@ChampooPapi picked up some Lansinoh nipple cream and shields from the supermarket tonight. Great tip 👌 xx

Pregnancy cravings:
Chocolate
Ice cream
Nuts
Chewy sweets
I also had a sudden craving for donuts the other day, then I woke up dreaming of cheesecake

@chubbyhotchoc hope everything is ok and it turns out to just be one of those pregnancy things.

@Babyhope98 I've been having a bloody nose too, its not every day but every couple of days.

@chubbyhotchoc hope everything goes well on Monday. Hopefully it's just pregnancy related as others have said.

My dad was going to pick me up tomorrow so I could go up to Yorkshire and stay with my family for two weeks. I packed my bags and got everything ready this evening and at 10pm it was announced that where ny family live is being locked down due to Covid. I haven't seen my family since March. I could cry Sad

@Babyhope98 yup, another nose-bleeder here. It’s gross. I haven’t had nosebleeds since I was a teenager.

So I just started a new job in customer service. It is behind a counter but I have two other workers with me not 2 metres a part it’s like a bank so touching money/envelopes often I do wash my hands often though and now I’m starting to worry should I have done it. I have been desperate for a job, I haven’t worked since lock down and it took me so long to find one and I was going stir crazy inside. I was just reading up on it and it says you’re particularly vulnerable in the third trimester I had hoped to keep working to further in my pregnancy but now I’m starting to panic. Also hearing about the second wave hasn’t helped. What would you ladies do ??

@Babyhope98 have your employers done a risk assessment for you? Legally they have to.

@chubbyhotchoc glad all going ok otherwise on the home front, yes my 24 week scan is Tuesday so will be wishing away the weekend as usual untill then! 24 weeks is 'medically viable' so it seems a real landmark to reach

@Bobbieblu so good to see your user name come up, I've been wondering how you've been doing, I was getting a bit worried and was thinking I must tag you soon to see how you were getting on. So glad you've sorted the section, do you actually have a date then? We both have less then a hundred days now I think because we are delivering early, I'll be having mine at 37 weeks

Bobbieblu · 31/07/2020 07:51

@ChampooPapi thank you for thinking to checkin with me, the last few weeks (months?!) have been hectic so haven’t had much time to post but been following everyone’s news. How are you feeling? My bump is definitely growing fast! Trying to make the most of being able to bend whilst I can!

Section booked for 37+2 on 16 Nov, it’s a relief to have a date to work to and just praying that they stay put till then (I’m trying not to google micro-preemies!). I think you’re a couple of weeks ahead of me and so you must be aiming for early November? Viability date is a huge milestone! Are you having growth scans every 4 weeks? Starting to feel like I’m constantly at the hospital between consultant appointments, scans and injections etc.

Hi everyone, place-marking 😊 131 days until my due date!

@chubbyhotchoc really sorry to hear about your lump. I've had many lumps and scans over the years and breasts can change so much over time, for example I have lots of fat deposits on my breasts so that causes lumps, I also have a muscle lump in my right armpit, there can be many explanations for breast lumps, added to the changes they are going through during pregnancy. Nonetheless it is stressful as you're always thinking 'what if' but all we can offer you here is hope and a virtual hand hold, praying it all goes ok for you at your scan x

@ChampooPapi Tuesday! Woahhhhh!!! Can't believe how quickly that has come around for you (although I bet it doesn't feel quick your end!!) can't wait to see scan photos of your little girls, and how amazing that you'll be 24 weeks and medically viable, I bet you will feel so relieved on Tuesday. I hope you don't have an afternoon appointment for the scan! Have you felt any more movement recently? X

Cravings wise, I flit from Morrisons salt and vinegar twirls 🤤 to strawberry Haribo which is doing nothing for my old wives tales on gender prediction haha!

@danielasummer yep I’m doing sweet and savoury too... oh well!

Exciting about 24 week mark and scan @ChampooPapi! Xx

@danielasummer thanks. It is worrying. Mine are implants so I'm not sure if it's the edges of the implants gone a bit gnarly that I'm feeling. I'm actually feeling so negative towards them that I'm thinking I might have them out after baby is born.

Morning all, feel like my bump has popped. I'm 22+1 and there is no hiding it now (excuse the mess and sleeping dog!)

125 days left until due date for me 😱

Yes to the bleeding nose and gums. Managed to get an appointment at my dentist for a check up and hygienist. I spent a fortune a year or so ago on dentistry including implants and I really don't want it to all go to pot!

Cravings I'm pretty sure this baby is 98% crisp. It's pretty much all I want to eat, though I have to admit I've recently been eating something sweet in the evening as I can feel her moving afterwards, which is just the best

Hi everyone! Been a few days, I've found myself so distracted pregnancy wise that I am definitely neglecting my studying (finishing a Masters dissertation...) so I tried to stay off MN as I tend to get a bit too into it haha! But I missed all the amazing advice so I'm back! And I'm so happy everyone's scans have gone well Flowers can't wait for mine on Monday afternoon!

Thanks everyone for all the info on breastfeeding in the end of the last thread, I have added silicone nipple covers and some witch hazel and cotton pads to my list of things to buy!! I'm a bit unsure on pumps so I might wait until I'm further along and get some info from my NCT classes. Just want something cheap as a back-up really, especially so my husband can feed every now and then and I can rest. Also that Seraphine top looks lovely, I definitely want something like that for the house, along with a nice sling and of course a bassinet style thing for the living room.

Question about cribs/cots- has anyone used the Schnuggle bedside cot, or known anyone who has? (this one www.madeformums.com/reviews/shnuggle-air-bedside-crib-review/)

I know the Snuzpod is very popular and comes highly recommended so it's definitely up there as a favourite for us, but my thinking is that the Schnuggle could be converted to a crib for when the baby is bigger (we love a multipurpose item!!)- BUT it doesn't seem to be as popular and has bad reviews on John Lewis, and I'd be interested in people's experiences of it.

Hanrora06 · 31/07/2020 10:59

Oh, and I've gotten really into Ebay now- I've found that Seraphine top on there for £10! Plus I bought a waterproof double layer MaMidea baby wearing/maternity coat for £50 which is usually around £120 so I'm happy with that. I know it's still more than high street coats but I do love a proper waterproof coat, and I walk the dog a lot so I figured it was a necessity.

Aw thanks @lionsmum I bet it must be a hard time with all the emotions as well! I struggled in the hospital with my scan seeing all the twin pictures everywhere and a lady came out of her scan crying it gave me vivid flashbacks!
Sending all my love to you and your partner 💙

Lovely bump @confused107 mine seems to change every day but it's rock solid at the top - still a bit flabby at the bottom lol applying copious amounts of bio oil!

I seem to be on an eating spree this week anything and everything I can get my hands on!

I was meant to have my whooping cough yesterday @Babyhope98 but have moved it to next week quite glad!

I also go a phone call from the hospital saying they can do my glucose test on a Sunday which is so good for childcare! Woop!

@lionsmum I'm so sorry you are going through a difficult time

@Babyhope98 I had my jab last Friday. Arm felt dead for a day or two but it went

So I've just called the midwife. The pulling pain seems worse today and I'm not sure if movement has slowed. She thought it could be normal growing pains or SPD and said they wouldn't expect regular movements at this stage. She said I should be drinking 3lts of water on a hot day! She was very kind and said to see how I feel later and could call anytime and they would bring me in if I were very worried. It's hard to know though if I'm over reacting. Though when she suggested a paracetamol I thought, no way so it can't be that bad can it 🤷‍♀️

I'm also on the bleeding gum and nose bleed group! I feel like I need to clean my teeth all the time as well like my mouth starts to feel icky!
