@Anonymom31 congrats on the scan, glad everything went well for you ☺️

LottieDot · 20/08/2020 20:10

@anonymom31 gorgeous scan!

I'm another one who couldn't wee during booking appt! I feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one haha.

We're really lucky here and partners are allowed at scans. My 12 week scan is 11 Sept, but I'll only be 11+5 then. Im pleased its soon but also worried that I won't be out of the 'danger zone' then

LandMammal · 20/08/2020 21:06

Just had 12 week scan today and everything was great 🎉 glad as I had to go on my own. Found out that they had changed the rules and that partners are now allowed to attend but they didn't inform me, so that threw me a bit and I was gutted.

We are still in limbo as to when to tell people. Nobody apart from us two know at the monent 😬

It's exciting now that everybody is coming up to their 12 week scans!

chloxhunt · 20/08/2020 21:27

@LottieDot aye mines the same day but it'll be 12+2

LottieX · 20/08/2020 21:31

Had my private scan today thinking I'd be 10 weeks exactly and little baby was measuring 10w3d, completely shocked and so happy that they seem okay and have a heartbeat! First time it's felt real!!

Very exciting time for the group coming up in the next couple of weeks!

Clara9 · 20/08/2020 21:35

Have you guys got bumps yet? I think today is the first day that I’ve noticed a difference. Have feel feeling bloated for ages, but now it feels like a bump, not just bloat.

chloxhunt · 20/08/2020 21:45

Anybody else's glands up? I've read somewhere that it's normal for lymph nodes to swell during pregnancy mine sure have

bobloblawlawblog · 20/08/2020 21:59

@Clara9 I'm definitely showing. Have been for a few weeks really. And unfortunately my face looks more full! I'm a size 8 normally and 5ft6 and am wearing 12 at moment. So already up two clothes sizes!

bobloblawlawblog · 20/08/2020 22:01

Also my god, boobs. I do not like them being bigger. Forgot how annoying it is having to squash them in clothes!

Did get some cracking bras from Sainsbury's today though, non wired scoop neck ones. V comfy.

Clara9 · 20/08/2020 22:18

@bobloblawlawblog glad it’s not just me! I go back to work on Monday (I’m a teacher) and half my work clothes don’t fit. Have three more weeks until Im going to tell anyone, so have been putting comments about eating too much over lockdown on my work WhatsApp 😂😂😂

bobloblawlawblog · 20/08/2020 22:30

@Clara9 I'm a teacher too. Back in just over a week. I know they're going to clock it straight away it's so obvious. I just look pregnant is as simple as that. Can't even pass it off as just lockdown weight gain as we worked all the way through before summer!

bobloblawlawblog · 20/08/2020 22:31

Also today I ate a whole Victoria sponge cake. No shame.

TheFoz · 20/08/2020 22:35

Not feeling as full of symptoms as I normally am today. Apart from a dry retch out of nowhere this morning. I got my 12 week scan date this morning for September 2nd. So I’ll hold tight until then, if the worst has happened then there’s nothing that can be done. I never thought I’d miss nausea as much!

chloxhunt · 20/08/2020 22:53

@TheFoz honestly i would think too much into it! I'm fine one day and not the next I don't feel sick at all I just start being sick out of nowhere and that was this morning first time being sick due to morning sickness

Clara9 · 20/08/2020 23:05

@bobloblawlawblog you’re my hero!

bobloblawlawblog · 20/08/2020 23:08

@Clara9 I'm the last half an hour have polished off half a sourdough loaf toasted with butter. This kid is going to be made of dough.

Clara9 · 20/08/2020 23:11

@bobloblawlawblog oh that sounds nice! I’ve gone mad for crumpets with loads of butter

bobloblawlawblog · 20/08/2020 23:14

Crumpets! That's what I want now!

Dreamcatcher007 · 21/08/2020 00:12

@LandMammal Just catching up on messages! Completely with you on the choice between ice cream and core exercises Grin Are you generally still doing all the core exercises? I have a proper little bump now at 12 weeks, and not sure if it’s still safe for core exercises? Or do you adapt them?

NoGinNotComingIn · 21/08/2020 07:25

@LandMammal that’s a shame, I rang up on the morning to double check they still weren’t allowed in, I assumed it would be the case as we are in greater Manchester. Great everything was well though ☺️, that’s the main thing.

We aren’t telling people for a while yet, we want our children to know before other people but they are quite young so we aren’t sure when to tell them. I wanted to wait for the tests for genetic abnormalities to come back in the next week or so and then tell them but my husband thinks we should try and wait until 20 weeks. I’ve never really had a bump by then but as this is my third baby and I’m quite slim I’ve got a feeling it might look a bit too obvious by then! I’d rather our parents didn’t just guess.

Sussexbysea · 21/08/2020 08:06

I’ve got a bump and my back is bending already. Ouch!!

EmzG20 · 21/08/2020 08:36

Has anyone ordered from boohoo just looking at maternity clothes and wondered what sizing was like

aureliacecilia · 21/08/2020 08:39

@NoGinNotComingIn We're hoping to hold off telling our four year old until after the 20 week scan but I don't think it's going to be possible to hide the pregnancy until then and I don't want mums at the school gate asking him how he feels about being a big brother before we've told him.

I'm 9 weeks and WFH so very lucky in that sense. I've put on some of my old maternity clothes for comfort. I'm usually a 10 to 12 and would be fine in big 12s at the moment but I don't want to waste money when I have maternity leggings that will do the job. I need to ebay most of my maternity clothes as DS is an August baby and this one is due in March so completely opposite seasons.

loobyloo1234 · 21/08/2020 08:46

Morning all

I definitely have a bump - more so in the evenings after stuffing my face

I'm a bit Hmm about it as it's my first and my DSis was all 'oh no you shouldnt be showing yet' ... I'm pretty sure it's bump and not just fat but maybe I need to wire my mouth shut? Smile

bobloblawlawblog · 21/08/2020 09:04

Emz the one maternity top I have from them is small. Their clothes in general run small, I tend to size up
