Totally agree @DanceM1 and the others who are thankful for this thread, this thread and our previous threads have really helped me so much over the last few weeks and months, so glad to have found you all, some of us have been on this rollarcoaster together for quite some time now!

Also please excuse the multiple spelling errors that slip into my posts, dyslexia and fat fingers don't go well together 😅

@ew1990 what time is your scan? Hope it's an earlier one for you! I'm also going to really wait until 16-20 weeks I reckon!

@SmileyT it's crazy isn't it, hopefully it'll be really clear for you then!

@Workingmama1 that's the thing, even after the 12 week scan I don't feel like il be proper ready to buy much! As don't want to get too much incase something still happens! But nothing wrong with a baby grow! 😍

@DanceM1 hopefully was nothing, but still so so hard not to worry! 😫

@ew1990 good luck with your scan this morning ❤️

@bubblybon20 yeah hopefully it'll be more than a blob at my next scan, I hadn't even thought about buying stuff until you just mentioned it (FTM 🙈) I thought people started buying stuff in the 3rd trimester, is that too late? x

Good morning ladies,

Just thought I'd update... the clear blue monitor still says pregnant 🤷🏻‍♀️
Tho the line is lighter than on Sunday (too test is from Sunday, bottom one from this morning.
Sorry for TMI but very slightly brown spotting still and I keep letting the odd tiny little stringy brown but which can't be good?
Still, nothing I can do but ride it out and see what happens. But I'm still not convinced.

Anyway, good luck to those having scans today. So excited for you! Smilexx

Morning all!

@bubblybon20 I think if we have a successful 12 week scan I’ll buy this giraffe teddy bear I’ve been eyeing up since first pregnancy but then everything else I’ll wait until after 20 weeks. Will probably get the big things in the Black Friday/Boxing Day sales! I also like @Workingmama1‘s idea - it’s my husband’s bday a few weeks after when I assume my scan will be so maybe I’ll get him a little ‘dad’ something. Don’t know yet, I’m a very superstitious person so don’t want to tempt fate and have already wound myself up thinking that if the 12 week is ok then the 20 is bound to show something wrong 😬

@Dipsy77 Sending a big hand hold, I completely understand the nerves about going to the scan alone and think it’s completely normal. At mine last week, I told the sonographer my previous experience and she was really good at really quickly showing me the baby and the heartbeat because of that - she showed me that and then did everything else she needed to.

@ew1990 I’m rooting for us all, too - we’ve all been through so much, we really deserve easy, successful pregnancies and our babies at the end. I’m so looking forward to everybody’s (successful!) journeys 💕

@workingmama1 I don’t think I’ve ever noticed a spelling error in your posts, don’t worry about it! Even if there were, it doesn’t matter one bit ☺️

@ew1990 and @jennymy Good luck with your scans today!!

@Wishful30 I’ve got my fingers so firmly crossed for you, sending big hugs xx

Took me a good 10mins after waking up to remember that I have my booking appt today 🥳 I know it’s such a boring thing but it just feels like another milestone and like things are finally getting going. Super busy day at work before that though so hopefully it’ll come round quite quickly. Now to get up and decide what to wear for this stifling 31 degree weather 😫 I usually love it but pregnancy has me a. Worried about overheating as I know we’re not meant to and B. Hotter than usual anyway.

Hope everyone has a good day xxx

@ew1990 good luck for your scan! Let us know how it goes! 💕

@SmileyT tbh there isn't a right or wrong way, you have to do what you feel is best for yourself! 😄 I know loads of people that got most of the things in the 3rd trimester!

@Wishful30 🤞🏻hope things work out for you, keep hopeful x

@SkyBlue20 ah that's a lovely idea, I can totally understand that, I also feel like there's still plenty of things that could go wrong at any time 😫 and I won't want to buy too much incase it does! Hope your booking appointment goes well, defo another milestone 😀

Worrying myself today as feel surprisingly ok this morning (a marked contrast from yesterday), despite having slept terribly, and it was also nine weeks last time when the sac stopped growing (not sure about the baby as body had started reabsorbing it by the time my 12 week scan rolled around) - I’m 9+2/9+3 today. Hoping I feel worse as the day goes on and I only have to wait until Sunday for a scan... praying for nausea!

SkyBlue20 · 12/08/2020 07:44

In fact, looking back on my app, it seems to be 9+3 that my symptoms lessened last time, too.

Report
JennyMY · 12/08/2020 08:46

@Skyblue20 Try not to worry about symptoms - isn't it about now they are supposed to start easing off anyway? Bizarrely I have had no symptoms since the start except tiredness and congestion which means I am constantly worried so easier said than done I know. Hopefully all is well and baby is just giving you a break!!
Xx

Hi ladies, just checking in to see how you're all doing. I'm finally feeling less sick at 18 weeks (thank god) and am beginning to feel slight movement from baby. We had a private scan done at 16 weeks as DH hasn't been to any, and we found out I have an anterior placenta, which is why I'm feeling fewer flutters this time than I did with DD. 20 week scan is in less than a fortnight! Feel nervous just mentioning it! Hope you're all well. X

I'm here now ladies. I feel like the minute I'm going to stand up I'm going to be sick. Proper poorly 😣 hopefully I can wait untill I've been seen

Had a weird dream last night that I went for a scan today and they told me I was 8 weeks rather than 6 weeks and I argued and said no, the baby had to be due on the 5th or 6th April because that's when my MIL died. Not quite sure why I would argue it to be honest, as making it to 8 weeks would be amazing after the last 2 pregnancies!
But that's dreams for you...

I've just been to the toilet and I think I had some very light spotting when I wiped - brownish. Massively freaking out now. I am only 5+6 so think its too soon for EPU to check anything, I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I have been frantically googling Cylogest side effects as I'm really really hoping it might just be irritation from taking the progesterone pessaries but I am already fearing the worst :(

bubblybon20 · 12/08/2020 11:11

@ew1990 how did the scan go?
Hope it went well x

@RosieJess91 I've have some really random dreams!! All part of the fun haha!
Would be nice if it turns out to become real tho! X

@Poppy10121 hopefully it's nothing serious for you, a few people on the thread have experienced spotting. X

@bubblybon20 yeah it went well. No picture as it looked the same as it did last week.

She couldnt find any reason for the bleed. Guess it was just one of them things. It was the same lady who scanned me when I had my MMC and she doesn't say anything untill she's done all her checks. It's nerve wracking

Report
ew1990 · 12/08/2020 11:27

@wishful30 I'd give it another few days and then take a pregnancy test again. I know it's so worrying this early pregnancy stuff.

@poppy could it be implantation bleeding. I'd still give your EPU a ring and see what they say.

Report
Workingmama1 · 12/08/2020 11:51

So glad scan went well @ew1990!

Hopefully the spotting is nothing to worry about @poppy10121, I know its scary to see though, sending hugs. You could ring the EPU and they might see you, they scanned me this week at 5+4.

Report
Wishful30 · 12/08/2020 12:30

@Poppy10121 how are you doing?
Call the EPU as they can take bloods to see the level of hormones.
Even had my GP send me for bloods before cos I was worried very early on.
Hope all is ok for you! Xx

Just had an accidental 30 minutes nap! Was feeling so tired so sat on the sofa for a minute, next thing I know I wake up after half an hour... I still have zero energy and so much work to do before I finish today
