oh my god Turtle - the end is close, just think this time tomorrow you might have your babe in your arms, how exciting. Best of luck and I'm looking forward to hearing what you have and all about it.
Hows Bellie doing today?
My mum has been and gone and no signs so just chilling tonight. Whatever happens babe will be here by 10th November.

Bellie · 29/10/2004 21:09

I've just signed on Beckswith! No movement today but have been very emotional - cried for about 3 hours this afternoon as I heard that one of my friends who was due after me has just gone into labour. I am very pleased for her but that it is not me.
I am now holding onto the date of 5th November when I think my db will be here.
Sorry that it didn't work out for you with your mum and everything.

beckswith3 · 29/10/2004 21:21

think you are right to think 5th November, if it arrives beforehand then thats a bonus, and I keep telling myself I'm not late, it can be 2 weeks before or two weeks after, dday is just a approx date, not one to stick rigidly to and hey you could have yours on Bonfire night, how cool when it gets older, fab parties! Really fancy some chocolate now, might smile sweetly at DH and see if he'll get off his backside and go to the shop for me. I can but try!

Bellie · 29/10/2004 21:24

ooh chocolate!! Now there's a thing......!

beckswith3 · 29/10/2004 21:33

he must be in a good mood 2nite, I now have twix, maltesers, revels, kit kat white all laid out in front of me - gotta go munch, make the most of it before I go mad trying to lose weight to get back to pre pregnancy weight!

cerys · 29/10/2004 21:36

hello ladies

haven't posted in ages but congratulations to all of you with new babies and sending labour vibes to the others.
My baby took us by surprise and arrived a week early on Sunday 24th October. Also, we thought it would be a 3rd DD and it's a little boy! He was 8lb 15oz and I managed to push him out and avoid a section, though I have to say it was as painful as I remembered with DD2.
I am at the happy one minute and crying the next stage, but I am really thrilled with our little family. DS is nocturnal, so DH and I are wrecked, but it's all a phase, isn't it?
Best comment of the hospital experience? (from the lady who shows you how to bath a newborn) - "are you going to have another, love, to even out the numbers?" Er, can I let my stitches heal first?!

beansprout · 30/10/2004 09:23

Lol at "even out the numbers"! Congratulations on your new ds Cerys. And thank you for reminding me that this nocturnal bit is a phase. I was called out of the shower to watch ds be bathed. He started crying and that set me off. I think the midwife wished she hadn't bothered!

BW3 and Bellie - best wishes to you both. Hope the chocolate helps (it works for me) and that you have comfortable weekends.
Oooh, am all anxious about Turtle....

beckswith3 · 31/10/2004 09:05

well done cerys - bet you are overwhelmed with your little boy. understand what you are saying about the comment on evening out the numbers, number 3 is overdue but throughout this pregnancy people have commented on how I'll have to have no4 to even things out, yeah right! DS1 thinks we should have 5 because thats how many we can fit in a MPV, great reasoning.

Wheres Bellie then? see she didn't log on yesterday but then neither did I. Had a crappy day yesterday and DH really annoyed me, so cried lots yesterday plus DS2 is not well and didn't settle until midnight. Bellie are you still with us?

Turtle may have a babe in her arms right now...aahhh

Turtle35 · 02/11/2004 10:53

Baby Olivia has arrived!! She even managed to make her appearance in October!! I will post all on the birth announcement but at the moment I am still in lots of pain with lots of stiches and overwhelming joy I didn't think existed.

i'm still here but no postings from Bellie for a few days. She must have gone into labour.then there was 1!!

huppa · 02/11/2004 11:06

Fantastic news Turtle !
Welcome to baby Olivia.
Looking forward to reading your birth story.

beansprout · 02/11/2004 11:22

Hope you are ok Beckswith3. Seems our Bellie is busy somewhere - either that, or she is trapped under a heavy object somewhere (what are the chances, eh?
Sending some virtual chocolate and birthing moose vibes to you xx

florenceuk · 02/11/2004 15:06

Great news Turtle - can't wait to hear all, and I love the name (DS would have been an Olivia had he been a DD!)

nailpolish · 02/11/2004 15:08

olivia is a beautiful name turtle, and congrats xxx

Bellie · 03/11/2004 10:41
