Hi guys! Just found out were expecting. Very early but have no one else I can compare symptoms or questions with. Also thought it would be nice to follow pregnancies together. Expected due date should be the middle of March!

@bibs124 yeah better to be safe with that! I've got a pregnancy multivitamin that I take that has everything in it but taking it makes me gag 🤢 as it's huge so need to find some that won't be a problem when nausea really hits haha I spat three out yesterday before I finally managed 🤷🏼‍♀️😂🙄

bibs124 · 20/07/2020 15:56

@Bl0ndi3 oh no that's the last thing you need! I saw at Tesco they have gummy pregnacare multi vitamin! Maybe try that Smile

Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 15:57

@bibs124 I'll look into that they sound great provided they are vegetarian gummies 🥰🥰🥰

ValidUser · 20/07/2020 15:58

@bibs124 so much! I'd live on biscuits and garlic bread if I could at the moment.

bibs124 · 20/07/2020 16:10

@Bl0ndi3 just checked for you and they're vegan! Posted a pic below

@ValidUser omg garlic bread sounds amazing right now!

I am surviving on frazzles, custard and tinned ravioli etc at the moment, oh and cheese! Husband has decided he wants a bbq tonight, so have bought what I fancy eating. But I seem to eat nothing or everything.

ElsiesJourney · 20/07/2020 16:32

I too am trying to eat well! But between constipation and waves of nausea all I really want is warburtons crumpets thickly spread with Lurpak butter!! I've been uncomfortable with nightly cramps today... trying not to worry, but it's hard isn't it. Between endometriosis dodgy shaped uterus and first baby nerves I'm likely to end up an anxious mess!!!!

Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 16:44

@bibs124 oh amazing 🥰🥰🥰

SmileyT · 20/07/2020 16:47

Hey ladies just thought I'd share something I read the other day about first trimester sickness just in case it helps anyone - apparently even though you may feel like you fancy bland carbs having high protein meals will really help with keeping the nausea away and fuel your body alongside the carbs, also if you don't get enough veg, even with a multivitamin you may not be getting all your normal nutrients which will make you feel even more exhausted. No idea if it's an old wives tale but just thought I'd share (even though I've only eaten 3 Jaffa cakes today 😂) ❤️

I think I've seen three Facebook groups mentioned here. Please could someone DM me the details? Thanks!

LissLady · 20/07/2020 17:06

Hi all. Got my BFP 3rd July day 29 after first month off pill. Baby no 3 for me 1st for OH. Had huge fertility problems with my first and didn't expect it to happen so fast especially later in life so absolutely thrilled.

Really sore boobs from a week before test though they don't seem to be so bad at the moment. Had lots of AF type cramps that first week or 2 also but again seem to have eased off. I thought I was 6+2 on Sat so booked for private scan hoping to see heartbeat but they put me at 5 and half weeks. Wasn't worried about that as had just come off pill so could have ov late and tested positive very early on. Have rescan in 10 days but sonographer said take a clearblue weeks test to see if it has gone up (said 1-2 when first tested and 2-3 a week later...) so went home and did another for it to still only say 2-3 weeks :-( Now really worried baby has stopped growing. Dont have any bleeding and no pains but dont really have many pregnancy symptoms either. My older 2 are in their teens so Ive forgotten it all! I feel too "well" and keep worrying myself silly that my dates were right and baby has just stopped growing.

What symptoms are you all getting and has anyone else had issues with the digital weeks tests?

LissLady · 20/07/2020 17:07

Oh can I join any of the facebook groups too please! This is such a headache to find a thread....

Clara9 · 20/07/2020 17:16

Thank you @Bl0ndi3 and @Sussexbysea! This has made me feel better. No bleeding and not very painful. I think it might actually be my bladder as I am having to wee every twenty minutes!!!!!

Slat3 · 20/07/2020 17:16

Hi ladies, if you PM me I will get you added Smile
These are so hard to keep up with.
Are there two Facebook groups?!

Slat3 · 20/07/2020 17:17

Ignore me, have read through the chat Grin

ValidUser · 20/07/2020 17:32

@ElsiesJourney it's so hard, isn't it? I'm growing an IVF baby and the worry is immense!

ValidUser · 20/07/2020 17:34

@Clara9 I'm peeing all the time too, and I'm only 4 weeks along. This can only get worse for me!

(I've always wanted to be able to complain about pregnancy symptoms. Now I can!)

In addition to the beige diet, everything tastes like metal which definitely isn't helping.

Devon1987 · 20/07/2020 18:00

Hi all

I'm 4+1 and it will be my second as we have a DS already. Already full of morning sickness, and mainly in the middle of night. It's much worse then my first so hoping it doesn't last until the 26th week like last time.

No cramps yet so silver linings

sikasika · 20/07/2020 18:01

Hi all (again)!
So I'm in the process of booking a private scan for a week or so away, when I should be 7-8 weeks. Feels daft but I'm so bloody anxious and the NHS round here seems to move very, very slowly. Think it'd put my mind at rest plus once we have some reassurance I can tell my parents.
I regret saying last week that I only had sore boobs, I am now living in a fog of exhaustion and nausea Sad but I s'pose it's nice to have signs that it's actually happening!
Also I really, really want to eat strawberries. Sigh.
Much love xx

lookingatthings · 20/07/2020 18:06

@Bl0ndi3 so I use terries and muslins paired with a wrap. I second @helia with her recommendation of the nappy lady (and a poo knife!).

I looked at the disposable style system but I wanted something that would last birth to potty- the old fashioned terries fit that requirement for me, and I quickly got into a washing drying folding routine that means I always have nappies ready go. I practiced with folds before DS was born, and then have adapted the ones as use as he's got bigger.
And resusable wipes (whatever brand you go for) are honestly the greatest. I bought some baby wipes the other day when we were out and had a hummus incident, and couldn't believe how flimsy they were!

You also don't need to get sucked into brand names. I bought the cheeky wipes starter kit, but they really are just small flannels. If I need more I'll be buying flannels and cutting them down.

Sandra1212 · 20/07/2020 18:07

@LissLady, hi, I've been worrying over clearblue digital tests too...I am about 5 weeks now but still get 2-3. Wondering and worrying. Having very mild symptoms - af like cramps but very mild. I am thinking of going for an early scan but around 8weeks if no other symptoms come up. How did you feel early on with your previous pregnancies?x

ValidUser · 20/07/2020 18:14

@sikasika totally reasonable to get an early scan.

Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 18:26

@Sandra1212 2-3 weeks is fine at 5 weeks because it's 2-3 from conception which would make you around 5 weeks ! So you're fine. It does say that in the instructions too about what 1-2/2-3 means as in dating by a doctor

I'm nearly 5 weeks but only getting 1-2 weeks so far x

bobloblawlawblog · 20/07/2020 18:53

Sussexbysea I switched from the folic acid with vit D to the pregnacare actually. You reckon that's what's doing it? What is everyone else taking supplements wise?

Sussexbysea · 20/07/2020 18:56

@bobloblawlawblog they say it’s because your body isn’t used to all the additional vitamins. It’s a good thing though because your body is retaining all the good stuff. It does ease off, you’ll be glad to hear x
