RahRah1 · 09/11/2007 20:22

Hi Fettle - I have sent to an email about the cuddle dry.

Honey - can't see any pics I'm afraid

greedy - your pic's are very cute She just beautiful.

RahRah1 · 09/11/2007 20:44

MrsMcJnr - I can't remember which email address it is. Is your name A.M??

Chooster · 09/11/2007 21:06

Hi - not got long but very pleased to see that we have a more settled Isla and Toby Well done LO's . So, Bodkin, do you reckon Isla just didn't like the bigger nappy or do you think she was feeling wet? Intersting that she is a bit chirpier.

Iampg - So sorry to hear about your DP's friend. That must have been so shocking . I presume he's only in his early twenties? I hope your DP is doing OK with the news. Am still puzzled by your tennant .

Lovely lovely pics Greedy!!! But couldn't see yours Honey . Can't wait to see Dexter .

So whats a cuddle dry blanket??? I'm always in the market for buying new things Much to my DH's annoyance

Hi Mrs!!!! As the others have said dont worry about what you may not know yet. While it is nice to know some the basics, your labour will be unique to you, and you body will just know what to do . Its you next isn't it

I'm off to bed now, DS2 was an angel last night - fed at 4am then settled again quickly and woke at 7.30am. DS1 however was a right pain!!!! up at 5.30am He must have been through to my room about 4 or 5 times again and each time I put him back. Grrrrrrrr.......... I had a right strop most of the morning . ALl better now but knackered.

greedygreedyguzzler · 09/11/2007 22:03

shallow grave bodders! thats what i thought too!!!
marcy is definately happier naked too!!! as soon as i take her nappy off and let her kick about she seems to stop grizzling and she wears disposables anyway so islas grumpiness might not be related to the reusables.

fettle - marcy still seems to sleep loads too! she has slept for about 6 or 7 hours today and i have tried everything to wake her up! maybe they are just babies that need more sleep.................i am anticipating a bad night which will be a shame cos the last 3 nights she ahas been a superstar! i will let you know tomorrow!

mrs - your posts are always so thorough! you really ARE lovely!!! i would hardly say me and dh are rampant rabbits! just the one shag so far.....thats all!!! and i told him i wouldnt normally feel up for it when i am so tired but i felt like it was a milestone we had to overcome!!!! it was fab though, don't get me wrong!! my dh is SO not fussy.....he doesn't care how fat i get or if i am 9 months pg or if i had my head replaced by a sheeps.........................nothing puts him off! i think sometimes i am just an orifice to him!!! i am sure your dh will soon get back into it, as will yours iampg. loads of men go off sex when wives are pg dont they? i think if i was a bloke i might too.

shit! just read about your dps bf iampg. so sorry to hear that. how upsetting for you both. dont really know what else to say, sorry.

chooster - its tough having more than one isn't it? what are the chances of ever getting a whole nights undisturbed sleep again hey?!!! if its not one its the other (or the other, in my case!!) actually (and i know this is tempting fate, but what the hell!) my big two have n't been disturbed at all by marcy or woken up at all in the night since she has been born apart from when dd1 had tonsilitis and a fever and when ds1 had a nightmare about snakes!!!..................how shit is my night going to be now hey?!!! i will have them all awake at once wont i?!!!

cant see your pics either honey............why not just put them up for a few days and then get rid of them?

iampgatlast · 10/11/2007 14:57

hi ladies...

i know where you all are...cuddling your gorgeous little babies

im so bored cooped up all in one room while dp works away downstairs. he has taken the news pretty well probably in shock i imagine.

