it for most of the process so kind of looking forward to this one! A lot of my friends have second planned csections are a lot more relaxed and easier! I'm just dreading the recovery but other than that I'm excited! Good luck to everyone meeting their little babies soon ❤️

sophs29 · 26/10/2020 15:12

I'm 40+4 today with DS2! Very impatient now and had so many of the symptoms for weeks but nothing! Have a stretch & sweep booked on Thursday but fingers crossed he decides to come before then!

SqidgeBum · 26/10/2020 15:16

@hibaby2020 wow!! Exciting!! Best of luck today. Amazing to think you will be holding your little baby so soon

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 26/10/2020 15:21

I'm 39+2 with my second baby. Seriously desperate now. Terrible SPD and generally fed up! Come on baby!!

My first baby came at 39+3 so I can't help but compare and symptom spot like a crazy person. I had loads of Braxton hicks and period pains 2/3 days ago and now nothing..

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 26/10/2020 15:29

a lot of my friends have second planned csections are a lot more relaxed and easier! I'm just dreading the recovery but other than that I'm excited v interesting as if my first and knowing what I know I would so have done an elective c sections. The only reason I will go natural this time (hopefully) is because with a toddler under my feet a lengthened recovery time would be a nightmare .

FlowerPig · 26/10/2020 15:54

39+2 here with my first and feeling impatient, grumpy and a bit low today. Taken to the couch under a blanket watching daytime TV drinking decaf tea.
Like everyone else I am hoping baby will start making some moves soon, not had any real signs other than sporadic light period pains and back ache and a definite increase in discharge over the last week or so.
Will be nice to watch this thread over the coming weeks and see when all the babies make their grand entrance 😊
I had today's date in my head for her birthday which is probably contributing to my mood, so I am trying to retrain my brain to 42 weeks to avoid feeling so disappointed for the next 19 days....the joys of these last weeks!!! 🙄

LayTheTableMabel · 26/10/2020 16:03

Hi, can I join! 38+1 today. I have had some period like pains and lots of backache.... but the backache may be down to my 2yo who still wants to be carried and held a lot, oh and breastfed, no need for nipple stimulation here Grin. Fingers crossed for good news for you @Mc3209 and all you other mummies to be.

eatthatbueno · 26/10/2020 16:07

Lovely to hear about all your pregnancies! Everyone will have to come back once baby is born and let us know how they're feeling 👶❤️

FudgeFlies · 26/10/2020 18:43

I’m 38+5 and have a sweep planned at 40 weeks (next week). Been having occasional light crampy feelings and pressure but I think that’s her head butting my cervix, it’s hard to tell!
Getting impatient now, hope the sweep gets things going but know not to get my hopes up.

Sairafina · 26/10/2020 21:47

I just had a sweep, felt a little uncomfortable but not at all painful. The OB/GYN said to expect some bleeding tonight and hopefully some more contractions!

We were also able to hear his little heartbeat pumping away - the best sound ever!

AC1991 · 26/10/2020 21:58

I’m 39+1 today 😊 I’m so excited and so impatient! It’s so surreal we will have our babies soon!

@biscuit13 I’m getting a sweep on Thursday and I’ll be 39+4 that day. I had really high blood pressure at my 34 week appointment which has been stable since then on lowest dose of medication but consultant said I could have a sweep this week if I wanted. I refused a proper induction for this week to see if things might start off on their own but hoping the sweep encourages baby too!

mobear · 26/10/2020 22:13

41+3, being induced tomorrow!
