Hi! Can I join, just had my first scan and I'm due in the middle of March, so excited! My third but our 5th altogether and most definitely our last!

Sussexbysea · 29/07/2020 21:56

@Shinygreenelephant congrats! An early scan or a dating scan at hospital? How was it?

@Sussexbysea

Let’s talk boobs... my boobs are swollen and sore. And the whole nipple area, well you could land a helicopter on them.

Am I the only one??

God yes, mine are swollen and sore!!! I'm a 36G normally.... I think I'm going to have centre of gravity problems if they keep going!!!!

But agree it's a weirdly welcome symptom and a reminder!

Shinygreenelephant · 29/07/2020 23:09

@Sussexbysea was a private one as I'm far too impatient and anxious to wait until 12 weeks, all looked great I'm so pleased.

My boobs haven't changed at all but I'm still breastfeeding so I assume that's why, they usually blow up like balloons

Allfor1 · 30/07/2020 00:57

Hi can I join? I'm due March 22nd, Is anyone getting sickness in the evening? I'm so sick and dizzy every time I go to bed. I'm 6w +3ds it's getting worse every day.

Shep1808 · 30/07/2020 02:29

I went to emergency last night because I had severe pain and my gyn had told me he had concerns about an ectopic pregnancy. At 5 weeks 3 days they scanned me and saw a gestational sac! But I do have a cysy on my ovaries which is likely causing me pain. I am relieved that it isn't an ectopic pregnancy.

Sussexbysea · 30/07/2020 05:31

@Shinygreenelephant I’ve not booked one in yet, still waiting for my 12 week which I’m hoping they’ll do in a few weeks time.

How old is your child at the moment? My daughter is 3, so no breastfeeding here xx

aureliacecilia · 30/07/2020 07:26

Some children do breastfeed at three, @Sussexbysea! Lots of older children breastfeed. I stopped when DS was about 2y9m as that was right for us. He's 3 now too but his birthday is soon. There will be about a 4y7m age gap!

LottieDot · 30/07/2020 07:43

@Sh4mmy sorry youre still in limbo, it must be so stressful.

@Clara9 yep symptoms keep coming then disappearing! Im only 5+3 though and apparently most symptoms don't kick in until the 6/7 week mark. I really want some haha.

Sussexbysea · 30/07/2020 07:44

@aureliacecilia alright! Good for you, but you do realise that everyone’s journey is different right? For all you know, I could have stopped feeding my daughter at 2.5 years.....I’m totally aware that some people don’t feed at all and some people feed for a very long time. There’s no right or wrong

I’m sure @Shinygreenelephant didn’t take any offence to my message. Xx

Sussexbysea · 30/07/2020 07:47

@LottieDot I’m 7+3 and the symptoms are all here. It’ll soon be your turn lovely xx

OP posts:
DSP21 · 30/07/2020 07:54

@LottieDot I have no symptoms either at 5+5, I honestly wouldn't even know I'm pregnant if I hadn't peed on a stick! I'm waiting for something to kick in and I know i'll regret it when it does!

NewMumToBe2021 · 30/07/2020 08:02

Hi all, just had my early 6 week scan and due mid to late march. W London based. Will be going it alone. Just me and bubba.
No morning sickness just boosting and sore boobs. Sleeping is hard!
Just ordered a pillow off amazon.
And dare I so it. Frustratingly my digestive system has packed in! Any tips? Unfortunately increasing fibre intake, prune juice, and lots of water don’t touch is. I’ve always had a body that needs strong aids to make any difference 🤦‍♀️

Anyone W London based or Dorset based? x

NewMumToBe2021 · 30/07/2020 08:03

Bloating*

LottieX · 30/07/2020 08:05

@LottieDot My symptoms kicked in at 6w, never have a felt so nauseous and unable to eat - I mean it's good because at least I think somethings happening but bad because I feel so rough now most of the day.

Does anyone spend a good part of the night awake? I'm really struggling to sleep at the moment and just feel hollow and so hungry but then can't stomach food 🤨

Sparkles715 · 30/07/2020 08:08

I still have no symptoms and didn’t have any last time either. I wouldn’t worry if you have none either.

DSP21 · 30/07/2020 08:22

@NewMumToBe2021 i'm NW Lon based so may not be too far!

