@Busybee143 hi honey if you're worried then maybe ring the EPU and ask to be seen. Given that you have miscarried before they may be more likely to give you a scan or even see if a local private place has anything last minute appointments if you're willing to pay x

I'll tell you the obvious, that it can be normal to lose symptoms. I only lost mine after I had miscarried. But I know how you** feel I have felt this way before and it's horrible so I say get a scan because that's the only way you'll get the proper and conclusive reassurance you need x

Bl0ndi3 · 14/09/2020 08:45

@Mustbemad82 that would actually be awesome if primark did that! I'll probably look at eBay, new look and boohoo for the majority of my maternity stuff and maybe invest in some good jeans and leggings if I don't find any gems on eBay haha!

I can't wait to need maternity stuff 😍

LittleRa · 14/09/2020 09:33

@Mustbemad82 Primark did maternity when I was pregnant with my DD, now 6yo. Had they stopped and are now starting again? I loved their breastfeeding bras as they were just cheap so could get lots for changing when boobs leak or they covered in nipple cream plus they were soft and comfy, I also had a couple of pairs of elasticated waistband maternity jeans from there (under the bump) that I continued to wear well after DD was actually born. I had maternity pyjamas from there too which I took into hospital 😊

LittleRa · 14/09/2020 09:35

PS everyone I’m 15 weeks today and officially put maternity jeans on this morning 😬 I could probably get away with squeezing into my usual ones but these are just so damn comfy and having bought them new, I want to get as much wear out of them and I can! They’re the mamalicious brand, bought from ASOS.

Mococo1 · 14/09/2020 09:41

@Mustbemad82 omg primark! I would love that cheap and cheerful maternity wear

@zippityzip you okay hun? Sorry things have been mental for you! I hope you guys sort things soon and you get a well deserved break from all the stress

@Busybee143 I agree with @Bl0ndi3 honestly it's not worth losing your mind over. if you can get a referral to epu then I would try atleast for your own sanity ..If not some clinics do private scans for £45 or something 😁 It's natural to worry after a miscarriage and natural to lose symptoms but still go on to have a healthy pregnancy 😁

I also think you will extra worried atm as it's around the time you lost your last baby so I really feel for you

just know it's a rare occurrence for it to happen again! I'm sure this one is a sticky bean so sending lots of hugs, positivity and reassurance your way lovely xxx

Sausage1990 · 14/09/2020 11:16

@busybee143 oh bless you that is a worry isn't it, sending love to you & positive vibes. I agree with the girls, get in the phone to the EPU and get their advice. Given your previous experience in sure they'll be keen to reassure you. Sending you a big virtual hug 💕

@Mococo1 how did it go telling your in-laws?

Wwww primark maternity sounds good for those basics that you need. Tbh when looking at maternity wear I'm going to try to find maternity/nursing wear so I can still use it after pregnancy too. My friend did this and she said it was so worth it. She got a few tops and a dress for her baby shower and said although they were slightly more pricey she's glad she got them as its made feeding easier especially going out for a meal etc. I've also been told that mat wear is designed to make the most of the bump so can actually make you look better than just buying oversized all the time. As a curvier girl, I'm very conscious that it will be easy for me to just look bigger and not pregnant so if I need to invest in mat wear to feel my best then I definitely am. Also we do plan on having at least one more in the future so I will be able to use them again. I'm excited to get to the part where I can buy nice new stuff 😊

Mustbemad82 · 14/09/2020 12:33

@Busybee143
Gwt a Provate one if you need
I’m all for reassurance
I think it’s a really good proactive thing and although there’s nothing any of us can do, the knowing puts you back in control doesn’t it

Best of luck
I’ve had an awful weekend too
Non stop bleeding so back later at EPU it never ends does it !

Mococo1 · 14/09/2020 12:55

@Sausage1990 I'm sure you will look lovely in whatever you buy! I'm the same I had a bit of a belly before falling pregnant so I used to prefer loose clothing anyway and can imagine after giving birth the belly will only look worse for me! So would like stuff I can wear after too xx

really well! Everyone was so surprised and chuffed for us -not a comment in sight whatsoever 😬 It was all in DH's head that they would be upset/annoyed we hadn't told them before the 3months. He's very defensive regarding his family in general and at dinner he asked if anyone was upset we didn't tell them beforehand and they looked at him so confused..MIL was really offended as to why he would ask! given the circumstances (told them about my second CP/MC as well) they were understanding and relieved

Also I didn't realise my due to previous jobs my SIL is a pram expert- so she's now buying and advising us on prams 😂 when I get her top three recommendations will share lol x

@Mustbemad82 really hope you are okay! Good luck at the EPU the bleeding must be coming from elsewhere as bub has always seemed fine in there! Hope they can find the source to relieve your worrying a bit x

Sausage1990 · 14/09/2020 14:39

@Mococo1 ahhh I'm so glad. Its so nerve wracking isn't it but everyone will be thrilled when we all start sharing more widely. But having a pram expert in the family is super helpful... We'll all be asking you loads if questions to get her to answer haha

It's my 1st day back in work tomorrow having been off since the 28th of May. I'm looking forward to seeing people but I'm also a bit nervous. I think I'm guna wear a floaty dress for comfort, as I'm in the office and the weather is meant to be sunny so should be comfortable.... Not quite sure what I'm guna do about food through the day tho - I'm guna have to get to the supermarket I think... Any ideas for work snacks welcome!

