@DSP21, yep, that’s what I read! Preference for savoury food, and the lack of morning sickness. But obviously bearing in mind that Kate Middleton had pretty horrific morning sickness every time and 2/3 were boys!

@NoGinNotComingIn, congratulations, what a great pic! To be honest, I don’t think all of us would end up being March (I might even end up April, if all is well 🤞), so you may as well stay, especially if we’re better, as @chloxhunt says 😂 xxx

Mrs1989 · 18/08/2020 19:55
@Mrs1989 hahaha love that 😂 my mum only had one successful pregnancy
@chloxhunt it’s amazing how different my mum’s experience was each time! I was tricky apparently but only because she had an epidural and couldn’t really feel when she was being told to push! She said my sister’s birth was the longest and most difficult. I said “why does that not surprise me?” (Joke! I love my sister really! 🙊)

Mandy0831 · 18/08/2020 20:01

@Mrs1989 @DSP21 I'm the same. I been craving savoury or spicy food. I usually have something sweet daily but not for the last week or so.

@NoGinNotComingIn this group is really good. I don't know how I feel about going on Facebook either. I know some groups have a WhatsApp group. We could consider that.

aureliacecilia · 18/08/2020 20:08

My Facebook group with my son was very good but I didn't join until about 30 weeks. I am happy talking about me anonymously on a public forum but I felt differently as I approached my due date about talking about DS. I preferred Facebook after he had arrived and it worked really well. I've lost touch with my group now but it got me through the first year. I found it harder to keep up after I went back to work after mat leave.

If DS' pregnancy is anything to go by, I could be having this one around 19 Feb (I'm due 25 Mar by LMP) - that's if I reach about the same gestation as I did last time! I'm holding out for a March baby though.

aureliacecilia · 18/08/2020 20:10

I should also say that I have got a great WhatsApp group of women I met on here when we are all thinking about TTC! I've known them about five years now. It's such a lovely source of support. Just nice to have people to touch base with. We started on FB but moved over to WhatsApp once we got to know each other. My other group was much bigger and related to my due date.

Thack · 18/08/2020 20:10

That's an amazing picture! @NoGinNotComingIn thank you for sharing :-)

I'm sorry to hear of so many people worrying. It's natural to be scared, especially with bad past experiences (I can't imagine the worry).

To share a little positive thinking: I'm a believer in the Serenity prayer. I'm not religious, but the concept feels right:
... grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference.

Do what's right for your baby. Hold your head high that you have done what's best. Anything after that is out of your control. Do what you need to do to keep sane and healthy ladies 🤗

Anonymom31 · 18/08/2020 20:14

@NoGinNotComingIn im so happy you got good news _ sorry im a bit late to the party but have been at work all day and only just catching up.

Do any of you ladies have bumps yet? Can you feel your uterus when you lie down. I can't feel anything and I don't really have a bump either. Xx

LandMammal · 18/08/2020 20:14

Hi everyone! After lurking in the background for a while now, I thought it was about time I joined 😜

Expecting my 3rd on 4th of March (going by LMP!). Currently have 1 of each who ar 4 & 2yrs old.
12 wk scan on Thursday, can't wait! Will try and keep it a secret for as long as possible but I'm starting to show so doubt I'll be able to go many more weeks without telling close family & friends. Anybody else starting to get a bump this early?!

Just devoured half a pot of Haagen-Dazs instead of doing a core workout 🙈
Oh well, there's always tomorrow 😜

NoGinNotComingIn · 18/08/2020 20:36

@Mandy0831 whatsapp is alright but I find it far too easy to type in the wrong conversation! I've got lots of different group chats that are active everyday like a nursery mums one, a work one, an in laws one etc etc I'd hate to be discussing my colour of discharge that day and send it to 30 school mums lol!

Sussexbysea · 18/08/2020 20:38

@NoGinNotComingIn beautiful scan.

You may still have a March baby, stay here 😘

Thack · 18/08/2020 20:39

@LandMammal totally approve of the haagan daas! I'm only at 8 weeks so not showing yet. How long did you keep the first two children quiet for?

Porcupette · 18/08/2020 20:40

@LandMammal congrats and definitely don’t worry about the ice cream. Tomorrow is a new day!

