@BntTowers Good luck for tomorrow, I hope you get taken quickly. I waited till half 3 as labour ward was so busy😞. I'll be thinking of you 💕 xx

Spark27 · 14/10/2020 20:58

Congratulations @Viletta.

Hope you get to go in early tomorrow @BntTowers. Hope all goes well. I found my induction last time a really positive experience.

Sorry I've been absent for a bit. This app is so difficult to check, esp with a demanding baby. But I do keep popping on to see how you're all doing xx

Wobbitcatcher · 14/10/2020 21:13

@Viletta welcome baby!

@BntTowers good luck tomorrow!

So I’m 10 days over today and still no sign of baby! I have been loosing quite a bit of my plug (although that’s been going for a while!)

I’ve got my 3rd sweep in the morning and then I think they will book me in for an induction Saturday. I managed to damage one of my teeth yesterday so I’ve been in so much pain with it and dentist couldn’t do anything without X-raying me. Really the last thing I need now!

NWnature · 14/10/2020 21:45

@Wobbitcatcher ah sorry about your tooth - you really don’t need that! Hope the sweep tomorrow goes well!

@BntTowers sending so many good vibes for tomorrow!!

@LexiM sounds positive - will keep everything crossed for you x

My acupuncture went ok but nothing since. No sign of plug/ show unfortunately. 40+4 today going to go for a long walk tomorrow. Have my first sweep on Saturday. Doubt anything will happen before then. I just really really hope I do go into labour naturally so I can try the birth centre.

Zaalfruit · 15/10/2020 05:07

@NWnature hope you get to go to the birth centre - erm try and go on a walk on an incline that’s what did the day before I gave birth .

@Wobbitcatcher ouch - tooth pain is the worst when your not pregnant eek hopefully not to long till you give birth and get it sorted.

@BntTowers good luck and hopefully you get an early start !! Xxx

@Spark27 I have no clue what is happening and how time flies With a newborn . She is so demanding tonight from 11pm she must have only slept an hour collectively - I opened her nappy and as I’m so tired I wasn’t fast enough she wet herself the bed and me . Eurgh just placed a towel on top of that side of the bed for now . Every time I place her down she wails like a police siren.

Zaalfruit · 15/10/2020 05:13

Well done and congrats @Viletta

@LexiM the start line to baby is so close - nearly there - waiting for baby is a drag But fingers crossed baby will be in your arms soon .

@Treacle81 I’m jealous I miss sleep - Sophia breathes funny in the night so any heavy breathing wakes me up straight away . My arms are breaking from carrying her - Steiger fusses so much when dh holds her I just take her back .

Treacle81 · 15/10/2020 10:26

@Zaalfruit first wooble last night and now feel like such a failure. From 6pm onwards Cam seemed to be hungry constantly and needed fed hourly or sooner. I was exhausted and my wound was really sore which didn't help. I ended up caving in and at midnight asked DH to just give him formula. I tried expressing but wasn't happening quick enough for him. So dad took over from 12 to 6 which meant I could catch up with sleep. Would have been fine but Cam projectile vomited up the 2 bottles so obv now not agreeing with him and just feel so guilty 😭😭😭xx

Zaalfruit · 15/10/2020 14:01

@Treacle81 don’t feel guilty ! It’s so strange I never felt mum guilt before and now I feel it . I can’t express a lot of have a lot of milk so I’m trying both .

About the projectile vomiting it might be because bottle formula makes them windy that’s what the health visitor told me and said I was over shaking the mixture ( who knew that could be a thing ) which is why Sophia wasn’t enjoying the milk now she much better .

I’m tired last night she wanted to curl on me all night. My arm strength is zero. Have they given you any pain killers? Omg and it’s so hard to express when they are upset it’s like the milk runs away .

Zaalfruit · 15/10/2020 14:02

On that note what pump are you using ?

Has everyone moved onto Facebook ? I don’t have one .

Treacle81 · 15/10/2020 14:59

Thanks @Zaalfruit I've calmed myself down and since given a expressed bottle and breastfed which he kept down so feel better. I highly recommend my pump, its just the medela manual single pump but v easy to wash and use. I think it's on sale in Amazon just now, I paid around £20 for it. Yea I take painkillers 3 times a day still. Just need to take it easy and rest when he is. Defo going to do that today. Lack of sleep as well as pain just put me over the edge last night. I think alot have moved over to the FB group, you could set one up just for the group alone? It's @BntTowers who kindly got us all on it. Just find it easier to keep up to date with things xx

FourPlasticRings · 15/10/2020 17:07

@Zaalfruit I've set up an account purely for this group- takes a couple of minutes and you can even use an alias if privacy is a concern. Come across! I'd been wondering where you were.

