Good morning ladies - I haven't caught up properly yet so will do in a minute but I wanted to share...

This morning I woke up with a bit of cramping as usual but it was a little bit of a sharper pain than usual, it then got worse and was radiating from my lower abdomen (central not one sided) underneath towards my bottom. Now I was thinking oh shit this isn't normal and thought omg it could be ectopic so while I'm on the sofa trying to cope with these sharp spasm type pains I'm go ogling thinking we'll the only symptom I have is the pain. I then get this huge urge to go to the toilet 💩 so I rush upstairs and go. Within moments the pain eases, and now I'm back downstairs with no more than the usual mild af type cramps 🙈🙈🙈🙈 so I went into FULL panic mode because essentially I needed to poo. 😏🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I do have ibs and I used to get this alot so I should have known but now I'm pregnant obviously everything lower abdomen wise you just assume its related to that. I will be keeping an eye on any more discomfort just incase but jesus christ. I just needed to share with you all the start to my day 😬😂💩🤦🏻‍♀️

Mococo1 · 15/08/2020 12:44

Morning ladies

@SmileyT haha! How exciting here's my baby and here's my fella! I'm sure they will be equally pleased for you 🥰 think I've started something here with the fizzy laces 😂

@Dipsy77 poor thing hopefully you get a break with the nausea! But atleast its a bit reassuring that the symptoms are so strong? I think you and @Noble89 better get talking to the gp if the wristbands don't work !

@Ltay2 i think you don't have to do FMU however I would defo not advise to drink loadsand loads of water as that could tamper results

😩😩😩 my nausea seems to have vanished this morning, hunger isn't really there and boobs seem to have gone limp (I don't think I would have noticed this properly but DH said my boobs aren't as full/big when having a feel this morning) - I'm really trying not to panic but it's in the back of my mind👀👀👀 I don't know if I can justify going for a scan tomororw if I just had one on Tuesday! 😭

zippityzip · 15/08/2020 12:46

@Mococo1 Do you have any more tests?
Although I'll have a random day where my boobs don't hurt and i worry but by the evening I'm back to being sick and my nipples are on fire.

Mococo1 · 15/08/2020 13:07

@zippityzip no more! I'm not even sure what they will tell me at this stage 😭 I'm sure they would still come back dark I'm hoping it kicks in more towards the end of the day before I go into panic mode 🤞🏽

zippityzip · 15/08/2020 13:34

DH at work again texting how tired he is and his head hurts and bla bla.

When I've been up every 3 hours force feeding the rabbit after surgery. Looking after the DCs, blitzed the house, changed the beds, cleaned the floors and both bathrooms etc etc you know where I'm going. And growing a baby, y'know.

And I basically I say well the work stuff needs to calm down and we need to be a family again as you're never here and I have to hold the fort 24/7 so neither of us are getting a break.

"Oh great I rush to come home to a telling off". Oh I give up. Just feeling very resentful right now.

Ltay2 · 15/08/2020 13:43

I got the 3+ 🥳🥳 I'm happy now, not going to test anymore and just try to chill. Spent the last 4 hours painting fence panels and only actually done 4 😩 so time for a nap!

Cocoblue22 · 15/08/2020 16:03

@Sausage1990 love a good panic poo 🤣💩 so glad it was just down to dodgy guts! I get belly ache a lot because of my dodgy guts too! X

@Mococo1 I had a day like that last week where mine weren't very sore but it did come back although don't think they are as sore as the first few weeks it's probably starting to ease off a bit as our bodies get used to the hormones x

@zippityzip men always feel like they are badly done to even when they are getting the easier deal. I wouldn't take it personally even though it's annoying men can be stupid at times x

@Ltay2 woohoo to 3+CB 🎉 x

I've spent all day at a national trust park having a nice walk not walked that far in ages just took our time now I'm lying on the sofa 🤣 it's all about balance! So soon DH will ask 'what's for tea' and quite frankly all I fancy is a Chinese but I don't think he will buy that. I picked my hello fresh delivery based on what I would normally like and I don't fancy any of it 😬 xx

zippityzip · 15/08/2020 17:12

@Cocoblue22 Would you believe that he's asleep now. Fucking dickhead.

Cocoblue22 · 15/08/2020 18:14

@zippityzip haha men eh! Try and take your mind off it get kiddos in bed early and have some 'me time' candles and a bath? A nice take away for dinner? Watch your favourite film? I get the frustration but try not to fall out with him as it will only make you feel worse then he will be even more badly done to! Just try and do a bit less and make a bit more time out for you if you can x

blodyn91 · 15/08/2020 19:25

@Cocoblue22 thanks for those wise words, thinks you are right as she always comments how 'shes just MIL' for OH brothers kids. Will be different with us as my mum and dad are so far so we will get her more involved. Will try my best and see what happens.

