@MrsEmilyB ahh that's so cute such an emosh time 🥰, my OH was crying in the scan, I just found it hilarious because it was behind his mask and it's so dark with me facing the other way and I didn't know why he wasn't responding to me 🤦🏾‍♀️

@Sausage1990 glad all is well and you were looked after in hospital, it's the most frustrating thing about early pregnancy you can be assessed but until you get a scan they just can't really tell you what's going on, it's just guesswork. When do you get your bloods back? OH did well with nuggets afterwards, hope you slept well and have a chilled day today x

@samilicious yeah that friends episode does crack me up 😂 Mrs banana hammock it is 💁🏾‍♀️

@zippityzip I'd definitely say it's good you're having the conversation now about how it's all going to work, sounds like you are run ragged, I work FT but with no kids, don't really do any life admin, don't do any cooking or cleaning and I'm exhausted. He should be so grateful to have you as this amazing superwomen and needs a kick up the bum to help out a bit more, you are not asking too much x

@blodyn91 I can already tell that you are somebody that throws yourself into everything you do with 100% so you'll be fab. But I'm also glad I booked onto antenatal classes to learn some extra tricks 😂

OP posts:
MrsEmilyB · 18/08/2020 12:41

@SmileyT where did you find antenatal classes? The NHS service says all of them are cancelled until further notice due to covid 😢

Ltay2 · 18/08/2020 12:52

@MrsEmilyB I'll claim its baby brain 😂 I'm not having many symptoms really, I'm feeling sick in a morning when I first wake up until I eat. I have to force some toast in me and then I feel a lot better. I tend to only really feel sick when I'm really hungry and haven't actually been sick yet which is good. My boobs are a bit tender but again nothing major and I am tired but not as much as last week so overall not too bad! I think sleep issues can be pregnancy related too!

Mococo1 · 18/08/2020 13:10

@zippityzip rant all you want and don't apologise for being hormonal- if anything it's a good symptom 😬 sounds like you are superwoman!

@MrsEmilyB awww your reveal sounds so cute 😍I'm so glad he was super happy! Mine cried as he sat outside EPU ( I sent him a pic whilst I was inside) he pretended he didn't when I came out lol so hoping everything is okay ok at our next as he can be present for private scans x

blodyn91 · 18/08/2020 14:15

I've just had an email back from Iron man saying that I can't defer my entry to 2022, I have to use it to transfer from the cancelled 2020 to 2021, so throwing myslef 100% into an Ironman at 5 months post partum 😬😳 So bloody shit really, its cost me £400. Not saying yes or no yet will see what im like next summer, just gutted. Stupid corona. At least they congratulated me 🙄
On the antenatal front @Sausage1990 you might already know but I came across Mudiad Meithrin, so its baby yoga etc in welsh, and there a location 50mins away from me! From what I can see they are starting group meetings up again now.
@MrsEmilyB Theres also Daisy Foundation, but classes in 2021 aren't up to book yet. Maybe @SmileyT can book as she is in London?

SmileyT · 18/08/2020 14:40

@MrsEmilyB ooh where did it say NHS ones are not on, my midwife mentioned they are online at the moment in my trust. But yeah I booked mine privately... NCT is probably the biggest name near me but I've gone for baby and bump (think it's only in London) as they were nearly sold out for the January course and didn't want to miss out, although it's way too early 😂

@blodyn91 I also looked at daisy foundation but there was no locations close to home, very unusual for London 🙃 also 3 months of training post birth recovery could work, will be something to focus on, it'll just be having time to train but you'll work it out x

Sausage1990 · 18/08/2020 15:16

Hi ladies thank you all for you well wishes. I got my hcg results back which were 2000 so it's high enough for a scan which is booked for tomorrow morning at 9.40am. I'm pleased I can get a scan but also slightly shitting myself because it's to find out if we can see anything yet and if its doing well and in the right place or not. I'm feeling relatively calm in the sense that I cannot change the outcome either way but God I'm praying so hard that it's not ectopic. I'm trying to not think too negatively... the part of me that is leaning towards self-preservation is thinking its probably not good news, but I'm hoping the pain was/is nothing to do with the pregnancy. Unfortunately DH is on a course for 3 days (from home) but unfortunately it's not possible for him to rearrange any of it so I'll go alone. Which I am a bit nervous about if its bad news. Hopefully I'll get some clear answers either way tomorrow 🤞🏻

@blodyn91 oh that's good to know about the Welsh baby group but rubbish on the iron man challenge 😔

@SmileyT gosh look at you being so organised with your nct classes all booked 💪🏻

@Mustbemad82 how are you getting on?

