From me today. What are people most looking forward to after pregnancy is over. Sorry if TMI, but I just can't wait to have a regular daily poo again without a struggle. I don't remember being like this in first pregnancy but this time movements can't not be taken for granted. 🙈😊

Nic2908 · 08/11/2020 14:09

@Sheera1 I am most looking forward to the biggest stickies cheeseboard ever seen to man........and wearing something other than black leggings. Great question.

Nic2908 · 08/11/2020 14:10

Stinkiest*

Babyhope98 · 08/11/2020 14:52

Omg this really struck a cord with me all I do is wear leggings my maternity jeans haven’t fitted since 2nd trimester😂😂 @Nic2908 I am looking forward to having my body back for sure and I look forward to a nice rare steak and a coffee 🤩. I really fancy an alcoholic drink too but I’m going to breastfeed so can’t have one for a while. 😩

jalu47 · 08/11/2020 15:01

It's only been 3 weeks on this diabetes restricted diet but I'm craving bread and pizza and anything carby right now, I've cream too! A good glass of red and a few G&Ts too.. it's going to have to be times well around feeding but I will not be abstaining at Xmas!!

loobeelou · 08/11/2020 15:11

Definitely a nicely cooked steak (not incinerated) and a large glass of red. Also a runny yolk egg 😂

peachypetite · 08/11/2020 15:25

@Babyhope98 you don't have to completely abstain from alcohol when breastfeeding!
I'm sick of wearing black leggings too but probably will be in them for a while post birth!

Same here! Can't wait to have some nice cheese! 😌

MsBee13 · 08/11/2020 15:35

Ladies, anybody having tingling sensation in their finger tips? My hands are so swollen I can barely make a fist. The tingling is only in my left hand fingers and it's getting worse. I heard it might be a carpal tunnel syndrome? Sometimes I can't even hold things properly and keeps dropping stuff all the time 😩

peachypetite · 08/11/2020 15:46

@MsBee13 that sounds horrible! I have only had pins and needles a couple of times at night and that is bad enough. Maybe you should get a splint?

kkr168 · 08/11/2020 16:14

Pate!! I am seriously considering packing some french stick, butter & pate in my hospital bag 😂

@loobeelou Runny eggs? I've been eating them throughout, they are safe as long as they have the british stamp?

Jellycat2020 · 08/11/2020 16:16

In no particular order:

  • glass of wine
  • a decent cheeseboard or rare steak
  • less hip/back pain
  • getting back to exercise again (which I'll need after all the wine and cheese and steak!) 😂
And I quite like my leggings....

Will try that. Thanks x

kkr168 · 08/11/2020 16:23

@MsBee13 I've had it since the 2nd trimester, it's awful. I was wearing a splint overnight which was helping but recently it seems to make the tingling worse, so I've stopped wearing it. I now sleep with my arms dangling over the side of the bed, which is helping but I still have tingling & pain when I curl my fingers up. I've not been able to finish my crochet blanket because its just too painful.
I'm 37+3 weeks pregnant & holding onto the hope that it will disappear once baby arrives.

I have been eating runny eggs since day one. With a lion stamp of course.

Ooh, yeah 😌 Paté will be on my list too x

I'm 37+3 exactly too! Oh, it's horrible, isn't it? Also my ankles are so swollen, can't see the bones anymore 😅 I hope it goes away once baby born.

I also feel so clumsy all the time, dropping stuff and get so annoyed when I have to bend over and pick it up 😆

loobeelou · 08/11/2020 17:10

@MsBee13 @kkr168 I live overseas and they don't do the stamp on eggs here. They are probably ok but I didn't think it was worth the risk. Only a few more weeks to go.

Pâté is a good call, will add it to the list 😂

peachypetite · 08/11/2020 17:59

I want a glass of champagne and Brie.

Sheera1 · 08/11/2020 18:15

Ooh yes @peachypetite I am with you on champagne and brie! I have had some ovenbaked .

Also with the pate people! Mmmmm.

And shellfish. (Been eating cooked prawns).

@msbee13 yes this is me!! Dropping stuff due to our ligaments relaxing and then having to bend and get it. Sooo annoying!

EithneBlue · 08/11/2020 18:33

I have 4 bottles of German Mulled Wine waiting in the kitchen.
That and a rare steak will make me happy :-)

peachypetite · 08/11/2020 18:39

Yes to rare steak! Has anyone else done the classes by la leche league for breastfeeding?

danielasummer · 08/11/2020 21:53

Sushi for me! Although I plan on breastfeeding, so not sure if I can have it?
@peachypetite yes I am, I'm doing the 28th/29th course, are you?

OP posts:
Dee96 · 08/11/2020 23:12

@danielasummer second that on the sushi. I've been missing it so bad.... oh and cocktails! Just seeing one at this point whether it's on the TV or in someones hand is agonising

Pinktruffle · 09/11/2020 01:55

I'm looking forward to drinking coffee, maybe even having a gin and tonic which I have heen craving for some reason even though I'm usually T-total. I'll probably get some Seedlip.

The thing I am most looking forward to is being able to sleep on my back! And hopefully being able to turn over without feeling like my body is going to be ripped in two because I put weight on my back for a split second - this may be a delayed dream though due to my c-section, though I'm hopeful back sleeping will be all systems go.

iwwntchocolate · 09/11/2020 02:01

@lc86 I have an appointment with the consultant on Tuesday to talk about having a planned c section an get a decision. What can I expect did you have to really put up a fight.
I'm scared about it but birth scares me more