@Sausage1990 😂😂

@Ltay2 yas to the 3+

So got a phonecall off mam today, their duck was sitting on eggs and none have hatched, so she sent me to buy some ducklings on my way back up to Wales as its my nieces 1st birthday tomorrow. Look how cute they are!! We have adopted them onto the other duck now 🤞 she accepts them

Summer '20 Grads ❤️
Ltay2 · 15/08/2020 19:32

@blodyn91 Omg they are the cutest!!! 🐥

I've had such a lazy day today, other than painting fences this morning I've literally sat on the sofa / napped all afternoon. Had some cramps again a few hours ago so was worried I'd already done too much and so rested but feeling better now 🤞🏼 still no motivation to do anything else though!

Mococo1 · 15/08/2020 19:47

@blodyn91 so so cute!! 🥰

I felt some nausea earlier (very little) but still taking it as a good sign - we spent the day out in London walking around had lunch and even popped into harrods- DH dragged me to the children's section so it's nice to see him getting excited whilst I'm just overly anxious in the corner! hopefully tomorrow will get some more symptoms and put my mind at ease, going for a nap now 🤣 x

Cocoblue22 · 15/08/2020 20:09

@blodyn91 you're most welcome :) I know it can be difficult but just try and remember she probably feels left out and once she sees that you are more than happy for her to be a big part of your baby's life she will love you for giving that to her. She may also be scared to ask for an input (she will know your mum will naturally be your first choice) but with some good tactics you'll certainly win her over and make her feel part of things. Those ducklings are soooo cute 😍 I want one x

@Ltay2 that's a good balance I'd say and you are definitely allowed an afternoon on the sofa when you're growing a whole other human! X

@Mococo1 glad your OH is getting excited x

Ltay2 · 15/08/2020 20:40

@Cocoblue22 That is very true, I think I need to remember more often that even though I feel like I'm being lazy, my body is very busy growing a human 😂

FairyLights2 · 15/08/2020 21:54

@Cocoblue22 Thanks for the suggestions.

@Noble89 Today wasn't great either but vomiting this evening gave me a bit of respite.

I've read that week 8 and 9 is when the hormone reaches its peak. Hopefully once we reach the end of our first trimester things will get easier.

Lettie365 · 15/08/2020 22:00

Hi @SmileyT thanks for starting another thread. I’m due 11th April. No scan dates or anything yet. Had an initial booking in appt but have finishing off one on the 28th Aug where I’ll be 8weeks so imagine they’ll get my scan booked then, do my bloods etc.
Had a productive day - somewhat prematurely sorted out the ‘spare‘ room a bit. DD8 who doesn’t know yet was asking but why are you sorting out this room? And I was just like ah well you know, just to sort it out! She is a little detective so I imagine she’s taking notes on my behaviour at the moment 😂

Mococo1 · 15/08/2020 23:23

@Cocoblue22 thank you!

And thanks for the MIL tips!

@SmileyT for your list: we've booked a private scan on the 23/08 day after my MW appt 22/08 and I should be about 8+5 then so hopefully shows good progress on little one!

SmileyT · 16/08/2020 08:19

@Dipsy77 ahh bless ya, she'll have to get used to sharing you when new bubs come along x

@blodyn91 @Mococo1 haha yeah I'll tell them at the same time on their birthday in October, be like 'woo in pregnant, can you now replace my ex in the family portrait in the dining room' 😂😂

@Cocoblue22 ooh that's good to know about the temp filling 👌🏾 did you have the Chinese? We had a chippy tea last night 😋

@Sausage1990 haha I've definitely had this before with a dodgy gut 🙈

@zippityzip Ahh I hope DH isn't working today and you can have some chill time as a family x

@blodyn91 what cute little duckies 😍😍

@Ltay2 yay to 3+, good job giving up on the testing after this. I literally did nothing yesterday and plan to do the same today, don't even feel bad about it, hoping OH blitzes the house 🤪

@Lettie365 ooh you are super organised 🙌🏾 our spare room is still in use by one of DPs friends stuff and think he may be moving in for a few months later this year so no clearing out yet 🙈