80th birthday last night turned out to be quite a late one we got chatting to two gay professors - they were fascinating full of knowledge!

i suppose being naked for your babies is the most natural thing so it doesnt suprise me they are happier like that but how would you cope with a boy? surely they cant just lay there starkers as thats asking for trouble?!

greedy - your dh sounds perfect! he must so totally be in love with you

you all had your fsab quite soon (probably real personal question) is this because you didnt tear? people i have chatted to have left it for months before even attempting it because of tears/cuts.

i have another strange/tmi question my nipples seem to gather white flakes/skin in between the gaps - is this normal?! i find myself picking it out because it just irritates me. dp says its dried milk but surely not?!

well im just rambling so il get off now hope you all have good weekends xxx

firststar - hope your firstday back at work isnt too painful and emotional for you il be thinking of you xxxx

Chooster · 10/11/2007 17:43

So how was your night then Greedy??? Hope all 3 were well behaved! You are right, a full night's sleep is year away . Never mind eh! Well done for getting back in the saddle so to speak - we started sex quite soon too but its really tailed off. It must have been at least 2 weeks I'd guess since we had any action .

Glad you enjoyed the party Iampg - sounds like you had a good time. It must be grim wiht your house being so upside-down, but at least its moving in the right direction. Not sure what those white flecks are? I dont think I had anything similar but I'm sure someone else will be along soon who can help!!! Have a good rest of your weekend. Hope DP is still doing OK...

Just got to say that DS1 has been doing my F*ing head in all day . Everything has been a battle and he's just been naughty for no reason. Its been pising me off and I've spent most of the day trying not to shout at him. DH hasnt been helping much as his patience is VERY thin when DS is like this. Grrrrr - not long til he is in bed. I've had to escape dinner time (so naturally escaped to M'net before I lost the plot .

Anyway, I think I'll venture back down now - wish me luck!

greedygreedyguzzler · 11/11/2007 08:46

chooster my ds had been doing my head in for the past few days too and i couldn't figure out why he was being so naughty when hes normally so good. well, he came down with a horrible cold yesterday (which marcy has too!!!............cold no.2 for her!) i think there is normally a reason why they play up if they are normally good. my ds plays up if he gets tired, so this cold has made hime extra tired.........maybe your ds is coming down with something?

my night was fine the night before last, but last night i just COULDN'T sleep. nothing to do with the kids, they were all fine.....i was just lying there thinking "get to sleep, get to sleep....only a few hours till morning" but i couldn't for some reason. so today i am KNACKERED!!!

iampg - i had that nipple thing too!!! i dont think its dried milk. i think you will know when you start producing milk. and your other personal question................i tore with ds and we attempted sex 2 wks after he was born, but it was too painful. so we managed theweek after that. think it was still painful but i was determined not to let this tiny little baby take over every aspect of my life!!! you will know when you feel ready though.......but i do think the longer you leave it the easier it is to keep on leaving it!!!

have a great sunday everyone

seaside72 · 11/11/2007 08:49

Hi all - Sorry have not been around - router and broadband connection have died guess that is the price you pay for being a bit remote - we get sporadic pockets of service but everytime I begin to write a big post it gives up. So am going to try and write one in word and then just copy and paste.

Thinking of you all and hoping to catch up later - hopefully have an engineer coming out in the week to "fix" us - fingers crossed.

Hi All

PILs have left - hurrah!!!!!!!!!!!11 Oh, I'm awful, as they are really good to have as PILs, but I find it so draining having them here. But think I'm just tired - 7 weeks of sleepless nights catching up on me!

anyway....

Firsty - so hope you're first day back is ok - can't believe it's come around so quickly - really doesn't seem that long ago that you were announcing your BFP!! Give Ty lots of extra big cuddles and a work day isn't very long and he'll be home waiting for more cuddles and kisses when you get back!!

My DD is turning into a demonic DD too, everyone in RL I know who has similar aged children and a recent birth are saying the same thing. i think despite that fact that Toby's birth hasn't outwardly affected her, she is reacting in some ways. She certainly seems to have so much more energy than normal at the moment!

Honey - don't think the friends only option works unfortunately, as I tried that with my photos at first too. Hope Dexter is still a very chilled out baby.

My little Toby is not so chilled out as he was in the beginning, but I'm beginning to realise that his screaming during feeding generally means that he's tired and he wants to suck to go to sleep, so dummy in and he's happy!! (took a while to realise this as he'd generally only just woken up from a 4 hour nap! Obviously a very sleeepy baby!!).