Zaalfruit · 15/10/2020 18:10

Ahh okay so I made an account don’t need to message @BntTowers I had Facebook back in uni like 10 years ago found it annoying .

Zaalfruit · 15/10/2020 18:12

Do I *

BntTowers · 15/10/2020 18:16

@Zaalfruit I can't add anyone to the group atm as I need a laptop and only have my phone, but I can send you a message with the name of the group which is searchable at the moment (will change this once we have everyone).

Not much happening here, pessary put in just before noon, just have increased back ache really. Might get the tens machine out before he goes. DH is only here until 8pm then he will either sit out in the car for a couple of hours or go back home to sleep of my contractions haven't really started.

LexiM · 15/10/2020 18:26

@BntTowers hope things start moving for you. Poor DH having to wait in the car, it's such a pain isnt it.

I'm still waiting here to see when baby comes. I am on the FB page but still coming on here as I know a couple dont have it so was updating until baby arrives!

SkyBlue20 · 15/10/2020 19:36

👋🏼 Hi everyone! Just popping on again to say congratulations on all of the babies! You all sound like superwomen 💕 For those of you still waiting, I hope babies arrive soon 🤞🏼 I’m constantly checking to see if anymore are here!

I won’t join the Facebook group as don’t think I’d have too much to contribute but am really enjoying hearing about the babies arriving and seeing the end of your pregnancy journeys - even though my journey was so different to yours, it makes me so happy to see your happy endings. I imagine most of you will migrate over there now so just wasted to say how grateful I am I got to spend those early months with you all, how I’ve really enjoyed popping back in and how happy I am for you all 💕

Coming up to 19 weeks over here and officially having a baby girl! Still struggling a bit with anxiety after my last pregnancy but hoping that will calm down after my 20 week scan and I can start getting excited. Bump is also coming along now, which is lovely but very strange - I keep thinking how big I am and also thinking how I’ll look back and laugh at myself thinking I was big at this stage 😂

Anyways, just wanted to say hi! Xx

Treacle81 · 15/10/2020 19:44

@SkyBlue20 Hi, great to hear from you. Congratulations on your little girl 💕it's only natural you have anxieties, hopefully this will reduce after your 2o week scan, not much longer to wait. I had a little boy Cameron by emergency c section on the 4th, still recovering from that but we are completely smitten. Glad to hear you are keeping well xx

Treacle81 · 15/10/2020 19:46

@BntTowers I hope you don't have much longer to wait and hubby will get to join you again soon 🤞💕😊xx

Zaalfruit · 15/10/2020 19:59

@SkyBlue20 hello and congratulations on having a baby girl 🥳 and you close to meeting the 20 week milestone .

( I miss being pregnant ) enjoy it and Mike every moment .

@BntTowers thank you - I think I have joined in the group now - feel really shy on Facebook no idea why. I’m hoping it moves further along for you quickly !! Back ache was the first sign for me . I got a tens machine when I was in pain I completely forgot about it 😂🤣 feel bad for all the dhs that have to sit outside. Fingers and toes crossed for you !

BntTowers · 15/10/2020 22:39

@Zaalfruit I'm using here for now, just to keep up with others who are still waiting. Will move onto Facebook more when baby arrives. Backache seems to have intensified since DH left. He's gone home.for some sleep instead of sitting in the car. We are only a 15 minute drive away so can be here super quick.

Really trying to sleep, but just can't seem to manage it. I thought some paracetamol might help but it's been an hour and hasn't taken the edge off.

@SkyBlue20 it's good to hear from you! Congratulations on finding out baby is a girl, I'm sure things will start to feel more settled once you've had your 20 week scan.

LostinAusten2 · 15/10/2020 23:31

Congratulations on finding out you’re having a baby girl @SkyBlue20💕 And I was anxious as well but getting past the 20 week scan is a huge milestone, very best wishes with it. And with little Jack here, can confirm the anxiety is 100% worth it ❤️ xx

Buzz22 · 16/10/2020 06:46

@SkyBlue20 congratulations! It's so lovely to hear from you...nearly 20 weeks yay!

I've been booked in for an induction today. Really wanted to avoid it. Was booked in yesterday and turned it down hoping a sweep would help thing progress and that I'd be given 48 hours to wait and see. Unfortunately consultant was not happy with my bump measuring small with static growth. They said no point in another growth scan, it's just safer to have baby in than out now.
Really hoping DP makes it's to the hospital. I know induction can be so variable in the length of time it takes. Had a sweep done anyway yesterday evening but still no sign of anything much happening.

LostinAusten2 · 16/10/2020 07:33

Good luck @Buzz22, thinking of you! x

FourPlasticRings · 16/10/2020 08:01

Good luck @Buzz22! Hope it all goes smoothly for you x
