@MrsAndMrs snap! I have mine on 7th September too. It can’t come soon enough.

I’m freaking myself out today, someone gave us fresh greens from their allotment and I’m freaking that I’ll get listeriosis from them. The internet is terrible at scaring people!
I also forgot to take my pregnacare tablet for two nights and beating myself up now.

I just want to hear the baby’s heart beat and see the blood results are ok. This worry isn’t good.

EmMissingnormalfood · 18/08/2020 11:08

@Mandy0831 that’s good news. How are you feeling after your scan?

Mandy0831 · 18/08/2020 11:14

@EmMissingnormalfood I think I feel a little better but I'm still cautions As there still a month until I'm 12 weeks. I still want to wait until the 12 weeks scan before I tell anyone and I think the chances of miscarriage reduces a lot.

NoGinNotComingIn · 18/08/2020 11:21

@EmMissingnormalfood I don’t understand why you think allotment veg contains listeria? It comes from things like unpasteurised milk, pate, deli meat and some soft cheeses. I’d have thought veg not sprayed with a tonne of pesticide was better than your shop bought veg anyway? I’ve always eaten my in laws home grown veg pregnant.

Charlotte2020 · 18/08/2020 11:36

@EmMissingnormalfood if you just rinse the veg before eating it should be fine.

EmMissingnormalfood · 18/08/2020 11:39

@NoGinNotComingIn it’s carried in the soil apparently.

@Charlotte2020 thank you. I know that’s should be fine but sometimes I need to hear others confirm it too, so thank you. The internet is terrible for building up fears.

DiscordandRhyme · 18/08/2020 11:48

Anyone else suffering with atrocious migraines/headaches? Spent Sunday evening, most of yesterday and also far of today with a raging headache it's getting unbearable now. Paracetamol does nothing. :(

Sussexbysea · 18/08/2020 11:53

@DiscordandRhyme I’ve suffered with them. I took one paracetamol and it really helped. I suffered with it for two days and gave in to the pain.

chloxhunt · 18/08/2020 11:57

@DiscordandRhyme I had my first migraine the other day since January

Phie04 · 18/08/2020 12:17

@DiscordandRhyme yes! Suffering in the mornings when I wake up. Feels like I cained a bottle of wine the night before. I also keep getting shooting pains and sharp pains in one side of my head when I stand up. Feels like dehydration but im on my third glass of water today its just going right through me!

Babafarmer · 18/08/2020 12:21

@ChilternsHan @Phie04 mine is on the 1st September too 😊

NoGinNotComingIn · 18/08/2020 12:22

@EmMissingnormalfood but you wash veg before eating it whether it's from tesco or your mate's veg patch. I think you are overthinking things a little, step away from Google!!

EmMissingnormalfood · 18/08/2020 12:26

@DiscordandRhyme I have headaches too. Mine are usually if I haven’t had enough water, or weirdly when I eat naughty food like chocolate. I don’t have any remedies though other that drinking cold water and napping. Oh and a dark room.

JTB123 · 18/08/2020 12:46

My 12 week should be around 12tb sept time! Got a private 9 week on Saturday eeek!

Feeling crappy this week, quite nauseous, don't want to eat anything except a subway turkey breast footlong on Italian herb and cheese 🙄🤣

Sussexbysea · 18/08/2020 13:29

@JTB123 THAT SOUNDS LUSH!!!! We’ve opted for a chippy lunch, I can’t face making anything at the moment.

The nausea and constant sore boobs are really making me feel off at the moment too

DSP21 · 18/08/2020 14:06

@JTB123 that's so exciting!! I'm 12 weeks on 12th too but was told I wouldn't get the date for my scan till a week before. Planning a private scan at 10 weeks, counting down the days!

JTB123 · 18/08/2020 14:12

@Sussexbysea I always thought pregnant people were milking it... like come on surely it can't be that bad!? The nausea is so bloody real. 🤣

@DSP21 yeah my midwife told me to expect it with little notice 😩 I'm still able to work at home most days so hopefully I'll be able to wangle itttt without having to tell my boss 👌🏼

ValidUser · 18/08/2020 14:22

All I want is starburst and sausage rolls. I normally hate pork.

Porcupette · 18/08/2020 14:34

@ValidUser I’m obsessed with starburst at the minute too!

I finally had my booking in appointment, still no scan date although I’m 11+1 according to LMP. Midwife was lovely and wasn’t impressed I haven’t had a scan date through. She said call the hospital if I haven’t heard by Friday but husband thinks we should just call now (politely obviously!). What would you guys do?

@Sussexbysea chippy lunch sounds amazing, very jealous! @JTB123 my nausea is kicking my * right now too!

DiscordandRhyme · 18/08/2020 14:36

My 12 week scan is on September 11th - luckily DH is able to attend as rules just changed.

I tell you the headaches a nightmare as tried heat and cold, paracetamol, drinking plenty - nada.

Can't wait until trimester 1 is over as with both my previous pregnancies I flourished in the second.

Mandy0831 · 18/08/2020 14:58

@ValidUser I would call now. As ur already 11+ it's best to get something. Hopefully they can book you in for next week. Just say I have been recommended to call as I'm 11 weeks and haven't received a scan date. Just wanted to know if one was booked for me.

EmMissingnormalfood · 18/08/2020 15:00

I’ve been craving baked beans the last few days and have actually enjoyed eating them rather than fulfilling a craving and getting nauseous again.

I seem to be able to eat tomatoey stuff again which is nice. It made me really nauseous before.

Cold fruit is going down well too. Nothing at room temperature though.

ChilternsHan · 18/08/2020 15:00

Oh my gosh why did you mention starburst... I didn't know that's what I wanted!

Every day at lunch I think about donuts, but have so far resisted - I normally have next to zero sweet tooth, much preferring salty snacks but I'm completely off crisps (normally my favourite). Been trying to snack on fresh and dried fruit but it sure ain't a donut!

IWantAPetUnicorn · 18/08/2020 15:02

My 12 week scan is on 9th Sept!

DSP21 · 18/08/2020 15:16

@ChilternsHan I'm the opposite! Totally craving all things savoury and usually can't get enough of the sweet stuff! I miss the feeling of eating choc, cake, icecream, desserts, but am currently sat eating a block of cheese 🤦🏽‍♀️