Iampg - sorry to hear about your Dp's friend. I was worried about naked time with Toby too, but now I sit with him, with a towel at the ready to catch any waterfall/fountain which may occur!! he is certainly really happy for atime while without a nappy, so definitely worth doing.

Chooster - hope DS1 was better today, but as i've said DD is more naughty than normal currently -hopefully it will settle down for us all too! A cuddle-dry blanket is this really soft, organic cotton towel that you wear like an apron while bathing baby. You can then lift baby out of the bath and wrap the towel/apron around him, unfasten the velcro around your neck and hey presto your baby is safely and warmly wrapped up in a towel, without all the usual faffing needing 6 pairs of hands! Quite expensive though really compared with normal towels, but a good present for someone really - although I am really tempted to get one for me, as they are really soft!!

rah - thanks for your e-mail - will respond soon!

Hi Seaside - good to hear from you - frustrating about the internet connection - hope you get it sorted soon. How's the bump growing going?

Hi Mrs - hope life less hectic next week! Physio class sounds great! And forgot to say that that dress looks absolutely gorgeous - why get a camisole - flaunt it while you've got it, I always say!!!

toby is waking so have to go now - will try and upload some better pictures this evening.

Firsty ? Thinking of you hon ? good luck for first day back at work. I know it will be so hard but you will get through it. Soon the days will be flying past and the weekends will be lovely. Don?t talk to me about pelvic floors ? we do exercises in yoga and I already know that mine are crap now ? so heaven knows what they will become I cannot squeeze them and breathe at the same time!! TMI ? sorry. Hope hair settles down - I am sure it actually looks gorgeous

Honey ? Birth sound fab and so chilled ? well done you Dexter is a great name ? I love names with X?s and Z?s ? He will be one cool little man with a name like that Hope boobs have calmed down

Fettle ?Well done for figuring out the screaming and for being the perfect DIL My friend has a cool DVD which is supposed to teach you the ?language? of baby sceams! It is quite funny but also seems spookily accurate Sorry to hear about demonic DD!! Hope she soon goes back to being angelic You are a BF dynamo!! OK I think we need an updated Toby pic to go with Theo and Marcy.

Iampg ? So sorry about DP?s friend ? how awful and so sad. It may just be my preg hormones hearing about anything like that feels different now I am to be a mummy IYKWIM. Not that it did not affect me before but just all seems to have a deeper meaning now?? Rambling I know Also how awful about your tenant That is the stuff of my nightmares ? luckily my current 2 sets of tenants seem good but it just shows you never can tell. Totally sympathise with the depression about building work. My renovation project is at that crap stage where everyone loses interest and things aren?t getting finished and now we haev also started work in our house to make the nursery and a new office/spare room and the house is in chaos. I had a total meltdown yesterday. It is so unsettling all this upheaval ? we have stuff everywhere and all I want to do is tidy up and nest ? make the nursery etc but I can?t ? grrrrrr 80th birthday party sounds like my kind of party!!!

MrsMc ? How is your baby research going ? any news or advice on baby equipment to impart? BTW which monitor are you getting? All advise gratefully received!! You woud be proud of me - I finally got on the case last week too and ordered the buggy, cot and changing unit (gotta love the internet when it works!!!) and we also had a spree in Ikea to buy a daybed, rug and chest of drawers. Feeling suitably broke now ? but luckily my Mum and Dad offered to pay for the buggy and cot so that was fab. Ikea stuff all in boxes until work is done and baby equipment is being held for us at the store and they will deliver when we are ready. I have also gone spreadsheet crazy as usual in an effort to make myself feel more organised in the midst of actual chaos so at least I know what we have left to buy and from where a best price etc. Also made a BABY file all indexed with hospital bag list, notes etc ? I love filing and organising ? but sometimes I think that if I spent as much time doing rather than planning I would be better off ? Oh well can?t teach an old dog new tricks!! Glad your physio class was good. Love that IO dress- I nearly bought it for the wedding I have to go to in Dec but got one from another shop called Baby Ceylon (bit Ghosty with crepey type fabric that strectches) ? which I really like and will hopefully still fit in a month
Also ? don?t worry about the labour knowledge ? we will learn and have a couple of months left to do it in. DH and I just started AN classes this week and we also start NCT next week so hopefully will feel more informed after those. DH has suddenly got really interested in getting up to speed on labour and birth too which helps. Plus every labour is diff really so all you can possibly get is guidance. We will all be fine I am sure

