Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

@UnicornAndSparkles how are you getting on? I know what you mean about being nervous but there's no reason you can't have a healthy pregnancy, although other peoples haven't continued doesn't mean yours won't stick! However I definitely feel if I can get to week 6 I'll breath a sight of relief!x

@Sunshine92 congratulations! I assume this is your first baby? This is my third, and at 4 weeks (almost) I haven't got a clue what to do - I believe a phone call to the GP so they can refer you to the midwife?xx

@OneStepOneStumble Thank you! Fingers crossed, I'm quietly hopeful now that my period hasn't started. This will be our first :) So total novice as well here

Welliedays · 23/08/2020 00:37

Can i join too as due 29 April and feel totally out of sync with the April groups! Tested last Sunday and got a faint positive so going to test again tomorrow and hope it's clearer. AF was due on Thursday and hasn't shown up yet, but I had a chemical last month so I'm not writing off the same happening again at some point, although obvs hoping not!

Tiredness, toilet trips, back ache and a hey boobs (also my nipple keeps inverting itself, which it always used to do when I had larger boobs, so I think they're defs growing again, as since I've lost weight it's been fine)

leaferty · 23/08/2020 08:13

I'm good thank you @MummyFD I think I am going to book an early scan for somewhere around 7-8 weeks. I had one with my first and I found it was really reassuring and allowed me to actually believe it was happening.

I'm going to do a CB digital tomorrow and am hoping to get a 3+. I'm not sure whether I will do the self referral next week or wait a bit longer. They ask you to do it before 9 weeks so I guess as long as it's before then it doesn't matter too much!

MummyFD · 23/08/2020 08:13

@Welliedays let us know how you get on with your test it sounds very promising x

Welcome @Welliedays

MummyFD · 23/08/2020 08:17

@leaferty that is such a good idea - how do you self-refer? Have you found you've had many symptoms yet? My clear blue digital only came up with 1-2 weeks on Thursday so I think I'm going to get another one today as well, 3+ weeks will be a lot more reassuring x

@mummyfd (I'm really struggling to post this so it might suddenly appear 20 times)!

I think the frer is quite conclusive. Was hoping the line on the other one (supermarket cheap) would be a bit bolder - it's a 25 mcg one. Should it be bolder by now 18dpo, CD31, 9 days after implantation bleed?!

Due date May 2021!
Blughbablugh · 23/08/2020 09:59

Morning, I'm taking a very tentative step to joining this group. Got a very light but definite line on a morrisons test yesterday (that's all they had), 15 days PO, 1st month trying to conceive baby number 2. I'm feeling very much the same as I did with my DD who's now 3. Very bloated and lots of pulling and twinges and I've been having cramping since Wednesday and no sign of AF. I'm planning on getting a first response when out shopping today. If all goes well my dd is looking like beginning if May. Congrats to all you ladies!

eternalflame2020 · 23/08/2020 10:00

Morning ladies, hoping I can join too! Got first faint positive at 10dpo and CB 1-2 weeks yesterday at 12dpo. Due date of 1st May. This is our first and we are trying to be cautiously excited as no idea what to expect.

I booked a private scan yesterday for 8 weeks and plan to ring GP on Monday to register that I am pregnant.

I downloaded a lovely app called baby buddy which tells you what is going on each day, has lots of info and allows you to log appointments etc.

Excited that we are on this journey together! So far my only symptoms are nausea, extreme tiredness and a kind of tugging sensation in my tummy?

I keep waking up really early and my mind goes into overdrive about how we're going to do this in a one bed flat 😂 any one else get that? X

Sunshine92 · 23/08/2020 10:19

@MummyFD yes this is my first, I’ll give the GP a call tomorrow, I had a look at booking a midwife appointment last night but I think it’s different up in Scotland.

@eternalflame2020 - the baby buddy app sounds lovely, I’ll have to download it Smile

When do you all plan on telling parents/close friends...work?

leaferty · 23/08/2020 10:19

@MummyFD I think I can just do it on the website for my local hospital trust.

I had symptoms (sudden and intense hot flushes) at 9dpo which was why I tested. They carried on for a couple of days and a few waves of nausea but that's all gone now. I had a slight lower back & tummy ache a few days ago but not any more. I'm really hoping that's not a bad sign, but trying not to get stressed about it. I know I had the tummy aches with my first as I remember being permanently attached to a hot water bottle for a couple of weeks but I can't remember when that started & stopped. I wish I'd noted it down!! Wahhhhhh!

