Great news that things have calmed down cityangel and I hope you have a lovely break at christmas. All the waiting is hard isn;t it. I think these first few weeks are the toughest in terms of waiting because of the added anxiety and the fact you dont show yet and no-one really knows - it can feel a little lonely can't it. Hope the blues go soon... .
Brrrrr, fettle 10 or 11 degrees - Oh that sounds chilly - could you sneak off to your parents warm flat a little earlier? All this talk of what babies wear makes me think that maybe Theo is too warm - he wears a vest, slepsuit and a sleeping bag but his room never goes below 18 degrees - nice for me though when I need to feed him. By the way we are getting a new boiler in the new year and we are being quoted over £2k too.
Hope Marcy's bloody nose stops soon greedy? Theo has yet another bloody cold!! Grrrrrr, and didn't settle well again last night so in the end I just brought him into bed with me - out like a light!!!! - Do you think he's playing me for a fool . Anyway, gonne try saline drops tonight as he was obviously getting fed up feeding with a stuffed nose.
Hey Bodkin - how is the porrige going down??? Tho is doing really really well with his food and I think I need to be a bit more careful about how much he is taking. He's always pulling the spoon to his mouth which makes me think he's hungry - he always finished everything i've ever had out to give him. Can you over-feed a baby who gives indications that they want more??? This is a whole new territory for me as Max was a really fickle eater and still isn't fussed about food. By the way how was you time alone with Isla - was it fantastic!!!
Hi Honeyapple - Sorry to hear Dex was unsettled - any idea why? Maybe it was just one of those times when Dad just isn't the same. Good that you had a good time though! ooh, 6 hours in the car!!! When will you be leaving? We could only ever do that sort of journey in the evening as Max would be far too fidgety and pissed off. How will you manage when Dex needs to be fed? - Sorry Mr Honeyapple, but you are being a meanie . I drove both boys back from my mums (2 hrs away) on my own recently and we left at 6pm which was ideal but Theo cried and cried until gone 7pm. It was so frustrating - I had to pull over a couple of times to comfort him but it was wasn't ideal in the dark on the A1.
By the way has anyone come across babymad on here recently?
Enjoy you 2 weeks at home Firsty! It'll be lovely to have all that family time... Well done Ty for getting a few good sleeps in. Funnily enough I've been putting Theo to bed a little earlier than I normally do and for some reason he's settling so much easier and sleeping better. I think maybe I was letting him get too over-tired before I put him down.
Hey Mrs!!! MATERNITY LEAVE!!!! You must be so so pleased to be saying good bye to work - hopefully for good there . Enjoy the first few days of knowing that there is no more work to go back to after Christmas - hope you aren't too stressed though.
Right, my standard 40 mins are up with Theo sleeping so I'll head off in anticipation of the familiar squeaks. Dh has taken DS1 to the hairdressers for his xmas haircut and so the house is (at the moment) lovely and quiet.... Aaaahhhhh...
Love to all and hope you are all winding down to enjoy Christmas and not flying around trying to get everything done.
