Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

Hi @Griffer and @hollywhooo. So sorry to hear of your worrying symptoms @Sophi123. Hoping the bleeding stops. You do hear of people who bleed a fair amount on and off and still have good outcomes. I just had a terrible night of insomnia. That is so unlike me, I can normally sleep for Britain no matter what. My husband was so tired too as he had a long shift yesterday. I must have gone to the loo six times in the night! Insane. He’s grumpily gone off to walk the dogs now... I’m shattered. What a joyous new symptom!

SurpriseNo2 · 20/09/2020 08:28

Hi ladies m, ive been reading your posts for about a week now. I have a beautiful girl after 4 years ttc conceived by IVF. She’s 1 on a few weeks. About 10 days ago I was late so tested to my shock it was positive. Never been pregnant naturally before. Then the anxiety comes rushing in. The daily tests..,, then my clear blue got stuck on 2-3 😩 my gyne gave me a referral to the epu as she gave me progesterone and it’s unsafe to feed a non viable pregnancy progesterone or if its eptopic etc. I went to the epu on Friday and she bloody agreed the non progression on the clear blue was bad. NOT WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR!!! Anyway we started the scan. She saw the sac and yolk sac which apparently is normal for 5 1/2 weeks. Now the antagonising wait for the Friday to hopefully see a heartbeat. I have one more digital left, not sure when to do it??!! I hate how stressful the first bit of pregnancy is. I also have ZERO symptoms. Like nada! Last time I felt so sick all the time from 5 weeks to 11 weeks. Anyone else not feel pregnant at all at 6 weeks?

leftitlate37 · 20/09/2020 08:41

Oh wow @SurpriseNo2 that's amazing! Congrats!!! Put the test down, do not use it! If one thing has come from reading these posts is that no good will come of using these right now!! Think u should hide it....dont bin it as cost a load haha..best of luck and everything crossed for later in the week!!
I've got really sore boobs but where it hurts changes, but otherwise I think everything could be explained away...so yeah there is defo that worry, but everything says all people are diff and not everyone gets symptoms so let's all just keep positive!!

SurpriseNo2 · 20/09/2020 08:47

Thank you @leftitlate37 you are so right! I don’t need negativity in my life from a test! Also have to stop comparing to my last pregnancy. Hahhaa love the comment to not bin it. The amount of money spent on tests is crazy 😜
Thank you for the support. So hard when you can tell many people. X

Griffer · 20/09/2020 08:50

Yes, the insomnia! I didn't get it until near term, but had it really bad up until she was maybe 6 months old.
My DD woke pretty much every hour after midnight and I couldn't fall asleep in between. Sometimes she'd sleep until 2am and I'd just be lying awake waiting for her to wake up. Then would finally get to sleep around 4:30 for her to wake for the day around 5:30.
I ended up paying £50 for one of those apps that help you get to sleep, which made a big difference. I'm using it again at the moment and it's helping now too.

Romanticrights · 20/09/2020 08:53

Hi everybody! I got my BFP on Tuesday, so think I am around 5 weeks now. This will be my second, my little girl is 2 in November. This was a complete shock and we have been using contraception so was not expecting it, so still a bit unsure how to feel! Nausea has already set in... so glad I found this thread though! Grin

LittleTiger007 · 20/09/2020 09:00

Wow @SurpriseNo2 his wonderful arhat you conceived naturally after ivf! Def don’t test, wait for that scan.
Welcome @Romanticrights congratulations! How odd that you were on contraception too. At least you realised early on.
Lots of May babies!

Cafeaulait27 · 20/09/2020 12:19

Hey guys, I’ve still got brown discharge. Had very light pink spotting early in the week after straining a poo out (sorry for TMI, I’m very constipated right now!) and then after sex yesterday got brown discharge which is still going on.

That scan tomorrow evening can’t come soon enough!

Spotting at around 6 weeks seems to be quite common, or am I imagining that?

Elking18 · 20/09/2020 15:00

Hi everyone, mind if I join? I got my BFP a week ago and EDD of 25th May 2021! This is my first pregnancy so I am being super paranoid all the time, thinking of booking in for an early scan at about 8 weeks to try to put my mind at rest. Will be so good to be part of a group going through this at the same time, looking forward to getting to know you all!

Nurserycottages · 20/09/2020 15:07

@Elking18 congratulations!! It's my first too and I keep wondering if it will ever feel real 😂 How are you feeling in yourself? I'm thinking of booking an early scan as don't think I can wait till 12 weeks xx

Elking18 · 20/09/2020 15:10

@Nurserycottages thank you! Congrats to you too! I know it doesn't feel real at all for me either, just hoping I have a sticky bean! I felt a bit nauseous for the past week, but doesn't seem too bad today, and super tired all the time! How about you?

