@excitednerves @loobeelou are they electric or just the manual one xx

Report
loobeelou · 28/08/2020 12:03

@Kpm7 both the freestyle and symphony are electric.
The freestyle has a rechargeable battery so it can be portable.
The symphony is big and bulky and can only be powered from the mains. I'm not sure you can buy the symphony either. It's the ones they use in the hospitals here so I imagine it would be expensive!
Both have double pumps.

Ah god I’m feeling so batshit today. I’m now crying about things that are ridiculous but have made me feel criticised. Haven’t really experienced this yet in my pregnancy.

@Babyhope98 I get the leg cramps too. I've read online that potassium helps which is why I try to eat a banana a day haha.. seems to help a little. If I stretch my legs in the morning whilst still in bed, mostly always get a cramp haha so have learned to stop myself from doing it.

@peachypetite hope your ok lovely xx

Our minds and emotions do get the best of us at times. I cry over anything these days.

Yesterday my mum inlaw telling me how to cut a potato. I’ve been cutting potatoes 15 years 😂

@Missworry92 I read about magnesium And calcium too so have been trying to up that. I’ve been avoiding bananas lately because of heartburn but going to try to have them daily again 😄

@Babyhope98 yes to leg cramps! I used to also get hip pain but have my pillow in a different position now (running down the whole length of my body)

@peachypetite I've been feeling quite sensitive lately too, blaming it on the hormones

@Amyyy1 how are you doing lovely?

@StephRae how are you and the twins doing? Hope you're all ok, have been thinking of you x

@danielasummer Thank you for asking, I'm waiting on some blood test results atm but I'm starting to think that won't show anything!

I've started organising and packing a couple of little outfits in my hospital bag to cheer up my mood though 😅

I’ve told my mum how I’m feeling, as she was there last night and just said I’m basically a bit overwhelmed with everyone’s comments on everything from feeding, my bump size, names etc.

@peachypetite I've cried multiple times at peoples (mainly older colleagues) comments. They would never dream of having an opinion on our bodies if we weren't pregnant but all of a sudden we are carrying babies they think it's ok!! And then throw in a few strongly opinionated views on how to raise said baby is enough to get to anyone. I know most don't mean it nasty but it still doesn't make it ok

😢 just feeling very down today and teary. @Amyyy1 completely agree with you. People don’t think. Obviously we are hormonal and sensitive, not always sleeping very well, and things get to us more than they would usually.

I have a very random question...

Has any one tried floating therapy/sensory deprivation tank before?

Just booked a session as it's currently free for NHS staff... no idea if I will love or hate it but thought it was worth a try for free! Apparently it's relaxing in pregnancy!

@peachypetite hope you're feeling better! Sometimes it just gets too much for sure, I'd be upset too if I got a lot of comments and judgement. I think @EithneBlue you're right as well, I think it's a mixture between people feeling like they have this additional right to tell you what they think of your body or your choices during pregnancy and then we get made to feel like our reactions about it are down to hormones rather than justfied because are people just being dicks!

I've had a few people piss me off today, the doctor started it off as I've had a bit of what I think is sciatica for months now but it got much worse this week to the point I could barely walk. Finally managed to speak to the doctor and he was like ohhh I'll prescribe you cocodomol I was like uhhh no I'd like to see a physio. He also pissed me off by passing comment on whether or not people should find out the sex of their baby. He took me by surprise and asked if I'd found out and I was like no...and he responded REALLY enthusiastically like oh great!!! that's great that's the right choice!! like um ok dickhead didn't do it for you and I don't think you should be judging women's choices either way??

THEN my mum has gone and announced in my sister's hen do whataspp that I'm pregnant. Which is totally weird as I don't know most of them. The ones I do know a bit but haven't told I was going to tell in person. People basically just ignored it thank god. And she DOES NOT GET IT why I would be bothered by this. I just get told I need to not get worked up and they'd be able to tell in person anyway like WTF...I'm sure I'll piss the baby off as much one day but jesus christ she's so frustrating!!!

Anyone got a posterior placenta and have quiet days? I’m 27 weeks have felt her move a bit today, but not as much as the past couple of days think maybe it’s a growth spurt as bump feels achy too. Not the first time this has happened but as I’m getting further makes me more nervous when she’s a bit quiet. Love it when she moves all day so I don’t have to worry 😅 x

Pram got delivered today! Went with the ickle bubba and have to say I’m really chuffed with it, looks great and was so easy to assemble.
Also I got a covid antibody test via work and pretty much the whole building have come back positive so sometime in the last 6 months we’ve all had it. Pretty scary considering I work with quite vulnerable adults but reassuring a bit aswell because I’ve had no symptoms at all. Only a couple of staff suspected they may have had it so seems the majority of us breezed through it 🤷🏻‍♀️
Anyone else starting to get leaky nips? I’m officially producing now 😭
