Thank you @SkyBlue20 I've had lots of peppermint tea this morning and it seems to have helped, managed to keep down most of my toast, wahey!

SkyBlue20 · 15/08/2020 14:33

@Wishful30 Not harsh at all! Glad it could make you smile. Glad you’re doing ok. Will you get a specialist referral now? Enjoy that wine!!

@Workingmama1 Eeeek, hopefully 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 Got to wait the entire day tomorrow as my appt isn’t until the evening (was the last one they had available) 😫 I think finding the balance continually is impossible and that there will be good days and bad days and that’s ok. I did a lot of reading on early pregnancy after loss when in my spiral last night and it said it’s always bound to get worst just before an appt/scan and around the times previous loss(es) have happened, but that’s not to say it won’t rear its ugly head unexpectedly outside of that, too, and it’s completely normal. I think my spiral is definitely related to the fact baby stopped growing at 9weeks last time and I’m 9+6 today and the fact I have the scan tomorrow. This is the worst I’ve been in terms of anxiety so hopefully all will be ok tomorrow and I can go back to trying to think positively. I read a post yesterday that really helped saying ‘if something could go wrong, it could also go right’ and I’m just trying to maintain focus on that now. It’s human nature to default to the worst case scenario, it’s a self preservation thing, but I’m trying to fight that, as I’m sure we all are. Let’s see how we get on 😂🙈

@ew1990 Me too! Constant boob squeezing going on here! Mine have been a bit less sore the last few days, too, but as you say, symptoms can just give us a rest for a few days before coming back with a vengeance. Thank you for the luck 💕

@RosieJess91 That’s fab! A friend of mine swore by peppermint sweets, too, for her nausea. Glad you’re doing a bit better. Xx

Sakura54 · 15/08/2020 14:48

@SkyBlue20 I understand what you’re saying about scans. It’s hard to believe ours will be successful after last time. My scan is really soon. It feels like just the other day I was in this same position (only 4 months ago). I’ve made it this far again without having a normal MC, so surely it’s going to be ok this time? Surely it’s unlikely to be another MMC? This is what I’m trying to tell myself... Also it’s very normal to feel like crying. There’s only so much feeling like crap we can take and hormones flying everywhere, but you will deffo feel better soon.

@ew1990 I haven’t been bloated the last couple of days either, but I think it’s because the heat made my appetite even worse. Just had my fave food ever though - kebab and chips drenched in chilli sauce. Nothing can stop me from eating spicy food; not even heartburn lol but that symptom seems to have disappeared.

Earlier I was feeling breathless, tired and nauseous but had to walk home, then smelt someone’s disgusting fag smoke and started retching in the street! How ugly.

Thank you for the warm welcomes ladies 😁 I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one nipple squeezing 😅 mine only started hurting a couple of days ago whereas last preg they hurt a week before AF due.

I contacted my gp and the epau but epau not interested until 6 weeks and gp became obsessed with ectopic and wanted to and I quote ‘stick her fingers up me and touch my cervix’. I was like no thanks I will wait and see. I’m not in any pain other than the normal mild cramps and twinges etc, bits of lightning crotch. Got a good bloat going on. My epau have me booked in for an early scan on Friday 28th August.
@SkyBlue20 good luck for your scan tomorrow 🤞🏻

ew1990 · 15/08/2020 15:03

@sakura with you on the spicy food. I have chilli sauce with everything! My craving with DD was chicken strips chips and chilli sauce from the local takeaway and I cried my eyes out one night because it was shut 😂😂

ew1990 · 15/08/2020 15:06

@pugprincess that will soon be here. I remember thinking the 2 weeks between my scans would drag but it went so quick. Fingers crossed for you. I think we've all the the cramps and twinges in early pregnancy and the bloat!

Pugprincess · 15/08/2020 15:55

@ew1990 thank you! Do you get scans from epau every 2 weeks? New to this xx

ew1990 · 15/08/2020 16:10

Only because of miscarriage. I had one because I wasn't sure how far I was, then 1 10 days later where I was 6+5. Then they gave me one more 2 weeks after that just for reassurance and I was 9 weeks. I then got discharged. Ended up with another scan last week due to bleeding but everything was ok and I was discharged again. I think it depends on the epu some are really awful about giving out scans but some are really nice

Poppy10121 · 15/08/2020 18:02

@SkyBlue20 @Workingmama1 it’s such a challenge to challenge the negative thoughts, especially coming up to key dates from last time. I have been having counselling since the MMC and the counsellor said every time you catch yourself starting to think/imagine the worst just replace with “I am pregnant and will have a spring baby” that’s it - not romanticising the future or making tones of plans but remembering that for now, you have a viable pregnancy. Don’t know if this will help you, it has helped me a bit. I can imagine the lead up to a scan is worse and I think it’s why I’ve put off booking one. Xx

Pugprincess · 15/08/2020 18:04

I was ok all day and thought it had gone but just had some pale brown discharge. Can I upload a pic? X

ew1990 · 15/08/2020 18:06

@poppy that's a good way to think.