Busybee143 · 14/09/2020 15:10

Thanks guys for all your kind words. I've been a little more off my food today so I'm hoping that's a better sign. I think I will ring someone when I'm home for some advice, would it be EPU I would ring? I might just skip that and book a scan though, I'm really scared but I'd rather know at this point I think. I've had a mahoosive fall out with the other half, it's bad and it was over nothing but turns out I'm no good for her or her family and she can't be happy with me in her life so I guess I'm on my own with this one. She got very nasty very fast, though its just happened I feel she has been keeping everything in for a while so I think they were words of truth. I think I'll do better on my own anyway after hearing everything she said, I'm sick of not being good enough for her or her family, I'm not perfect but I'm not shit on the floor

zippityzip · 14/09/2020 15:33

@Busybee143 I'm so sorry I don't know anything about your situation but if your partner has said that to you then that's really serious.

Facing single parenthood is frightening as fuck but god just be grateful you're the pregnant one and not the one walking away from the baby that you wanted.

If you need it to feel better than defo book a scan. It helped me massively when panicking about what's going on in there. I hope all is ok.

In seriousness if you need to vent, chat, ask for advice, whatever. We are here. This is prob the only thread I've been on where people haven't fallen out or got judgmental or turned into vipers. We've got your back. I know it's virtual, but it's helpful.

And - what's her issues with her family?? Why do they dictate what's good enough for her?! And why suddenly now?!

Bl0ndi3 · 14/09/2020 15:42

@Busybee143 hey lovely if it were me I'd look into how quickly I could get a private scan - you can usually see their availability on their website etc or through Facebook etc. If nothing soon you could ring the EPU directly and just explain that you're symptoms have dropped (exaggerate!!!!!!) do whatever you need to do to make you feel better about it.

I'm so sorry to hear about the argument with your OH and it's clear to me that shes no good for you if this is how she is being right now!! I can only imagine what you're going through right now but focus on yourself because you're carrying a baby who needs you right now so get yourself booked for a scan to find out if everything's okay and then give yourself some "me" time.

zippityzip · 14/09/2020 15:44

I agree with @Bl0ndi3 - treating their pregnant partner like that - she's the one that's no good.

blodyn91 · 14/09/2020 16:21

@Busybee143 arguments like that are shitty! Maybe shes just stressed or worrying and took it all out on you. Definitely talk. Ive said some stupid stuff to my OH in the past, I usually crawl back 20 mins later admitting Im a horrible witch.

@Mococo1 ww ask her best buggy for off road/running and also suitable for newborn with car seat adaptors 😝

@Sausage1990 good luck tomorrow! outfit sounds lovely. I snack on bananas and apples. Trying to avoid crisps or ill stuff my face. Carrot sticks and humous also a fave.

Forgot to update you all that my parents came to stay over the weekend to have a look at the house thats getting sold via auction. We have decided on our upper limit and will be going next Friday to bid 😳😬🤞

SmileyT · 14/09/2020 16:31

Haven't caught up on everything but @Busybee143 be kind to yourself. I definitely felt more stressed around the time that my last pregnant stopped progressing 7w4 and I felt much better getting a scan. I know some people have had fab experiences of their EPUs but for me I'd rather get a private scan (or 3 🙈). With your partner I don't know the full situation but could she be having some feelings about not being the one who is pregnant? And it's coming out in other ways? You have one child together and another one on the way so definitely just talk when you've both calmed down x

Been so busy at work I didn't get chance to have a catch up so working through now catching up from Sunday morning!!

@blodyn91 like @mrsmummy1111 says just ask if you need any recommendations/reviews on anything. I bought so much stuff for DS some of it was brilliant and some of it a waste of money. Like @mrsmummy1111 says my MIL bought a cheap video monitor off amazon for about £25-30 and it's just as good as the £200 model we forked out for! Wish I'd of known that back then! X

@Mococo1 I was sure I wanted a silver cross until I saw the occaro and then I loved that even more and it was a lot lighter. Glad telling your parents went well it's such a lovely time. My ass has got bigger too....something has to balance the bump out or you'd topple over 🤣 x

I also got a great changing table from IKEA little white one I think it was £30 bargain!! X

@Bl0ndi3 that's great progression x

@SmileyT snuzpod is not convenient for travel at all it's bulky and hard to fit in the car! We bought a separate travel cot which folds up it was like £30 from mothercare much more convenient for travel x

Posting so I don't lose then will continue x

Cocoblue22 · 15/09/2020 08:45

@FairyLights2 yay to seeing baby at you scan! I'm sure all will be fine with baby's bladder they often ask people back for a second one for lots of things just to check it's pretty standard so try not to worry x

Ladies I'm fully in the maternity clothes and loving them....sooo comfy! Not worth being uncomfortable in my opinion x

I bought some massive cheap nighties from primark for after the birth they were brilliant I just bought a larger size so comfy. I've bought stuff this time off Seraphine which is pricey but they fit well and look great and their bamboo leggings are the comfiest I've ever found x

@Mustbemad82 sorry you've had more bleeding hope all is okay? X

@Busybee143 hope you are okay too still reading down to find out if you had a scan or rang epu. I'm sorry to hear what OH said to you 😢 that's awful hope you can sort it out x

@zippityzip hope you and OH have made up now? X

@Mococo1 glad to hear everyone was thrilled at your news! It's so lovely once everyone knows isn't it and you can talk about it more 🥰 x

@blodyn91 so exciting about the house 🎉 x