Chooster ? Hope Theo?s ear infection is getting better. He looks so gorgeous in those photos ? a proper little boy Sounds like the demonic toddlers are causing you all probs. I can only imagine how hard it is with 2 or 3 or even 4

Rainbowdays ?Hope you are doing OK away from home hon. How are the kicks coming? BTW - Ready told me about your "secret" job actually it does sound really interesting

Greedy ? Well done being a sex goddess and super Mum all rolled into one!! Actually my DH and I have avoided it most of pg ? Although I really do want to have one last go before Dave arrives as I am scared it will never be the same again. DH seems pretty chilled about it luckily. Ouch about tearing ? I know it is a reality but that the bit I am dreading most. Hope you get some good sleep tonight hon Pics are gorgeous by the way ? Marcy is a doll

Bodkin ? Another new gorgous pic Well done for bing such a green goddess of nappies ? but don?t beat yourself up about using disposables ? Have you looked at the Moltex ones ? a bit of a compromise I know.

Rah ? Hi hon if you are still around ? I just bought a cuddledry last week! They are lovely. Would love your friends website details to have a browse ? wold rather buy from friends? friends and support new business! ? Will try and get them from one of the girls ? if not and you see this and have a mo email me the link seaside72atgmaildotcom.

Everything else is OK here except crap broadband and chaos ? Oh and complete stress over my development work - budgets spiralling out of control ? arghhh ? Sarah Beeny would have my guts for garters. If I think about it all too much - property crash, interest rises, unfinished building work ? I have a complete panic attack ? so best not to think about it I say!! Needless to say I am pretty stressed and wishing I could stick my head in the sand and just be pregnant and do nice things like shop for baby stuff (can you tell I was n avoidance mode last week with all my shopping ) but that?s real life I guess Anyway Dave seems fine ? I am really starting to feel the limitations now ? bit breathless, Ooffing everytime I stand up or bend down. Achey back etc. But he is wriggling away so hopefully all is fine. Now the movements make me wince sometimes, quite shocking and sudden and really off-putting ? no longer just cute kicks but whole belly palpitations!
BTW experinced ones - how do you know which way baby is lying??I have no idea but worried he is breach as most of kicks seems dow in pelvis but then I guess they coukd be punches!? Will the MW tell me?? I am 30 weeks today but still have not had my 28 week appt or tests but have mw appt on Wednesday so should have them then I guess? Still no idea where we will have him but hopefully will become more informed over next few weeks.

Sorry this is so long ? that?s what you get for doing it in Word and cut and paste Will endeavour to be a more regular, but less mammoth poster as soon as internet is back on track

Hope everyone had a good Sunday

Waves to anyone else out there ? Buggymad, KitKat, Ready? Have I forgotten anyone?? - sorry.

PS - Think we need an update of due dates and births?? I will try but will prob get it cock-a-hoop. Shall we start one that everyone can add to and then complie it at beginning of our next thread??

aw Fettle your little boy is LOVELY!!! And as say very pale and not yellow at all . What a cutie.. DD looks very proud and happy too. Its funny, whats going on with our toddlers . You are right about the cold Greedy, DS1 has had a cold for about a week now and added to that he has ben getting up ridiculously early so I think the combination is just making him play up. He also seems to have a huge amount of energy too Fettle... He just wont sit still and play the way he's always played. He needs to be jumping on things (or someone [hmm) and just generally raising merry hell!!! Anyway, am sure it'll calm down soon. I was wondering if some of it was a bit of a delayed reaction to Theo's arrival as its quite attention seeking.