Its like my mind just wont let me think about having a baby come march.

But I know each day I wake up feeling a bit more positive.

It will be weird not having a drink on Christmas day with dinner though. And it's my 30th this year, i might pretend it's not happened and have it next year when I can celebrate 😂😂

ew1990 · 15/08/2020 18:07

@pugprincess I dont mind if you do x

Pugprincess · 15/08/2020 18:25

Sorry I know it’s gross. Have any of you had this x

As far as I know brown blood is old blood. And it doesn't look like much. Id just pop a clean pad on and keep your eye on it. It could be implantation. And some women do get a bit of blood around the time their period would be due

Pugprincess · 15/08/2020 18:39

@ew1990 thanks mines all messed up cause I never had a period after MC. But because I had lots of dark brown spotting before my MC I now hate brown and don’t want to see any of it 😩 How long does the baby need to implant? I thought that but was a quick process. I can never find any information about it online other than the 6-12 days post ovulation that it can implant x

Pugprincess · 15/08/2020 19:23

I’m really really fed up. Sick of doing things right eg healthy eating and resting lots if this is going to happen anyway.

Furbabymum15 · 15/08/2020 19:28

@Poppy10121 thank you. How far along are u or how far where you when u started using the pessaries x

Poppy10121 · 15/08/2020 19:51

@Pugprincess that doesn’t look like much blood at all, hopefully it’s nothing 🤞how far along are you? (Sorry if you’ve said, this thread is so long!) midwives told me before you can get bleeding with a low lying placenta forming too?

@Furbabymum15 I started the pessaries at about 4 weeks, but I have heard of people taking them from ovulation and I’ve also heard of people starting them later. I think it’s only until 12 weeks and then you stop them.

Pugprincess · 15/08/2020 20:00

@Poppy10121 hi I think I turn 5 weeks either tomorrow or Monday going by when my egg might have released. Hard to date as this is straight after a mc. I’m feeling so frustrated and angry. I really don’t want to go through two weeks of brown stuff before a mc starts again, that waiting and worrying really messed me up. If it’s going to happen I’d rather it just got on with it quickly. I really hate this. I was hoping I wouldn’t get this again. It’s making me really angry.

Poppy10121 · 15/08/2020 20:55

@Pugprincess I think like @ew1990 said it could be implantation around that time, fingers crossed and sorry you’re going through this ☹️

ew1990 · 15/08/2020 21:16

@pugprincess I never had a period after miscarriage. Got pregnant straight away and I remember writing on our ttc thread that I though AF was coming coz I had loads of brown blood. It might just be your body clearing out. Please try to stay positive even though I know its hard.

Ring your EPU on Monday and just explain and see if they can get you in.

Pugprincess · 15/08/2020 21:41

Thanks Poppy10121@ew1990 thanks that good to know. I already tried the epau and they refuse to see me until 6 weeks x

I think I’ve just resigned myself to what will be will be. There’s literally nothing I can do about it. I can’t use anymore energy on this.

Pugprincess · 16/08/2020 04:51

Just to update I think I’m roughly 5 weeks today (could be less-doubt it’s more). Cb still on 2-3 weeks. Not going to get hung up on that though because the hcg has to be quite high to get that. Difference is 153 for 2-3 and 2753 for 3+. Then the week by week hcg level ranges are hugely different too. Plus a lot of ladies saying they had 3+ then went back to 2-3 and panicked but were fine, can be to do with strength of urine too. So basically I think I’m going to hold out as long as poss to do again either that or I just won’t. My 10mlu cheapies are much darker so that’s a good sign anyway. Just got to be patient haven’t I. No amount of testing would stop a loss anyway. Plus I can get my 3+ and lose it later so the whole things just daft of me really xx

Workingmama1 · 16/08/2020 11:44

@Pugprincess it's such a tough place to be. I think that almost all of us have experienced either concerning pain or bleeding this time round and it's so much harder to deal with after a loss. I came across this on another thread which I've found helpful.

It's also good that you are getting progression on the ICs, I would certainly ignore the weeks indicator especially if you're not sure when you conceived. I have two in a draw that I really want to do but figured it would probably be better for my state of mind if I didn't do them.

How is everyone else doing today? I woke up feeling sick for the first time, which I'm taking as a good sign. But I also just lost my shit at my husband who put my frozen sausage rolls in the fridge instead of the freezer meaning I can't eat them. I've been dreaming of them all morning as something I think will ease the sickness (they are not something I would normally eat!) so was fuming when I couldn't have them. Seriously considering a trip out to Greggs 🤣

@Workingmama1 that’s so lovely thank you. I will screen shot that and remind myself when I’m wobbling. I have one cb left but I will either hold out a good week or so or I won’t bother at all. See how I go with symptoms etc. How far gone are you? I think I get moments of slight nausea but I’m not sure if it’s in my head or anxiety at the moment. I would quite like to feel unmistakably sick to reassure me as I didn’t get sickness with my MC 😔 ps. Send the husband to Greggs 😃
