Me! I'm due 8th Feb, and at 10w6d, I had a 8 week scan and my next isn't for another couple weeks. My last pregnancy was a MMC so fairly anxious to get to the next scan, wish it was sooner!

How's it been for you so far @babydust2412? 😊

Muriel84 · 19/07/2020 17:46

Me three! I had a dating scan privately yesterday and was given the due date of 14/2/20 ☺️ That was my third scan so far. My last nhs scan at 7 weeks gave me a due date of 15/2/20. I had two consecutive early miscarriages prior to this pregnancy. I’m 10 weeks and I don’t have any children.

So nice to see it wiggling it’s arms and legs yesterday!

My nausea had gotten better the last two weeks, but felt awful earlier today. I have off and on discomfort in my lower stomach, I guess where everything’s growing. Other than that just tons of gas and and quite bunged up. Which was commented on in yesterday’s scan!

I was chatting on one of the older feb threads but seems to have gone quiet.

babydust2412 · 19/07/2020 17:56

You ladies are so similar to me! I too had a miscarriage (the cycle before this pregnancy actually) so have been very anxious during this one 😐 but am feeling better now I'm approaching 12 weeks ❤️

@Muriel84 I also saw my baby wriggling so much at my scan, amazing isn't it 😊

babydust2412 · 19/07/2020 17:58

@Muriel84 I've had the same symptoms as you so far too, very bunged up, nausea here and there that's starting to improve and have had light cramping where everything's growing and stretching around xx

Muriel84 · 19/07/2020 18:06

@babydust2412 it was absolutely lovely! Made me feel a lot better. The cramping has been worrying me a bit. I found out I have a heart shaped uterus at my first scan which is something else to worry about. I miscarried the cycle before this pregnancy, and I miscarries the cycle before that miscarriage! But they were both early (less than 6 weeks). Still awful though.

The constipation is sooooo bad and it feels like something you can’t talk about! Nausea is more socially acceptable! I’ve been eating a huge bowl of all bran with raspberries for breakfast, lots of water, and lots of high fibre food through the day. Though I think that makes the wind worse! I found a really useful old thread on here about it. God knows what I’ll be like in a few months time if it’s this bad now! 🙈

Im due on the 20th of Feb :) I'm 9w1d pregnant. Bloated, hormonal, exhauseted and nauseaus. First pregnancy and waiting on a hospital letter for my first scan (cant contain the happiness) ❤️❤️❤️

babydust2412 · 19/07/2020 18:23

@Muriel84 I'm so sorry about your losses, but so happy for you to be pregnant again so soon! I understand what you mean I can talk about the regular symptoms but the tmi ones feel less talked about 😂 I've been worries abou cramping too but it is totally normal especially if it's not accompanied by bleeding and things xx

Congratulations everyone :). I'm so keen to chat to other Mammys to be but find these threads quite hard to keep up with sometimes. I'm due the 15th February with my first baby. I found between 7 and 9 weeks really difficult, I was so sick and couldn't keep a thing down, was really thankful I was off from work. I of course expected sickness and to feel rubbish but WOW, it was an eye opener. The last week I've felt a lot more myself which I'm really appreciating, just to be able to be functioning. How do people do it when they already have a wee one I do not know. Hope you're all keeping well and look forward to hearing about everyone's pregnancy journeys. X

Muriel84 · 19/07/2020 18:41

@babydust2412 I know I keep having to remind myself there’s a lot going on in there and it’s not surprising that I’d get a few twinges! It’s just the anxiety. The discomfort is worse when I do certain movements or eat a big meal. I’m trying to let myself feel a little bit happy about how things are going ☺️

@Anlyska that’s lovely congrats!

babydust2412 · 19/07/2020 19:06

@Muriel84 I'm telling myself the exact same things, same as you really my twinges get worse when I've eaten a lot or am super hungry or when I have a fill bladder/ lay in a strange position 😂

babydust2412 · 19/07/2020 19:08

@Scottishflower glad you're starting to feel better! That must have been so uncomfortable for you, I don't get how ladies do it with other children either, must be even harder, they're super mums 😂❤️

Hi, so I’ve recently found out I’m pregnant (first pregnancy) my last period was in May and I’ve done an online date prediction which says 28th February, I have also referred myself to the midwife which I should be getting a phone call tomorrow. Over the weekend I have had really bad sickness only keeping water down, is this normal? Does anyone know how long after that I will be offered a scan?

babydust2412 · 19/07/2020 19:10

@Shaz1515 Yes the sickness is very normal, it's your body adjusting to all the new hormones rushing around to help your little one grow ❤️ you'll be offered your first scan usually between 11-14 weeks or you can book private early scans at any time for around £80 if you're extra anxious like I was, I had a private scan and it was wonderful xx

@Muriel84 I started drinking hot water with lemon first thing in the morning and it's done wonders for my constipation, maybe just coincidence but feels like its helped 😅

I also have similar symptoms to you @Muriel84 @babydust2412 nausea when I'm hungry (so I end up eating all the time) and it doesnt take much for me to get exhausted.

Can't wait to reach the end of the first trimester!

@Anlyska congrats, I'm sure you'll get the letter soon ♥️

Anlyska · 19/07/2020 19:49

Thank you and congratulations to you too ❤️ Try to relax and keep a positive mind and everything will turn out just fine :)

Bugs0307 · 19/07/2020 19:50

@Scottishflower I agree on getting lost in these threads

Anlyska · 19/07/2020 19:53

@babydust2412 @Muriel84 Thank you and congratulations to you too ❤️ Try to relax and keep a positive mind and everything will turn out just fine Smile

Anlyska · 19/07/2020 19:56

@Bugs0307 congratulations to you!! Do you feel that first trimester is goimg quick for you, because it is taking absolute ages for me haha

NotOnlyCatMum · 19/07/2020 20:18

Hi guys, congratulations to all! I'm 11 weeks today, due 7th Feb with my first. My main symptoms are nausea when hungry, bloating and feeling super tired. But they seem to be better over the last two days, so fingers crossed. I got the symptoms from around week 6 and getting here felt like forever

Muriel84 · 19/07/2020 21:13

@Bugs0307 thanks! I’ll give lemon and hot water a go tomorrow morning! I was going to try pear juice as well as I heard that can help.

I agree at times the first trimester has felt sooo slow. I was ticking off the days for the first four weeks or so, then counting down between scans.

I get nausea if I don’t eat. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so hungry in my whole life!

Love your name @NotOnlyCatMum! I’m obsessed with my cat.

babydust2412 · 19/07/2020 21:44

My first trimester seems to be going so slow too ladies 😫 but glad I'm almost in my second now only 2 more days 😊

Hi I'm a 4th time mum to be, I've had a long 8 n half years break Lol, so I'm still getting my head around it. My due date shows 19th Feb 2021. I'm anxiously awaiting for my dating scan in a few weeks. Wanted to ask do we get to see the midwife before then? I forgot Lol, plus due to covid things have changed hard to get in touch from my doctor surgery.

Safxxx · 20/07/2020 00:44

Feel so breathless and getting lots of indegestion, and sickly feeling, I found ginger beer really helps.