@Mococo1 how are you feeling today? Who is your private scan booked with? So many scans over the next couple weeks exciting ☺️ x

samilicious · 16/08/2020 08:49

@Cocoblue22 thanks for sharing your positive experience on Window to the Womb 😊 feeling much more positive about it now

@SmileyT yay for getting telling the miserable boss out of the way! I don't know how you keep a straight face when she makes those comments. You have the patience of a saint. I had really painful trapped wind stabbing pains on Friday too in the middle of a row with OH - kept running to the loo mid-row holding my stomach and he was like 'what's wrong?!?' 'NOTHING I just need to trump 😠' haha, oh who said romance was dead eh

@Noble89 I used to have antibiotics for recurring UTIs for about a year a few years back and they flared up again just before I conceived. I wish I'd insisted they give me a week of antibiotics instead of 3 days, just kept not clearing it. I don't think the vitamin tablets help - it's like a rave every time I have a wee, bright neon 😂😅 got a bottle with a built in straw, drinking through that helps me drink more and sickness/UTI pangs aren't as bad on the days I do - work days are easier cuz I'm just sat there on the computer so easier to remember to drink more

samilicious · 16/08/2020 08:57

Also saw my MIL yesterday and she's so excited - it's so nice! It's my mum I'm more worried about... she's always made comments about rivalry between the prospective grandmas - wish she'd just chill and not worry about it! Shouldn't be the first thing that comes to mind when you get this good news 😅

I say MIL but not married. Thinking about changing my name to include OH's surname and go double barrelled or just change my surname. I don't think I want to get married, but would like to have same name as kids 🤔 and closer to OH's family than my dad's

@SmileyT what cars are you looking at? That's on my list too - I have a fiat 500 so not going to be able to fit much baby stuff in there

Mococo1 · 16/08/2020 09:06

@SmileyT I'm feeling okay thanks- nausea has just come back a little bit this morning so Hoping my little bean is hanging on- but worried as we go to my in laws every Sunday (so today) and I really dont want them to catch on that I'm pregnant just yet! I'm also so bloody gassy - it's disgusting me this morning 🤢

I did impulse buy a Doppler yday it's in the post😂

My scans with window to the womb as there's one about 10/15mins away if it goes well il have my next one there too and the gender scan x

zippityzip · 16/08/2020 09:15

@Mococo1 I'm glad you're feeling more nauseous! Not that I want you to feel sick but means things are going well.

I hear you with the gas! I'm the same.

@Lettie365 Ah she may guess - kids are so intuitive. Although when I have my DD a T-shirt that said "you're going to be a big sister again" it look a full three minutes for t penny to drop!

@blodyn91 Duckings 😍 oh my word the cuteness.

@Cocoblue22 Thanks for the calming words. I very diplomatically made my point about what about your family. But he's the kind of man that needs a few days to digest it and come back like it's his own idea. He's working again today. He seems to think that we need ten billion pounds for my mat leave - we don't.

zippityzip · 16/08/2020 10:22

Gah. Spotting this morning.

Sausage1990 · 16/08/2020 10:25

Morning ladies!
@samilicious @SmileyT God in so glad I'm not alone in the dodgy gut/wind pain issues haha I did not expect this.

I took my last frer this morning at 19dpo and the test line was so much stronger than the control line so thays really reassuring. I think I'm done with testing until end of next week when I'll do the last clearblue weeks indicator to see that 3+... Then I'm really done.

I've yet to book with the midwife because I need to register for the local GP. I didn't change when I moved but as I live in a different health board to my GP it needs to be done or its doing to complicate things.

I have a question actually... In order to determine how far along you are and get your scans booked and stuff, they use your LMP don't they? What happens if your cycle is 36-37days long rather than closer to the typical 28days? I'm currently 4+5 using my opk dates etc but if I used the LMP I'd be 6+3... Its quite a big difference. So my 12 week scan I'd only be like 10 ish weeks... How does thay work? X

Mococo1 · 16/08/2020 11:03

@SmileyT @Sausage1990 @zippityzip so glad I'm not the only gassy person here 🤣 it's getting out of control!

@zippityzip you okay with the spotting? I can't remember if it was your scan where they said you might bleed because of something or the other? It might reabsorb back or release- sorry if I'm getting you confused with anyone else!?

@Sausage1990 my referral to the hosp asked my cycle length- so I think they would take that into account but know a lot of places just use LMP. I wouldn't worry too much your first scan is also a dating one so if it's too early they will scan you again and if they book you at what they consider 13w mark and you're only 11 all the nuchal tests can still be done! I would try getting referred ASAP though 😁 x