Speaking of Theo he is in his own room for the first time tonight . I'm kind of sad because I'll miss him but happy too as I know he's ready. I'll have the monitor up full blast tonight . Thanks for asking about his ears... We are off to the doctor tomorrow to make sure it's all gone. Fingers crossed! He definately seems very settled though. I also tried a bottle with expressed milk tonight but he was still having none of it . Oh well...

Great long post from you Seaside!!! Sorry you a bit stressed - like you say just dont think about it all too much . Will things be a little calmer when Dave arrives? I really hope so... And well done for getting your goodies bought

GOOD LUCK TOMORROW FIRSTY!!! Hope it goes well.. I'll be thinking of you xx

Anway best go, DH is wanting to show me something downstairs - the mind boggles

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/11/2007 12:59

chooster - hope theos first night in his own room was ok. i def get more sleep with marcy in her own room. sometimes she cries out and i cant be arsed to rush straight up to her and then she has gone back to sleep before i get a chance to get any milk for her. and i dont get woken by all her snuffling around either! hope ds1 is calmer today1!!...........what did dh have to show you? anything exciting???

seaside - i am SORRY, but there is NO WAY in the world you can possible be 30 wks!!!!!!! you MUST have got it wrong!!! wasn't it just a few weeks ago that i got hugely excited about your BFP!!!??? Dave is going to stick you know!!!

firsty - hope your first day back is ok and not too upsetting for you

fettle - toby sounds as sleepy as marcy!!! she doesnt really seem to do a lot apart from sleep or feed or cry at the mo! ( not sure eactly what i am expecting from her!!!! dance routines, a few songs maybe!!) i cant enjoy her sleeping though cos i am constantly harrasing her and trying to wake her up so that she sleeps at night.............i think she is going to grow to hate me for disturbing her all the time. gorgeous photos by the way, whats the passport for? where are you off to???!.....can i come?

honeyapple · 12/11/2007 14:26

Hiya...

Annoying about the photos, I might try and contact someone on MN about it... I mean what is the point of having a box to tick to say viewable to only MN friends, if it doesnt work .

Dexter is still pretty chilled out...slept a good 4 hrs in a row last night, so I really can't complain, even if he does take FOREVER to feed at the moment. Cant believe he is 1 week old today .

I had a bit of fresh bleeding today, think I have been overdoing it a bit... so have just stayed in today and watched TV. Going to pick up DS soon though.

I am trying to catch up on everyone's news, but you all seem to be so busy!

Firsty- hope work goes well today and you dont miss Ty too much. I am sure he will have been having fun with his granny.

Seaside- 30wks! Congratulations, I agree with Greedy- where has the time gone? Oh yeah, I was making a baby too!

Bodders- how was Isla in her own room? Dex will be in with us until we move house (if/when) as there is nowhere else for him to go. But he isnt very noisy, infact I keep waking up cos he is so quiet .

Chooster- my DD is being a bit of a pain in the bum at the moment too- which is fair enough with Dexter's arrival. But it is very draining. She has become very opinionated about everything, nothing seems simple with her at the moment- from choosing breaskfast to having her hair plaited. She always finds something to complain and whinge about.

I just booked a church hall for DD's bday though which is great- now I can get around to thinking about that. It's only a few weeks away- even Xmas is coming up soon... ahahhahhahahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Hi to everyone else... xx

iampgatlast · 12/11/2007 19:06

hi ladies

greedy - im glad you had that nipple thing too and im not a freak!! did it go away after you gave birth? its not too bad lately. i have noticed stretch marks appearing now some deep red ones that dp noticed on the top backs of my legs and i have 3 about 1cm long on my belly but they are white atthe minute
how awful that the night you get the opportunity to sleep - you cant~! hope you catch up on some zzzzzzzss soon.

firstar - sorry about the hair disaster - are they going to put it right for free?! hope your day at work was ok but i hope coming home was even better i dont think ive seen either of them films that you mentioned. now we are going to have an empty property for a few months with a hefty mortgage, dp hasnt got the time to do the place up as that would mean time lost on our place which we simply cannot allow right now as i have changed my birth plans. i suggested the police but he said they would do even more damage investigating the property so he is just going to leave it.

