@Oldermum80, a bit late checking this today but really pleased to hear your news and that you are getting regular check-ups. I know the worry does not fully go away but I hope you are feeling much better now than you were xxx

TheFoz · 14/08/2020 17:30

@Oldermum80 fantastic news!! Delighted for you!!
I met my partner at 38, I will be 42 when I’m due, all going well. We have had three losses in the last 11 months. It’s a scary and anxious time but we’ll get there 🌺🤞

Oldermum80 · 14/08/2020 19:01

Thank you everyone for your kind messages. Still can’t believe there is actually a baby in there and feels like I dreamt it all. I am going to try and stay positive!

aureliacecilia · 14/08/2020 20:25

Hope you're alright, @Oldermum80. Wishing you well!

BeckyDeck · 14/08/2020 20:45

Hi everyone,
I'm due March 26th and it is my first, I'm so excited and scared at the same time. I've got no idea what to expect and I don't want to tell family/friends yet as it's only been 8 weeks.
Feeling tired, and moody mostly and sick in the morning/noon.
I know it is only the beginning but there are so many things to learn and prepare!

Csj123 · 14/08/2020 21:05

Pleased to hear your good news @Oldermum80, it's hard not to worry but I hope you can rest a bit more easily now.

Welcome @BeckyDeck!

JTB123 · 14/08/2020 21:16

Welcome @BeckyDeck ! I'm 8 weeks tomorrow too, telling our parents next weekend hopefully if all is ok at the private scan 🤞🏼 I wanted something to show them rather than just telling them ! X

BeckyDeck · 14/08/2020 21:26

Hey @JTB123 and @Csj123 Thank you!
@JTB123 My scan is also next week, good luck with telling your family it is an exciting moment.

chloxhunt · 14/08/2020 22:20

Just started bleeding and I've got cramps, I know what's happening I might leave this group now, I hope everything goes well with all of your pregnancies!

IWantAPetUnicorn · 14/08/2020 22:21

@chloxhunt I’m so sorry.

ValidUser · 14/08/2020 22:58

@chloxhunt will you go to a and e to get checked out?

chloxhunt · 14/08/2020 23:26

@ValidUser I am waiting for a phone call they'll be calling in the next 2 hours they might suggest that who knows

ValidUser · 14/08/2020 23:33

I really hope everything's ok @chloxhunt. Early pregnancy is so scary. x

TheFoz · 15/08/2020 05:07

How are you feeling @chloxhunt? I hope you managed to get some sleep.

LottieX · 15/08/2020 08:31

@chloxhunt you've been so supportive and reassuring to other people, I really hope you've just had a breakthrough and everything is okay this morning. Think of you today x

chloxhunt · 15/08/2020 09:06

@TheFoz @ValidUser @LottieX they told me it was a threatened miscarriage and all I can do is relax and just wait, they said there was no point in giving me a scan as there could be a heart beat and then 5 mins later there might not, my mums gone through it lots of times so she's been there for me, was supposed to tell my dad today but that's not happening now in case I'm losing it, I'm not getting that many cramps but it feels sore, I need the toilet but I'm kinda scared to go

Oldermum80 · 15/08/2020 09:25

@chloxhunt I am so sorry. I had a threatened miscarriage with my second child. I can’t believe they won’t scan you. They could see that the blood was coming from me and not baby. Could you ring the EPU on Monday? I would think they’ll be better than A and E.

chloxhunt · 15/08/2020 09:39

@Oldermum80 if I'm still getting it on Monday I'll ring my GP but it's turned into a pinky brown rather than a salmon pink which it was last night, but I've still kinda got period like cramps and they do feel different to the cramps I was getting, ahh did you? I bet that was a relief that it was coming from you!

ValidUser · 15/08/2020 09:47

@chloxhunt brown means old blood, so hopefully the actual bleeding has stopped.

I have a small subchorionic haematoma and was told I might get some brown spotting, but it's small enough that they're not worried.

chloxhunt · 15/08/2020 09:52

@ValidUser yeah I know! But it was really pink last night but I'm just sort of spotting but I guess it might be a good sign that it's now brown and not pink? But I still have no idea, I'm still getting pains in one side but I don't know if it's to do with that or just random pains

Oldermum80 · 15/08/2020 10:29

@chloxhunt it’s such a worry. I’ve read so much about implantation at 8 weeks or getting blood when you are due your period and cervical irritation causing spotting but it doesn’t take away the worry especially when you are experiencing pains too.
I hope the fact it’s turned brown is a good sign though.

chloxhunt · 15/08/2020 10:39

@Oldermum80 yeah I hope it's a good sign too! But I'm not putting any bets on it, it's just hard having to wait it out because you just have no clue!

chloxhunt · 15/08/2020 10:41

@Oldermum80 unfortunately I don't have that hunger that I was having so I think I'm losing symptoms but then I could just not be hungry due to the anxieties

ChilternsHan · 15/08/2020 10:55

Sorry to hear your going through such an anxious time @chloxhunt hope you can rest up and take care of yourself, and fingers crossed it's one of the reasons the other ladies have suggested

Oldermum80 · 15/08/2020 11:12

@chloxhunt I have hardly any symptoms but usually love food and there’s very little I feel I want at the moment. I felt that I was losing mine too as I suddenly felt that I could eat all the things I didn’t want. My boobs weren’t as sore either and I didn’t feel as tired. It’s so easy to think things have changed because you are so anxious and looking for signs. I was sure it had gone when I went yesterday.

There have been so many sad endings on here already but lots of positives too. I’m crossing everything that it is positive for you but I know that doesn’t make you feel any better and nothing will change how you feel right now.