@MrsEmilyB ahhh your announcement to DH is so lovely 😊 such a nice idea.

I'm fully in let's wait and see mode now... I was feeling more confident with the good line progression and was planning how to tell everyone but now I'm fully putting the breaks on until after the scan tomorrow. God I hope we can some conclusive answers 🤞🏻😬🙏🏻

Sausage1990 · 18/08/2020 15:18

Also @zippityzip I'm sorry your having a hard time with DH... Its a horrible fight to have but I personally think its one worth having. Its not fair to leave it all on your shoulders, parenthood is a partnership. Don't worry about ranting either, like the others said that's what we're all here for 👍🏻

zippityzip · 18/08/2020 15:36

@Sausage1990 2000 is good isn't it?? At least your scan is early tomorrow and you don't have to wait all day. Keeping it all crossed for you I'm sure it'll be good news. How many weeks are you expecting the scan to show tomorrow?

Thanks, sometimes I've just got to get it off my chest. He thinks he's the only person in the world to be stressed and I try not to make it a competition but he would literally break down after two days in my shoes.

Sausage1990 · 18/08/2020 15:40

@zippityzip I think 2000 is good. They said it needed to be above 1500 so that they could scan. Lower than that means they're unlikely to be able to see anything.
Based on my calculations tomorrow I'll be 5+1 so hopefully be around there 🙏🏻

Mustbemad82 · 18/08/2020 15:49

Hey all

Feeling a bit sombre

Initial hcg was 1114 now 1938, they said they are concerned it hasn’t doubled and could be non viable
Scan for tomorrow although they aren’t hopeful to see anything

I feel so anxious and crappy

Mustbemad82 · 18/08/2020 15:51

@Sausage1990 I’m really hoping it goes well for you

Will you keep me posted
Mines at 12 x

zippityzip · 18/08/2020 15:57

@Mustbemad82 Ah that's shit - although aren't those figures good? How many weeks are you? Fingers crossed for you really hope it is better news. What time is your scan?

zippityzip · 18/08/2020 15:57

Oh sorry cross posted.

Really hope you're ok as

zippityzip · 18/08/2020 15:57

Ok** xx

Sausage1990 · 18/08/2020 16:02

@Mustbemad82 well at least you'll get some answers either way. I think this limbo is one of the worst feelings. Yes I'll keep you posted. Same to you.

@zippityzip the numbers themselves aren't really anything to worry about it's just the doubling that they like to see, and they told me in 48hrs they like to see the hcg doubling. Although yours isn't far off double @Mustbemad82, how many weeks to do you think you are?

I'll keep my fingers crossed & pray for us both. 🙏🏻

Sausage1990 · 18/08/2020 16:03

@Mustbemad82 gosh the beginning of my message sounded heartless. I didn't mean it to at all. I am sorry you're going through this. I just meant that whatever is happening inside of us is out of our control and for me personally I feel like I just need to know either way now so I can find some peace. Sorry if it came across harsh 🙈💕

Ltay2 · 18/08/2020 16:04

Ladies I need some advice/pep talk!! I am undecided whether to have an early scan on Saturday this weekend just for some reassurance for myself. I will be 6+6 from LMP on Saturday so my question is really am I likely to see/hear a heartbeat at this stage or will I be setting myself up for more worry if it can't be determined at the time? I'm getting myself all worked up about going to our private 9 weeks scan and finding out then that something is wrong so this one really would be just that first step into knowing and then if all is well I can then enjoy the 9 week one more? I would be going on my own this weekend if I do go and then OH would be coming to the 9 week one. Don't know if I'm just worrying over nothing.