Sh4mmy · 30/07/2020 08:42

@Sussexbysea @NoParticularPattern @TheFoz @Mrs1989 @2020wish @LottieDot and anyone I might have missed! Thank you all for your lovely kind and supportive words! I'm finding this a really weird situation to be in and keep asking myself why it's happening! Whilst it's horrible any of us are having or have had similar situations it's nice to be able to speak to women who understand! I'm going to try and keep busy today, actually looking after my 1yr old nephew and 6 yr old niece...which will definitely keep me busy along with my 7 yr old!! It's definitely the not knowing that I'm struggling with, and also not knowing what the plan will be once the loss is confirmed! Anyway, i shush now!!

Hope everyone else is well! @Sussexbysea how are you feeling xx

LuHen · 30/07/2020 08:47

My boobs are usually a 34D, but I do have implants. I'm already having to look for new bras today because they are so inflated and im only about 7 weeks. I hope they don't get any bigger haha! Im on holiday and so unfortunately don't have my booking in apt until 11 weeks. Do you think I'll have to wait ages to book my scan after that? Did you guys have your 1st apt in person? Xx

aureliacecilia · 30/07/2020 08:58

Absolutely @Sussexbysea. Sorry that you took offence by my comment - I meant no harm at all. I wasn't offended by your comment at all but I thought children only breastfed until 6 months old when I got pregnant with my first and if @Shinygreenelephant has an older child who is still breastfeeding then I wanted to offer a bit of solidarity. I am sorry that my comment upset you and hope we can just move on now. I felt quite alone when I was breastfeeding an older child and it's important to me to normalise it. How anyone chooses to feed their baby is entirely their decision and I don't mind at all whether you breastfeed or don't. Things can easily come across the wrong way online.

How old will your daughter be when your baby is born? Have you recovered from Covid19 now? I hope you're on the mend.

Sussexbysea · 30/07/2020 09:15

@Sh4mmy I’m good thank you. Three sickness is starting to wear off in the mornings which is good.

How you doing? Did you manage to get some sleep last night?

OP posts:
2020wish · 30/07/2020 09:27

@Shep1808 glad all is well and it’s not etopic! And yay for seeing the sac!
@NewMumToBe2021 we’re u able to see the heartbeat at 6 weeks? I’ve my 6 week scan next week

@Sh4mmy I’m sure it is a weird situation for you. Yes busy urself today and try and stay positive. Did u sleep much

NewMumToBe2021 · 30/07/2020 09:30

@2020wish yes she said surprisingly saw the flicker :)
Only had the early scan as had what I thought was a period so had bleeding. And the pregnancy was a shock.

2020wish · 30/07/2020 09:33

That’s lovely you saw it. I’m nervous. I’ve had a few early losses and never made it to the first scan so they are scanning me because of that’s so I’m hoping I see the flicker.

I’m sure that was a shock lol congratulations x

Babafarmer · 30/07/2020 09:52

@Sh4mmy I'm so sorry for what you are having to go through. What time is your scan tomorrow. Please stay on here and use it as a place to vent if it helps you feel better. I have today the children are a nice distraction.

Symptoms wise I had very sore boobs from about 4dpo and the have been really sore up until about a week ago (6 weeks). I'm now 7+4, I spend a lot of my day fondling them to see if the soreness has increased which it does in the evening slightly. But they are no where near as sore as what that were but always sore to poke Blush
My nausea is also very mild and I really wish it would ramp up a bit as I'm so worried about my boobs. I have never been sick and I just feel slightly hungover occasionally. I am always tired though and lacking serious motivation. I dragged myself for a walk yesterday afternoon and I was so out of breath. Bloating is much better see below. I have a scan and 6+3 last week which dated me 6+1 but but for now I'm keeping to my dates as I was tracking opk and bbt so feel I'm quite accurate with my ovulation date. I have a private scan booked at 9+6 so hopefully I have been lucky symptom
Wise and everything is still ok. I had awful cramps but they seem much less severe and far more intermittent.
My midwife booking appointment is next week at 8+3 I have to have a telephone consultation and then go to the practice afterwards to get bloods taken. The midwife booked this date for me when I phoned to self refer at 4 weeks.

@NewMumToBe2021 I was exactly the same. I digestive system slowed for about three days despite me being on a total binge and eating like a horse. Luckily I don't mind the taste of prunes and have had them most morning over the last week. I pleased to say after about three days everything is back to normal and my bloat is now just due to the extra calories I consumed