I’ve told close family and friends - I know we’re early but it already feels like such a big change for me and my husband and we decided if something did go wrong it’d feel even stranger for us to pretend like nothing happened. Very much personal choice though and only because we’re both very close with parents and siblings.

No bump as yet @Anonymom31 but I’m not slim to start with so doubt anything would show anyway BlushSad. I did have insane bloating at about 6-8 weeks which meant I couldn’t do any of my jeans up so I caved and ordered a couple of maternity bits even though it’s early! Now seems to have evened itself out but you can’t tell the stuff I’ve ordered is maternity so will get plenty of wearing when I’m back to work soon!

MrsAndMrs · 18/08/2020 20:41

@NoGinNotComingIn what a lovely scan picture!! 😍

I'm itching for my scan! Time is passing sooooo slow!

MrsAndMrs · 18/08/2020 20:48

@LandMammal I'll be 10 weeks on Friday and I'm looking very rounded, I can't wear anything fitting because it's too obvious now but I want to keep things quiet until we've had the 12 week scan....

Porcupette · 18/08/2020 20:57

@MrsAndMrs I know what you mean about time - I want it to hurry up for the scan but also slow down for back to work Grin

Is this your first? And/or are you quite slim to start with? (If that’s not too personal), as I think both of those can make a difference in how early you show.

chloxhunt · 18/08/2020 21:10

@Anonymom31 no bump yet only 9 weeks tomorrow, think it's going to be hard to tell when I'm showing because my tummy is already that shape (not fat my muscles just don't go in)

MrsAndMrs · 18/08/2020 21:15

@Porcupette this is my second baby, saying that, my eldest just turned 12! 😂 I'm average build, wouldn't call myself skinny but not fat either. My mum said she popped fast with her second and third but I had no idea it would be this fast!

ChilternsHan · 18/08/2020 21:18

I tend to carry my weight around my middle normally, probably down to having wine a few times a week Grin, so I don't think anyone would clock I have a bump but to me it feels like it's changed shape this week (from 9 to 10 weeks). I'm not too tall and prone to bloating at the best of times though.

When I asked my husband if it looked like I was pregnant or just my usual shape, his response was 'this is a trap'.

ChilternsHan · 18/08/2020 21:25

Lovely scan pic @NoGinNotComingIn Smile

DH and I laughed at the trap comment, we'll done to your Mr 😂
GreysLove · 18/08/2020 21:38

Think I'll be one of the last to get my scan...14th Sept! And just got a letter to say the location and date of my booking appointment has been changed, now an extra 4 days to wait for that! Eugh!

I'm loving savoury at the moment and normally love a bit of chocolate. Managed to go out a short jog after work which felt good and has made me nice and tired, hoping for a good deep sleep.

@krj2608 how are you getting on? Xx

LandMammal · 18/08/2020 22:01

@Thack just family and friends after 14weeks I think as I was fed up of lying about not drinking & avoiding booking holidays/trips!
I'm scared of telling work mainly, feels like I've been on/off for the past 4 years with maternity or furlough!

Thanks @Porcupette 😃

@MrsAndMrs know the feeling! hard to say if it's the bloating or bump tho 🙈

MrsAndMrs · 18/08/2020 22:13

@LandMammal I can't believe this is all baby so its got to be bloat. Its solid though so not a hope of hiding it! 😂

Csj123 · 18/08/2020 23:02

Congrats on the wonderful scan pic @NoGinNotComingIn, how exciting!
I'm still waiting for my scan date to come through, feels like its taking forever!

@Oldermum80 sorry you're having such a worrying time, I hope you can get seen by your local epu.

I'm 9+5 and yes I have a bump already, didn't expect it so soon but it's no. 2 and ds1 is only 15 months so I guess my body is stretching fast given last pregnancy was fairly recent or something?! I'm having to wear baggy clothes to hide it for now!

Excitingly I managed to hear little bubbas heartbeat a couple of nights ago with an at home doppler, I didnt think I stood a chance being so early and it took a while to find but there was no mistaking the fast beat when I found it! Made it finally feel real and has helped fill the time waiting for the scan.

Anyone else who doesn't need to pee often?