Mustbemad82 · 18/08/2020 16:08

I think I am around 4+5 or could be 4+4
I’m not certain
It’s only a rise of 75% and she said she liked to see much stronger and higher numbers
Mine handt doubles and are only 75% instead of 100 which is a little worrying

I just feel a bit crap

@Sausage1990 didn’t read it like that at all, I know what you meant
I’m not sure what they’ll see on the scan as feels so early but I’ll go along With everything crossed

X

blodyn91 · 18/08/2020 16:12

@Mustbemad82 from what @Sausage1990 docs say ypu can possibly see something when its higher than 1500. Your values are also close to 2000 so I also think they are good. You are very early aren't you?
Also Sausages how painful are your pains? I tend to get really sharp stabbing pains if I stretch or bend awkwardly or when I cried earlier as somebody has topped our barn offer and now Im having loads more pains than usual so now thinking im stressing over this barn causing my baby to get angry 🙈 Really hoping all is good for you both, Im feeling very optimistic for you 🤞💙

Mococo1 · 18/08/2020 16:24

@Ltay2 Has anything happened to make you unsure hun? I would weigh up what is going to be more beneficial for you mentally?

If you go and all is fine is it going to relieve stress before the 9week one? Or will you still be just as anxious?

At 6+6 you should defo see something especially a heartbeat - YouTube will show you what should be able to seen on the scan and they will also check positioning etc

if you are counting from last LMP are you confident that's in line with ovulation? (or any possibility that you could ovulate a bit later making you less than 6+6?)

I guess you could always wait until you are a couple of days over 7 weeks and get an early scan that way for sure you will see something 🥰 to me money is nothing over a sigh of relief xx

@Sausage1990 @Mustbemad82 good luck with everything tomorrow 😘 rooting for you both

@Mustbemad82 quick question did you have exactly 48hours or was it a bit less?? Ive just done an online calculator for you of HCG doubling and it says you are in the normal range for 48hours between blood samples- I don't want to give you false hope but at the same time I'm hoping this helps ease the stress for you a little (and maybe docs just want to check you incase) - hope it helps atleast until your scan provides you with more clarification xxxx

Ltay2 · 18/08/2020 16:29

@Mococo1 I'm really not sure whether it would help or not. Obviously if all is well then of course I would be so relieved and I think it genuinely would help somewhat towards the worry, although I'd still no doubt be a little worried for the 9 week one too. Nothing in particular has happened to make me feel this way I'm just generally panicking. I don't have many symptoms but I do have slightly sore boobs and very very mild nausea I don't know if I'm just comparing symptoms with other people's and worrying because mine aren't as severe?

Sorry for the thick question 😂 but how would I calculate it from ovulation? My cycles are generally 29-30 days and I definitely ovulated on either CD14 or CD15 (as got static smiley peak test at CD13).

Maybe I'm just being an over worrier today 🙈 I think I will see how I feel later in the week as £70 is a lot for a scan but it's definitely worth it if it'll reassure me for a bit.

SmileyT · 18/08/2020 16:34

@Mustbemad82 I'm with the others I think levels seem in line for under 5weeks, it can be really frustrating that different healthcare professionals have different views. A lady on another thread was told that 160% was the increase they looked for as an indication of a healthy pregnancy. Good luck for tomorrow and I hope you can relax tonight xx

@Sausage1990 yay to being able to get in for a scan tomorrow morning. Will be good to see that everything is in the right place and sometimes the hospital will do a follow up 2 weeks later so you can see the heartbeat when it starts beating a little later 🥰

@Ltay2 I think 6w6 is a great time to see your little bean, I'd be suprised if you couldn't see HB then. Personally I've not felt worse for any of the scans I've had, although anxiety before is high. For me I'd feel worse if something had gone wrong and I didn't realise for 4/5weeks. Add 2 weeks on to your ovulation date for weeks based on ovulation, but you're like me with a pretty standard cycle so will be pretty much the same xx

Mustbemad82 · 18/08/2020 16:35

@Mococo1 first one was taken about 1130-12 on Sunday and second this morning around 7-20 so there or there abouts

She just said it isn’t a strong enough rise
And it should more than double

I’ll see how tomorrow goes

@blodyn91

I’m trying to keep things in check although it’s hard x

I get those too
Little stabbing pains - more so when I need the toilet or I’m stressed !

blodyn91 · 18/08/2020 16:43

@Ltay2 If it reassures you compared to most on here my symptoms are very mild. Im not tired, not eating more and no nausea (other than when i took my vitamins too late at night) few belly stabs which increase with stress and thats it. Obviously I have zero idea how mine is doing as no scans yet, still waiting on my letter. Im not booking an early scan unless OH cant come to my 12 week one, but thats because Im a super optimistic person and like to believe everything is fine, nothing against early scans. Just think about you, and what would make you feel better.
