@loobyloo1234
Partners have been allowed in for the last two weeks in my area. I have everything crossed that covid cases don’t increase so it stays like this until our scan.
He would literally be called in when it’s time for the scan and then he’ll have to go back out.

EmMissingnormalfood · 20/08/2020 13:13

Those that are getting their scan dates late, did you refer yourselves or did your GP do it?

I referred myself (my gp couldn’t care less) and received everything direct from them within two weeks.

loobyloo1234 · 20/08/2020 13:24

One of the lucky ones @EmMissingnormalfood Smile

Was hoping it may change where we are but no such luck. Hence the private scan

I got referred for scan by midwife, who I'd contacted through the online procedure at the local hospital. GP also couldnt care less but referred me to the website

EmzG20 · 20/08/2020 14:27

@Sussexbysea if your on Facebook join the group called boob or bust. It tells you how to measure properly and gives you a starting size, honestly you won't look back I found I'd been wearing the wrong size bra for ages even after being measured in a store.

ChilternsHan · 20/08/2020 15:09

EmzG20 · 20/08/2020 15:59

Has anyone tried anti sickness bands before.
My husband has booked for us to go away for
Our first wedding anniversary in two weeks time, I'm worried about going because I feel sick all the time, I've not actually been sick but do dry heave quite a lot. I want to be able to enjoy the weekend without worrying where the nearest toilet is.

ElsiesJourney · 20/08/2020 16:58

@Anonymom31 such a lovely scan!! Congratulations got to wait two weeks for one... starting to let myself get a little bit excited!!

TheFoz · 20/08/2020 17:12

@Anonymom31 beautiful scan photo! Can I ask why they are going to induce you at 38 weeks?

bobloblawlawblog · 20/08/2020 17:15

Emz call your doctor and ask for cyclizine- it does help. There's no need to feel sick all the time as there's quite a few safe medicines

Mrs1989 · 20/08/2020 17:44

@Anonymom31 so pleased you had good news and that’s a beautiful picture! I hope you enjoy sharing the news now with your family and friends xxx

Anonymom31 · 20/08/2020 18:10

@TheFoz I have to be induced because I am diabetic :)

I say induced but im going to opt for an elected c section :) no judgment please guys. My little boy they induced me it took 4 days i tried to go without pain relief I wanted it as natural as possible but I hadnt slept in 4 days and had to opt for an epidural and it had taken so long my sons heart rate had dropped and they rushed me down to theatre anyway!

I came out of that with some terrible nightmares and a lot of pain.

After speaking in depth with my doctors the elected was suggested so I think ill go with that _

aureliacecilia · 20/08/2020 18:15

I might have an ELCS too @Anonymom31. The midwife is referring me to the consultant to discuss birth options and plans in case of another early arrival. I had an EMCS first time as DS was breech and I unexpectedly went into labour early. I wonder if this one will be breech too.

TheFoz · 20/08/2020 18:21

@Anonymom31 That’s why I was asking, an induction so early would take days. Do what you feel you need to do and don’t mind others opinions, online or offline.

Sussexbysea · 20/08/2020 19:29

@Anonymom31 I’ll be having a section too. They give us all the choice on how to have baby, everyone will be different.

I’m actually going to see a midwife to talk all things post birth. My placenta came out like a jigsaw puzzle so I’m worried it’ll happen again. The only thing is, this time I’m so aware of the risks of a placenta being like that. Isn’t it funny how first time round that so many things don’t cross out minds.

If there are any first time mums on here, I’m happy to share my birth details with you. I had a lovely section (despite being cut open 😂)