fettle - glad your house is back to normal with the pils going. its always so much work having visitors isnt it, i dont know about your family but when mine or dps are round its like you have to play the role of a perfect host. sorry about your "demonic" daughter, it must take some adjusting for littleones who dont quite udnerstand that now they have to share mummies and daddies time with them. im sure she will settle down soon.toby is soooo gorgeous, what playmat or sheet is that in the background? looks similar to the playmat i have brought for oscar

seaside - massive post!!!! your fingers must be numb after all that typing! i know what you mean about hormones, everything is 10 times more emotional or tragic. i am literally crying at most things now (even had a little sob on the phone to bt the other day) iam soo not a crying person either. i really sympathise with you on living in total mayhem and whatever you tidy - it still looks a mess or theres dust everywhere, hopefully in 5 weeks we should be nearly there with the downstairs, when do you think your rennovations will be done? im so feeling your pregnancy symptoms, breathlessness and the ridicualous art of trying to bend which is literally impossible!! oscar loves kicking right underneath my ribcage but i wouldnt change anything for the world i love it!! hope you get the info you need at your next appt xx

honey - hope the bleeding settles down, you have been supermum on overdrive since dexter was born. time to chill out and rest and enjoy your baby xxxx

we had the tour of our hospital last night - we walked into the delivery room and my heart raced and i started to shake, it was like a torture chamber! and the other rooms didnt improve much either. The whole place was stuffy and cramped but the most horrifying of all is that its 1 midwife to 3 women in labour the midwife even admitted that they are so short staffed. i am going with my original plan now which i got talked out of, having a home birth. dp agreed he thinks it is the safer option especially after my reaction of walking into the delivery room.
so ladies who have given birth at home (i have already started a thread on this) any tips? opinions on waterbirth? where to hire a pool?
i just need to smooth this all over with my midwife now, its not the fear of labour and pain that scares me its the thought of giving birth in that hospital. i would be a nervous wreck before even starting contractions which isnt good.

well im off to buy a kfc now mmmmmmmmm

xxxx

Bodkin · 12/11/2007 20:43

Have totally forgotton what everyone has said, but will try as best I can!

Firsty - how was your first day back? Bet you're shattered! Did you get a good night last night?

Iampg - that is brilliant that you have decided to go for a homebirth! I can't recommend it highly enough - and I'm sure Honeyapple will agree! Whereabouts are you again? - is it London? I remember having a tour of St. Mary's in Paddington and thinking the exact same thing - luckily we moved to Dorset just in time!

Fettle - Toby is adorable - love his cool stripey little t-shirt as well...! Glad to hear you've sussed the screaming - been trying to get Isla to take a dummy again today but she is having absolutely none of it, the stubborn creature. She kind of slurps on her fingers a bit, but I think it's more of a teething thing than actually comforting her.

Greedy - Aw, poor Marcy, all she wants is a bit of peace and quiet I'm sure she'll sleep fine in the night even if she naps loads in the day at this stage in the game.

Seaside - sounds like very well organised chaos though! Re baby's position - even if it is breech at the mo - plenty of time to turn. Ask MW at your next appt to feel position if you're worried - but there's loads you can do to get baby in a good position - search through some old threads on here and you'll see loads of stuff - even standing in the dark and shining a torch up your fanjo (I kid you not )

Chooster - how was Theo in his own room last night? Hope you're not too black and blue from DS1s boisterous play!

