Hi all!

Oh I’ve also been asked to come back next week on the 24th as they wanted to reassure me further that everything’s ok! I should be almost 8 weeks by then 😇

Hi peeps.
I've read along your messages and saw that some of you are in a similar situation to me.
I've got 2 girls already, 11 & 8. I'm gonna be 40 next year. So by the time this one is 10, I'll have a 21 & 18 Yr old. That scares the bejeesus outta me. Lol.
I also feel the same regards this one lasting the course. I am feeling like things are going to go wrong. I would pee on all the sticks I could get my hands on, I just really afford them (lost job).
I'd love to have a reassurance scan (can I go fund one.....? Hmm) lol
I'm guessing if I was to pee on a stick, would the line get darker?

LilNona14 · 15/07/2020 18:50

My symptoms have been - waves of nausea, very sore boobs, very tired too. I'm getting anxious tho, as these seem to be trailing off
😕 my dates say I'm 6+1. Xx

bubblybon20 · 15/07/2020 19:11

@LilNona14 my symptoms keep coming and going, I'm 6+3. I have read and been told symptoms do come and go! X

LilNona14 · 15/07/2020 19:20

@bubblybon20
Thank u, I'm just so worried, it's been 8yrs since I last done this, I've had lots to drink AND been asleep a lot since then too. 😂
I just wish there was a window to see thru. Lol. Xx

bubblybon20 · 15/07/2020 19:27

@LilNona14 I know what you mean, I feel completely new to it all and it's only been 5 years for me! Have you got a local window to the womb nearby or have a look on groupon as you can get early scans for around £49! Which if you buy tests to do daily probably works out cheaper just for that extra piece of mind!
I'm looking at getting a non internal scan around 8-9 weeks! Hoping it'll be clear enough around then! As I had a miscarriage in April, I've never paid for extra scans before. But obviously feel more anxious this time around. X

Boo2020 · 15/07/2020 20:04

I've now changed my first scan to the 15th August..I didn't really want a vaginal scan done, I will be around 10 weeks then which should be clear to see baby x

bubblybon20 · 15/07/2020 20:05

@Boo2020 I also don't want a vaginal scan! I'm hoping to book around 8-9 weeks! 🤞🏻 it'll be clear! X

Hi everyone, can I join?

I’m 6+3 assuming a 28 day cycle but to be honest I’m not really sure! We discussed TTC at Christmas but were waiting due to upcoming travel plans with family, but as lockdown went on we decided to just go for it. I’ve been on contraception for 10 years so have no idea what my normal cycle is like and only had one natural period before BFP. Obviously thrilled but also very nervous - FTM and we both expected it to take a lot longer! Have spoken to GP and been given higher dose of folic acid as BMI is v. high Sad and referred to the community midwife but not heard anything yet.

So far I feel exhausted and achy (muscle aches and mild period-like heaviness), little nauseous some afternoons but feel unnnervingly normal so far!

Boo2020 · 15/07/2020 20:55

@Porcupette Congratulations!! Oh gosh I'm exactly like you, I came off the pill in November ( 10 years been on the pill) and i didnt have a period for 5-6 months so the doctor put me on a pill for 4 weeks in May to kick start it back up, I had a period there after for 5 days and got my BFP, not got a clue how long my normal cycles are either 🤔 but if I went from when I ovulated I will be 4 -5 weeks pregnant..

Not really got much symptoms other than bloating, wind and achy boobs..

Boo2020 · 15/07/2020 20:57

@bubblybon20 i don't know why but because I'm so early it scares me a bit going vaginally 🙈

Porcupette · 15/07/2020 21:09

@Boo2020 congratulations!

I know what you mean about the vaginal scan. It’s funny how even though we can know objectively what’s safe and not safe, it’s easy to worry about the what ifs!

BeanieBabyLovex · 15/07/2020 21:11

I've had a few vaginal scan ( 8+4 ) and they're fine awkward but fine I love seeing my little bean so clearly

Congrats everyone xxx

I prefer vaginal scans for under 10 weeks as you can see baby so clearly!! I have my other one booked for next Friday as you could see a flickering heart beat but not an actual baby yet so hopefully will do next week! Everything worries you when you’re early one 😂🙃

Part of me wishes I found out later lol! But baby seems happy in there just an anxious mumma! I'm back tomorrow to see the bean again
Bl0ndi3 · 15/07/2020 22:17

Hi ladies.

I think I got my BFP today, will need to confirm with a gazillion tests over the next few days, but if it is to be then I'm due around 27th March 2021 eeeek.

Have had cramps on and off all day and felt nauseous today too!

It does not feel real yet! Mine and OH anniversary Sunday so hoping a CBD by then to surprise him!

Due March 2021
LilNona14 · 15/07/2020 22:35

@Bl0ndi3

Bl0ndi3 · 15/07/2020 22:39

@LilNona14 me too currently obsessively searching google for pregnancy information haha!!

Will be first baby for me will be my OHs second so I think I'll be excited enough for the both of us if this is a sticker!

Congrats to you when did you get your BFP XXXX

PopcornForDinner · 15/07/2020 22:52

Hello! I'm very tentatively joining in. I had a medical management of a miscarriage a month ago, but got a teeny tiny squinter on a test two days ago (at 8dpo!!)

I'm now 10dpo, but had some cramping and brown spotting throughout the day, so my stress levels are through the roof. I keep feeling excited, but also want to manage my emotions in case I end up getting bad news again.

I have so many physical symptoms already though, which seems quite wild. I'm very tired, nauseous and I constantly feel very hot and dizzy. I wasn't going to test for a few days, but think I'm going to have to go out for an early morning shop for some more tests tomorrow.

LilNona14 · 15/07/2020 22:56

@Bl0ndi3 oh yes I've done that too, since finding out. I got my BFD on the 27 June. But I also knew my ovulation date so I kinda knew it was going to happen, my hubby and I are very lucky in that dept. (😉) we weren't TTC, but I told him I knew it would happen and that I wouldn't stop it from doing so.
We have 2 daughters of 11 & 8. I'm going to be 40 next year. I must be mad.

Do you think you can keep hold of the secret until Sunday? X

Helenknowsbest · 15/07/2020 22:58

@Boo2020 im due 22nd March too by my dates! Completely shocked, it took so long to conceive ds1 and this baby conceived in first month of trying!

Welcome, everyone, and congratulations!

Can anyone talk to me about healthy weight gain during pregnancy?

I'm four weeks going by my last period and I'm overweight by about 12 lbs (BMI 27). I've been about this weight since a few months after my son was born (he will be 4 next month). I am not wanting to diet (I know I'm chubby but I'm not unhappy) but I would like to try to maintain my weight for health reasons, at least for the next few months! I know some weight gain is inevitable and I'm OK with that - this really is more of a health than vanity thing! Is anyone in a similar position?

I've got tender breasts and felt like my leggings were too tight yesterday (bloating?!) but otherwise I'm fine. I had no morning sickness with my son so I'm hoping for the same again...

Bl0ndi3 · 16/07/2020 08:29

@LilNona14 I'm hoping to keep the secret! I tested again this morning and the line is still there but isn't stronger than yesterday's so I definitely want to wait until it's a nice strong line and confirm it with a CBD too!
