@ChilternsHan you’re better than me, I would definitely have caved and had the doughnut Blush I can’t really decide WHAT I want, I haven’t figured out any rhyme or reason to it. What appeals one day doesn’t at all the next!

@Mandy0831 thanks, finally bit the bullet and called, scan 1st September!

Taylortyler · 18/08/2020 15:57

Met the midwife for the first time today - she took about a pint of blood for testing which was hideous... but I have my date for 12 week scan- 10th September! I can't wait!

LottieX · 18/08/2020 16:16

@Taylortyler Sounds like you had a lot of blood to give! They had five goes at my arms and then gave up and used my hand instead, I'm now covered in bruises! My scan is 9th September 🙂

To anyone that's been pregnant before do you have to give much more blood?

Taylortyler · 18/08/2020 16:18

@LottieX I have issues with my thyroid so I'll be giving blood every 4 weeks - I just bruise like a peach lol

Oldermum80 · 18/08/2020 16:44

Colour is back when I wipe. Just as I was starting to feel less anxious...😔

CazWte · 18/08/2020 16:47

I'm 12 weeks today! Haven't got my scan until Mon tho 😩

chloxhunt · 18/08/2020 17:05

@Oldermum80 go get it checked if you're worried! It might be nothing it's one of them things that makes you think the worst because it's blood, my discharge is weird today it's clear and watery with white bits and keep thinking it's amniotic fluid but I only had a scan yesterday and they'd of picked up on it!

DSP21 · 18/08/2020 17:06

@Oldermum80 try not to stress, call the gp to get referred to go straight to epu if you feel anxious. It might be nothing, we're all here for you x

Mrs1989 · 18/08/2020 17:47
@Mrs1989 I'm sure everything's okay! When I tell my mum something she's like I can't remember what it was like it was years ago 😂😂 tbf I've only started getting proper morning sickness today!
@chloxhunt haha! My mum seems to remember things quite well, I already have the full story on each of her children’s births - all very different stories! My younger brother apparently flew out before she’d barely got her hospital gown over her head 😂 she said it didn’t hurt at all! xxx

Mrs1989 · 18/08/2020 17:50

@Thack

Hi *@Mrs1989* I'm surprisingly calm for some reason. I'm kind of glad for mild-to-no symptoms. Maybe it's because I don't 'feel' pregnant yet. It's sinking in now that I have a scan date, otherwise I'm being quite objective.

The human body is amazing, it will know what to do. Have faith in yourself, you're stronger than you think

Thanks @Thack I will try to take your approach. Work was busy and annoying today so that at least took my mind off things for a while! xxx
Mrs1989 · 18/08/2020 17:58
@ChilternsHan I'm the opposite! Totally craving all things savoury and usually can't get enough of the sweet stuff! I miss the feeling of eating choc, cake, icecream, desserts, but am currently sat eating a block of cheese 🤦🏽‍♀️
@DSP21 THIS IS ME! I have always loved my sweets but the sweetest thing I’ve eaten in weeks is Bevita biscuits! Mini Cheddars, cheese sandwiches and Babybels are what I want now! At least I haven’t gone off fruit and veg, trying to keep it balanced... xxx

Mrs1989 · 18/08/2020 18:01

@Oldermum80 sorry this is stressing you out. Agree with the other ladies, try to get looked at by EPU if you can xxx

TheFoz · 18/08/2020 18:02

Oh @Oldermum80 go and get checked out. It may be nothing but the anxiety will eat away at you 🌺

DSP21 · 18/08/2020 18:14

@Mrs1989 😂 according to the old wives tales we're having boys!

chloxhunt · 18/08/2020 18:16

@Mrs1989 hahaha love that 😂 my mum only had one successful pregnancy

chloxhunt · 18/08/2020 18:21

@DSP21 so am I then 😂😂 but I've never really been a fan of sweet things though the other day i wanted some of those fizzy sweets (like those fizzy watermelons)

Jebbs · 18/08/2020 18:25

@EmMissingnormalfood listeria in the soil? I thought that was toxoplasmosis? Im any case you'll be fine if you wash them thoroughly as it'll be washed off with the soil.

NoGinNotComingIn · 18/08/2020 19:00

Had my 12 week scan today, all good ☺️, I’m actually due a few days earlier than the last scan said so I’m 12+4 today and now due 26th Feb not 1st March. I’ll stay in this group though as the feb group didn’t seem as nice 😆.

chloxhunt · 18/08/2020 19:13

aureliacecilia · 18/08/2020 19:20

Congratulations @NoGinNotComingIn!

Porcupette · 18/08/2020 19:37

@Oldermum80 sorry you’re worrying, I’d agree with the others and say go and get checked out and hopefully it’ll reassure you.

Congrats on the scan @NoGinNotComingIn, how exciting!

Taylortyler · 18/08/2020 19:38

@NoGinNotComingIn what a great scan picture!

DSP21 · 18/08/2020 19:42

@NoGinNotComingIn ahh your scan looks amazing!! So pleased for you! I felt the same about the April group too, this is by far so much more supportive and lovely!

NoGinNotComingIn · 18/08/2020 19:44

I was anticipating a feb baby anyway both my children arrived at exactly 39 weeks so I just assume this will bake for the same amount of time. I joined the feb group but I think they were already moving onto facebook which I'm not sure about anyway as I'm not planning on telling people for a while yet.