Honeyapple - can't believe that's a week ago already! Isla was in her own room from about 3 weeks old - i hadn't planned it that way, but she hated the moses basket and the cot was already assembled in her room next door. I was a bit worried at first, but it was fine - she slept really well to start with.... distant memory now though - she seems keen on 2am and 5am [knackered]

Hi MrsMc

Bodkin · 12/11/2007 20:45

Oh yeah, Iampg - I had the nipple thing too - I just assumed it was a bit of dried milk, as it can start leaking a bit from quite early on in the pregnancy.

honeyapple · 13/11/2007 10:32

Morning-

Well somehow DP turned the alarm off this morning- and so DC where rather late for school... ho hum... I was feeding Dexter thinking- I wonder what the time is, it seems a bit later than usual- and it was 08.30- which is when DC have to leave the house. I think DS was quiet happy watching TV and pretending he knew nothing of the time!
The last couple of nights I have got Dexter to sleep about 11pm- and then he wakes about 3am- and then again in the morning, which is FAB! Although still feeling pretty shattered.

Iampg- oh yes a home birth! Good idea- some hospitals are scary arent they. I had 2 MW with me and a student MW. The care was brilliant. I hope your local MW are as supportive of HB as they are here. I didnt bother with a pool and TBH I dont think I would have fancied it. They arent terribly expensive to hire- about £100, but seeing as I was 10 days overdue I would have had the thing in my house for ages... and the only room big enough would have been the kitchen.

Right, going to do an online shop now as cant face the supermarket. Also am trying to do not so much to help my body heal. Slightly annoying as I have lots of things I want to do though .

rainbowdays · 13/11/2007 11:13

Hi all, I am back from my wonderful weekend with my children, it was fantastic to spend time with them. When I got there on Friday, they just wanted to have cuddles all the time, it was wonderful. My lovely ds did do some crying on Monday morning when told I had to leave after dinner, but when I actually came to leave he turned round and gave me a big grin and said bye bye mummy, see you soon. So I did not feel quite so bad.

I have only had a chance to skim read recent posts, so I am sorry if this is a brief hello to everyone, I hope I will catch up soon.

Iampg - I am getting the bit of leaky dried milk thing, but more annoying at this stage I get dry flaky skin around the nipple, which is annoying too.

Seaside - hi! I never could work out whether I was getting punches or kicks to tell which way up the baby was, but I have with time got a bit better at telling whether the baby is backto back or bottom out! My lo still has plenty of room to move so I get very sporadic kicks still, mainly in the afternoons. So I am enjoying the knowing all is ok without the discomfort stage. I will have to tell Ready off for letting my "secret" out of the bag to you

Firsty - how was your first day back at work, ok I hope.

It is great to hear that the LO's in the big world here are giving all you mummy's a little more sleep at the moment, long may it last.
got to get back to work so will catch everyone else later.....

MrsMcJnr · 13/11/2007 15:33

Hey ladies here to catch up, hear goes

Iampg how awful about DP?s BF! I am so sorry. Sorry about the flat too, it really is so odd, have you googled to try and work out what they were doing there?! I know exactly what you mean about the nipples, I couldn?t have described it better, I?ve been carrying breast pads for weeks just in case I leak but I haven?t yet! Sorry to hear about the stretch marks, I?ve upped my oiling routine to morning and night now. I?m scared about the tour of the labour ward, I hate medical things and think that it?ll look like a torture chamber too ? I told DH that I want to stay at home until I?m at least 8 cms and then it?ll be too late for them to do much to me. I would love a home birth but think I?d be unwise given my blood issues

Firsty ? thinking of you hon and hoping it?s going ok thanks for all your wise words, I had fun at the Christening, I might have looked like a ribena berry but it was the most attractive I?ve felt for ages. That film you are thinking of was Pacific Heights I think ? I think Mealnie Griffith was in it but I can?t remember who the two blokes were.

Honeyapple ? hope Dexter remains a good sleeper! Tell me it?s the nest making all the difference! can?t see your photos My sis had had her water birth in the kitchen ? no curtains either!

RahRah ? yup I am AM! If I don?t hear from you by Thurs when I am working from home, I?ll email you howz the house?

Chooster ? hey you, will text soon, it?s been too long! sorry to hear DS1 is giving you a hard time. You are not alone; most of my friends with little ones are finding the older ones really wilful and hard work at the mo what a big boy Theo is being in his own room, does that mean DH is back with you?

