Morning all! Hope everyone is ok this morning! I'm off for a scan at the EPU in an hour, am bricking it!

KatyCherry23 · 27/07/2020 07:42

Good luck to everyone who has their scans today. I've had bleeding and cramping again last night so bad I couldn't sleep. I'm still hoping they are hanging on but I can't wait to get a scan. Next week I am 6 weeks so I will book one.

ArtemisBean · 27/07/2020 07:47

Hi everyone, good to see a second thread. I only posted a couple of times on the other one as am a bit shy even through the screen 🙈 Good luck for your scan @Sh4mmy - deep breaths!

ArtemisBean · 27/07/2020 07:49

And @Headingtowardsforty - sending lots of baby vibes your way. And to everyone else with scans today.

EmzG20 · 27/07/2020 07:51

@Sh4mmy good luck for scan this morning.

Headingtowardsforty · 27/07/2020 07:54

@Sh4mmy everything crossed for you my lovely, let us know xx

Rainbow1808 · 27/07/2020 08:08

Hi everyone I’ve found the new thread😁 I’m 8 weeks today-I feel like it’s going quite quick but don’t want to jinx myself as it will probably start slowing down now! I just can’t wait for the 12 week scan. Good luck to everyone that’s having scans xx

Clara9 · 27/07/2020 08:18

Morning everyone,

Hope you’re all ok. Feeling tired and emotional the last couple of days. Good luck to those of you who are having scans today. Mine is in two weeks and I’m wishing time away! X

Babafarmer · 27/07/2020 08:19

Good luck everyone with scans today. I have everything crossed for you.

@EmzG20 I often wake up with cramps that's either ease by then self or after I go to the toilet xx

aureliacecilia · 27/07/2020 08:23

Good luck to everyone having early scans today.

@KatyCherry23 Hope you're alright.

Sussexbysea · 27/07/2020 08:43

I’ve seen lots of talk about people having their midwife book in early scans because of a previous mmc. Is this standard or something you need to ask for?

Good luck all with scans today!!

6+6 for me today. Still only symptom is tender boobs and I get very gassy!!

Oldermum80 · 27/07/2020 08:57

@Sussexbysea for me I was given a direct number for the EPU when I had my first miscarriage confirmed. They said if I fell pregnant again to call them and they give me a reassurance scan.

Jebbs · 27/07/2020 09:02

@Jenw2018 Sorry to hear that. Hope you're ok x

@Sh4mmy @Headingtowardsforty Special thoughts for you this morning. Hope it all goes well.

@NatJayne87 Welcome. There are a few of us with the same due date :-)

Sparkles715 · 27/07/2020 09:07

Place marking on this thread. I hadn’t spotted the new one.
Due 22nd March.

hypernova · 27/07/2020 09:12

I have a scan at 1pm today. I'm 6+2 so hopefully they'll be able to see something. Just need a bit of reassurance that things are progressing. Had a MC in January which is making me feel anxious. Hardly slept last night!

hypernova · 27/07/2020 09:15

Good luck to those also have scans today. I wish I could fast forward a few hours!

Jebbs · 27/07/2020 10:08

Random question, but does anyone else have no symptoms? After a couple of dizzy spells start of last week I've now not really had anything other than tiredness, but an 18 month old will do that even without anything else.

SmileyT · 27/07/2020 10:21

@Sussexbysea I was wondering the same about scans at EPU, I think it may be a bit of a postcode lottery as some people have been in for multiple reassurance scans and others say they have completely stopped reassurance scans at their trust 🤔 they haven't offered it to me after my MMC this year so I'm guessing it's not standard everywhere, I've booked a private one for 8weeks x

DSP21 · 27/07/2020 10:40

Hi @Jebbs I'm only 5+2 so it might be a bit early for me, but no symptoms at all. If I hadn't pee'd on a stick I'd have absolutely no idea I was pregnant!
Sussexbysea · 27/07/2020 10:42

@SmileyT yes, that’s what I thought too. I’ve got my booking in appointment tomorrow so it’ll be interesting to see what they say.

@Jebbs @DSP21 Similar for me at 5 weeks and 4 days. I'm a bit tired but not necessarily more than usual. My nipples are perhaps a bit sensitive and tender. Occasionally I feel a bit off if I haven't eaten in a while but it's not a sicky feeling and it's not really even nausea, and I'm fine after breakfast. I do feel a bit plump and round but it's probably in my head. I'm weighing myself as I'm starting this pregnancy 10lbs overweight and if anything I've lost weight from not eating junk food or drinking wine. (To be clear, I'm not dieting but I've stopped snacking on anything that's not fruit and veg so I'm not eating chocolate, crisps or other treats. I'm not a big drinker but even a couple of glasses of wine a week adds up and obviously that's stopped now too. I'm trying to maintain my weight until at least my 12 week scan and I know I'll probably but on another stone or two by the end of the pregnancy.) Maybe that's my body remembering what to do after DC#1! I would quite like to have some proper symptoms as I don't really feel pregnant and would like some reassurance.

aureliacecilia · 27/07/2020 10:55

*put on Hmm

Hope the scans go well and that everyone who is feeling uncertain or worried is alright.

Jebbs · 27/07/2020 11:05

@DSP21, @aureliacecilia Glad it's not just me... Was starting to feel the odd one out!

My nipples hurt but I've not put that down to pregnancy as my son has been pretty much constantly on and off my boobs with a lazy latch when we've been home (and sometimes when out) this weekend. I'm hoping it's just a phase as we're about to have 2 weeks of holiday and I don't think my nipples will survive.

c24680 · 27/07/2020 11:06

Good luck to everyone having scans today.

I'm 8 weeks today, tiredness has stopped a bit and so has the nausea but I'm sure it'll be back with vengeance! I'll have a midwife appointment next week and hopefully a scan soon after.

Just fill out my maternity care book, definitely feels more real now