LittleTiger007 · 20/09/2020 15:26

@Cafeaulait27 brown discharge is def a normal symptom. Hopefully your scan will reassure you.
Welcome @Elking18 this is my first too (and for many of us) we are mostly all going through the paranoid stage and so it’s good that we can reassure each other and talk each other down from our worry! I’m thinking about booking an early scan too for about 8 wks. My due date is 24th May. At least with a private scan my husband can come too. Being pregnant during covid is not cool when it comes to appointments and having to go on our own. I had a miscarriage back in June at 8 weeks and so getting past that milestone will be good.

Griffer · 20/09/2020 15:28

As someone who is pregnant with their second, I can confirm that it never does feel real. Even when you have a child in your arms. I still can't believe I have a child nearly 18 months on! But that might just be me.

UnicornAndSparkles · 20/09/2020 15:39

@Griffer very true! Its still not real when you bring them home and sit them in the middle of the living room thinking "what do we do now"?!

BabyMay29 · 20/09/2020 17:00

@hollywhooo congratulations! Every twinge I think something but then touch my sore boobs for reassurance! Hahaha! 4 weeks 1 days today for me. Each day is one step closer x x x

Pepsioften100 · 20/09/2020 17:39

Hey 👋
Think I’m part of the May babies 👶
Positive test yesterday, think that’s putting me at 4w 5d.
1st pregnancy, hopefully first baby!
Have to call docs still, and will have to tell work due to my job. When will we get confirmation it’s real?! 12 week scan or?

Griffer · 20/09/2020 17:42

@pepsioften100 congratulations.
yes, the 12 week scan will be the first time you know it's not just your eyes making up what you see on the test.

Pepsioften100 · 20/09/2020 17:55

@Griffer Thanks!
I just find it crazy. And having to tell work early means I feel like I need to tell my mum at least, whereas if I didn’t need to tell work I think I’d try keep quiet til 12 weeks.
Are people having appointments before then in person or is it likely to be phone etc with app this Covid thing? Does it depend where in the country you are?

ScottishLassie91 · 20/09/2020 18:16

@Pepsioften100 congrats! I'm also 4+5 😊
I called docs as I'm on some.medication for epilepsy so need to let.thwm know straight away. My first appointment with the midwife will be over the phone then my 12week scan is on my birthday 🥰
So long away but weve also booked an 8week scan before that lol! Xx

hollywhooo · 20/09/2020 18:27

@BabyMay29 yeah this is what i’m telling myself, every day i get through is a positive! I had some brown spotting a week or so ago which really shook me up but i’m trying to relax and tell myself that even if the worse happens theres nothing i can do to change it. We’ve booked a scan for a week and a halfs time so just counting down the days til then x x

BabyMay29 · 20/09/2020 21:08

@hollywhooo I completely agree. I was so chuffed we could even get pregnant as we have so many friends who have needed help. How far along are you? That is exciting... I bet you cant wait. I have twinges non stop in womb area, painful and massive change in boobs and positive tests. No bleed from implantation but test says 4-5 weeks so I would have presumed it would have happened already. So I think the twinges are my womb changing and stretching?? I hope! Need to speak to doctors tomorrow and arrange an appointment etc. Good luck with scan x x x

hereforallthehelp · 20/09/2020 21:20

@Elking18 I have the same due date as you! 25th May 2021

Can I join ladies? Been reading this thread as got my positive on Thursday (and then on digital on Friday!)

Cafeaulait27 · 21/09/2020 08:55

Thank you @LittleTiger007 I’ve still got a bit of brown now... it’s been about 5 days... hope it’s all ok.

Scan is tonight! Counting down the hours! Will keep you all updated.

NRDoss · 21/09/2020 09:29

Hello and welcome to the newcomers! Congrats on your BFPs Smile

@Cafeaulait27 Brown discharge is definitely a normal symptom, but I can understand the worry. I had brown spotting for about 4-5 days last week after a uphill run, but I saw little pea with heartbeat last Thursday. So, brown discharge might be some old period blood which didn't come out during the last cycle. It is very common and harmless. Try not to think too much about it and I'm sure things will be fine in your scan today. Keeping fingers crossed for you Smile

MagpieSong · 21/09/2020 09:35

Hello, may I joIn too? I’m due around 20th May (self worked out, so hospital date might be different). I’ve known since early on but took a while to get a positive test (symptoms galore though), so wanted to wait a bit before coming on here. I’ve got a DS age 5. Hope those of you with early scans enjoy them and they go well. I had one with DS (prev miscarriages) and it was so wonderful to see his heartbeat. We still have the photo! He finds it amazing he can see how absolutely tiny he was then! @Cafeaulait27, hope the brown is regular implantation bleeding and all goes well for you tonight.