MummyFD · 23/08/2020 10:54

@Welliedays please don't worry about the supermarket one! I think that FR tells you everything you need to know - it looks like a dye stealer, mine never got that dark so there is a massive congratulations due! How are you feeling??xx

MummyFD · 23/08/2020 10:55

@Blughbablugh looking forward to hearing how you get on with your FR today, best of luck ❤️

eternalflame2020 · 23/08/2020 11:04

@sunshine92 yay, let me know what you think of it! I'm thinking of telling our parents after the 8 week scan and then friends after 12 weeks. I am very close with my mum though and I think she'll suss it out, I don't want to lie to her but would also prefer to tell my mum and dad together!

What are you thinking of doing?

Good luck @blughbablugh let us know how you get on.

@mummyfd I've also got a second CB which I'm going to take in a week's time to hopefully see a progression in weeks. When are you going to take yours?

Welliedays · 23/08/2020 11:06

@mummyfd I'm not believing it yet as I had a chemical literally just last month on our first month ttc.. And this is obvs month two, so it's all quite surreal anyway that I've been pregnant both months of trying as I know how hard some people find it and I actually feel quite bad that we've managed so easily. But I don't want to get too excited, as while the chemical was in full swing by this time last month I don't want to count it out just yet as that would make it worse if it does happen again.. If that makes sense. But obviously if it does stick, which I'm really hoping so, then I'll be really happy, but I'm not sure at what point I'll relax!!

@eternalflame2020 - I’m probably going to do the same, I’m also close to my mum and I think she will completely spot any changes!

I’m so worried about getting sick at work, I’ve got the worst phobia of sick and I will freak out if I’m poorly at work haha! Fingers crossed that I don’t suffer too badly...probably jinxed myself now though!!

Good luck @Blughbablugh hope it goes well today with the test Smile

eternalflame2020 · 23/08/2020 12:35

@sunshine92 oh my gosh, I totally get what you're saying about being poorly at work. I have been worrying about this too as I work one to one with primary aged children. I'm sure we'll be fine!

I'm going on a shopping trip with my mum this week and it's going to be so hard not to say anything! Ha!

Piggers946 · 23/08/2020 12:43

@Welliedays Welcome! Looking at the pics, the FR is definitely conclusive in my opinion and the other one seems to be as well. Congratulations!

@Blughbablugh I'm the same. Getting a FR when out today to take during the week. AF is officially late, and it never is. The only time it was, was two years ago due to stress after my dad passed. Just feeling bloated and some pulling as well, and just overall exhausted. Fell asleep sitting on the sofa yesterday afternoon before we headed to his parents for dinner, and it's not like we did much yesterday haha.

I'll probably call GP later in the week, not sure how it all works here in Northern Ireland. Only moved over at the end of February from Scotland, we're only just in our new house as of last month (stayed with the in-laws to be during lockdown), and originally from The Netherlands so it's all a total mystery haha. Taking h2b back to the ferry to Scotland today as he's due back at work tomorrow to quarantine before travelling for work again soon. Scary and exciting times ahead at the same time.

leaferty · 23/08/2020 14:56

@Welliedays my cheap tests are only just starting to be as dark as the control line (and not quite there yet) at 4w6days. Both lines look pretty good on those tests.

Having said I have no symptoms I suddenly have lower back ache and a pretty uncomfortable twinge on the right side of my abdomen. That's freaking me out a bit as all aches with my first we're very central but I'm trying not to worry as google tells me it's normal!

ScottishStardust · 23/08/2020 15:26

Hello Everyone and huge congratulations to all! We got our BFP this morning after 5/6 months of trying and having an ectopic in Oct 18! It doesn’t feel real, but trying to keep myself grounded as I’ve taken an early detection test so not due AF until Thursday! Used a CB Digital so pretty clear outcome!

Working on the NHS calculator, looks like we’re 6th May!! Looking forward to keeping up with how everyone is getting on! X

Welliedays · 23/08/2020 15:33

@scottishstardust last Sunday I could have written almost the exact same message. I also did an early detection test on a Sunday when AF was due on Thursday (the one just gone). I've just retested today and a much stronger positive than last week on a frer. I had a chemical last month, so while not the same as an ectopic I totally understand the not wanting to get too excited as I have been, and still am exactly the same. I'm sure all will go well this time though, keep up updated

ScottishStardust · 23/08/2020 15:54

Thanks for sharing your story! How funny that it’s basically the exact same! I’m confident as it was a pretty quick outcome but you never know! Sorry to hear about your chemical last month but glad you had a fast BFP! Smile Feels odd not being able to share news with people just now! I’m not good at secrets haha!!
