@Sussexbysea on Saturday morning. Only booked it too put my mind at rest

Sussexbysea · 13/08/2020 10:35

@Taylortyler any pains can be worrying. I think our we are so in tune with our bodies at this time that we over analyse everything. I get pains too, then I usually need the toilet. Haha!

DSP21 · 13/08/2020 10:50

@Oldermum80 I don't have any advice to give except that I'm (we're all) here for you to vent your anxieties. It's such a tough time at the best of times and theres pretty much nothing we can do except sit and wait. The only thing you can do is try to keep as busy as possible. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you for your scan x

Taylortyler · 13/08/2020 11:00

Oh and today is apparently the first day of actual sickness. I lost breakfast and I've just eaten a piece of dry toast praying that I'm not sick again Confused

Boredinthehouse12 · 13/08/2020 11:08

@Mrs1989 I just had my booking in appointment and the midwife advised that lack of symptoms ‘don’t necessary correlate to anything negative’. She said that she’s knows plenty of women who have had minimal symptoms and have gone on to have healthy pregnancy’s. I guess until told otherwise, we just have to count ourselves as lucky!

ChilternsHan · 13/08/2020 11:13

@Oldermum80 I've read that our bodies adjust to the hormones and basically kind of get used to the feeling of being pregnant - I know it's easy to write that though, but hard to actually think it! Fingers crossed for Sunday.

Have you told any close friends or family that you can talk it over with? Obviously you can talk openly here, but I suspect we're all anxious and trying to convince ourselves we're not most days!

Babafarmer · 13/08/2020 11:13

@Oldermum80 please don't feel alone. I feel exactly the same. I'm literally counting the hours until Saturdays scan but at the same time I'm dreading it. I'm convinced myself that it is a negative outcome and because of that I've enjoyed the last 6 weeks at all. It's consuming my life.
I have phoned today for a cancellation but the clinic is closed the next two days so I have no choice but to wait it out. I pray that everyone who has upcoming scans has a positive outcome xxx

MrsAndMrs · 13/08/2020 11:26

Anyone else really suffering from any and every smell making you feel nauseous??? I'm 8wk+6 and had to put off all my plug ins at home, disposable face masks at work make me gag, coffee, sprays, and even my dogs 😂
I literally have the nose of a bloodhound right now!

chloxhunt · 13/08/2020 11:39

@MrsAndMrs I'm exactly the same 😂

MrsAndMrs · 13/08/2020 11:47

@chloxhunt it's making me crazy! Haha

I've not posted much in here but nice to read all the messages and see how everyone is getting on. I've been super anxious and had a successful scan done at 7wk+1....doesn't stop the anxiety though!

JTB123 · 13/08/2020 11:54

Anyone else struggling with things to eat? Every time I think of food I feel sick, the only things I want to eat are not healthy at all 🤣😩 McDonald’s and Subway are the only things I can think about stomaching!

LottieX · 13/08/2020 12:04

@JTB123 yes to this. The thought of onion in anything makes me want to gag at the moment!

My nose is now super sensitive, my poor cats think I'm crazy wrenching at their food.

chloxhunt · 13/08/2020 12:10

@JTB123 yes! The thought of ham and cheese and toast and coffee makes me literally gag like I cannot I work at McDonald's to and the thought of a Big Mac makes me wanna throw up glad I'm not working yet that's to my manager allowing me to stay off on furlough (I had to shield anyway)

JTB123 · 13/08/2020 12:36

@chloxhunt not going to lie I have job envy right now 😂😂 I would be smashing a double cheese burger and chicken mayo every night

Clara9 · 13/08/2020 12:37

All I can keep down is really stodgy things like pot noodles.

Taylortyler · 13/08/2020 12:57

@JTB123 @chloxhunt I would eat McDonald's cheeseburgers all day if I could but I know if I eat 1 I'll probably be sick!!
@MrsAndMrs I have actually turned into a sniffer dog - my husband walked in the door the other day and I could smell the cheese and onion crisps he'd eaten as he left work from the sofa yuk!

MrsAndMrs · 13/08/2020 13:07

@Taylortyler 😂 hahahaa crisps have been one of the few things I can stomach! My wife is a big red bull fan and I can't stand it when she comes near me after drinking it! 🤢😂

ElsiesJourney · 13/08/2020 13:11

I didn't want McDonald's..... but now I do!?!?

I'm having a tough day. Been signed off work because of my light headedness/ blood pressure.

My husbands doing everything at home and I know it's starting to take it's toll on him. Work is crazy busy but I'm not there. I've bailed on my friends again for lunch.

Feel like I'm being a bad colleague, bad wife and bad friend.... I also can't do any of my normal 'Feel good' things because of how bad I feel.

The only thing that I'm holding on to is that I'm being the best mummy I can be. Anybody else struggling with not managing normal life???

CazWte · 13/08/2020 13:11

Hi everyone! Smile Hope you don’t mind me joining? I have been reading all your comments and lurking in the background!! I’m currently 11 + 2 and due 2nd March. Feeling so unwell every day, terrible sickness, headaches and boy am I exhausted!!
I had my booking appointment, half in person and half on the phone and now early awaiting my scan on 24th Aug when I will be around 13 weeks. Gutted it’s not the week before, don’t think I can wait much longer! Looking forward to chatting to you all xxx

chloxhunt · 13/08/2020 13:23

@Taylortyler now you mentioned cheeseburger I want a damn cheeseburger 😂😂😂

EmzG20 · 13/08/2020 13:24

Anyone else finding they really fancy something and then cooking it but can't eat it. I feel really nauseous today the only thing I really fancy is a McDonald's but I can't go and get one

chloxhunt · 13/08/2020 13:24

@JTB123 haha love that 😂 it does get boring though 😂 I never really ate it till I worked there 😂

Marshmellowskies · 13/08/2020 13:24