Greedy Marcy sounds like such a great baby, hope I am going to get one like that LOL at your DH?s lust Had our first AN class yesterday (only 4 ladies and doubt they?ll want to be pals with me ) MW put a selection of topics on the floor on pieces of paper and we had to choose which ones we?d talk about at each session, there was one with ?resuming sexual activity? and for a laugh I suggested we put that in the agenda for the post natal meet up in March ? no one laughed apart from DH!! Hope you are seeing more of DH these days

Seaside ? how annoying for you with that connection fab long post I have nearly finished my research only have monitors, playmats and slings to do a bit more work on but mostly there happy to help anyway I can my ?to buy? list is actually quite short now. LOL you sound so like me, I have spreadsheets and files and best price/eBay win/lose spreadsheets too! I washed the first batch of Beanie?s clothes yesterday and hung them on the line and took a photo for the baby book ? it was too cold to dry them though and I had to put all the stuff in the dryer, first time I?ve ever used it. Really that your DH is getting interested ? mine is going to be bored with the whole subject as for the next few weeks we have NCT 10-4 on Sundays, NHS AN classes 2-4 Mondays and then he has Dads 2 B 8-10 Mondays! Talk about overkill! I excused him from the NHS AN classes but he wants to come (at the mo!). I am also going to 3 sessions of self hypnosis, it was free so I thought, why not?! Beanie?s kicks are getting quite severe now and I know what you mean about the offing and ahhing my baby is lying head down with its back to the left at the mo and I feel the kicks low and mid way on the right, I guess Beanie is virtually folded in half

Fettle I think you are a Saint to have the PIL to stay when you have a new baby, I?ve told DH no way! Hope DD stops playing up soon. LOL I did employ the services of a safety pin with the dress, I am no stranger to flaunting the assets but they are rather a lot larger than usual .. and a bit veiny Toby looks so so cute ? what lovely big eyes, DD looks lovely too and so proud!

Bodkin hello

Hey Rainbowdays ahh glad you had a lovely time at home.

Hello All

Great to hear that everything is still going well Honey - sorry that you are not healing too well - it's only been a week, don't be too hard on yourself!

Rainbowy - glad you had a good weekend at home with your children - must have been heartbreaking to leave them. Not long til Christmas now, or are you seeing them before then. Glad that your little baby is moving so reassuringly for you - how many weeks are you now? I'm losing count. Who suggested an updated list, I'm all for it, as I can't remember how many weeks everyone is, or how many weeks old all these babies are now! Kitkat's Joe must be at University by now!!

Chooster - how was Theo in his own room? I don't want to even think about movign Toby - he is such a quiet sleeper compared with DD, so I often have to check his breathing! He still fits in his moses basket (not much spare room, but enough!). As we are going away over Christmas (skiing to France, Greedy since you ask!), there doesn't seem much point trying to get him to settle in his own room, then disrupt him for 2 weeks, so we'll try after we get back! Besides as he is very likely to be our last little baby, I want to enjoy these first few baby weeks as much as possible!!! Hope Theo's ear infection has gone completely - poor little boy!

Bodders - how's Isla? Any more smiley time or still a bit grizzly? Toby seems to have taken a dummy a bit too well for my liking, but still likes to boob feed, thank goodness. Must take him to be weighed next week though, as he really feeds very quickly during the day before he falls asleep or starts screaming, so just want to be certain that he is getting enough.

Greedy - how's sleepy Marcy? Toby just can't seem to be awake for longer than 1-1.5hours before he wants to go back to sleep! Which is good I suppose, but I worry that he won't be mentally developing and taking things in if he is asleep very much - having said that he is sat next to DD on the sofa watching Nina and the Neurons as I write this bad mummy that I am, but at least it is educational!!

Mrs - how you doing? I'm sure I'll have crossed with you by the time I write this and you're catching up as I write!

Seaside - hope your internet connection is getting better? Miss you really long posts!!!

Iampg - how is DP? Any more news on the tenant, or has she disappeared completely?!

Got to dash - Toby crying and DD wants supper!!!

xxx
