Hi guys! Just found out were expecting. Very early but have no one else I can compare symptoms or questions with. Also thought it would be nice to follow pregnancies together. Expected due date should be the middle of March!

@Headingtowardsforty morning!

I’ll be 7 weeks by the time of my appointment. I’m in Worthing so I’ll be under a different trust to you.

How’s everyone feeling today? I’ve got my usual morning aches and pains and constantly need a poo. Nothing is TMI ok this group anymore, especially after telling everyone about my smelly bits lol

Headingtowardsforty · 19/07/2020 08:04

@Sussexbysea morning! I'm almost 7 weeks already, so I hope my trust is as organised as yours and gets in touch soon.

I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday, apart from my breasts which seem to grow every time I'm not looking at them. I'm sure they didn't grow this much last time! At least I don't feel like I'm going to pass out every two minutes like I did yesterday.

Clara9 · 19/07/2020 08:58

Morning everyone,

How are you all doing? Been testing each day and line is getting stronger, so optimistically hopeful at this point. Feeling quite tired and have had some stomach cramps. The book I've got says that's normal and probably linked to implantation so trying not to worry!

Clara9 · 19/07/2020 09:06

@helia we have the same due date and I got my bfp on Tuesday! How are you feeling?

HoAn · 19/07/2020 09:18

Hey,

I got my BFP on 6th July! I was so excited as I had been having really irregular cycles since coming off the pill last July and even went to the drs in February after 2 months without a period. I was convinced I couldn't get pregnant. I'm just over 7 weeks but apart from some intermittent cramping and a bit of tiredness, I feel pretty much normal. Is anyone else like this? I know I should probably be grateful but it's freaking me out lol.
Thanks

Holly6097 · 19/07/2020 09:36

Sorry I meant to say, congratulations everyone on your BFPs 😁!

Holly6097 · 19/07/2020 09:38

Name change btw (I'm 'HoAn' above)!

Headingtowardsforty · 19/07/2020 09:42

@Holly6097 hiya, congrats. With my first pregnancy I was just tired and a bit dizzy, he is now 10. This time I have all the symptoms, not sure which I prefer to be honest!

Holly6097 · 19/07/2020 10:46

Hi @Headingtowardsforty. Thank you! Congrats to you too! Aw ok then. Thanks. I think I was just expecting to feel a lot different and still can't believe it's real. I did take 4 tests though over the course of a week (3 different types of clear blue and 1 cheapo 1) and all of the lines were pretty strong. Hope you're not feeling too rough and it is all going ok for you 😊!

Sussexbysea · 19/07/2020 11:50

Congrats to all the new BFP’s. We’re an open and honest group of all kinds of ages so welcome and let’s enjoy this experience together.

This is my second and I’ve got all the aches and pains in my lower abdomen, sore boobs, sickness and now an urge to eat everything.

Headingtowardsforty · 19/07/2020 12:59

@Holly6097 it does take a while to get your head round. First time I don't think I really believed it until I had my scan. This time I'm coming up to 7 weeks and there's no doubt in my mind. Hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Marshmellowskies · 19/07/2020 15:33

Hi everyone🙂 got my bfp on 16th! Im 5+3 today I think. This will be my second pregnancy (DS is 5) I'm still in shock as we have been ttc for 16 months. Symptoms are mild cramping/tugging and sore nipples, also lower back pain but that comes and goes. Congrats to you all💐

ElsiesJourney · 19/07/2020 15:45

I got my BFP today. I've had a rough ride with TTC and although my period was way late I assumed it was just my normal silly variation (it's not unusual for me to have the longest of cycles randomly thrown in).
But yesterday I felt weird, bloated, a bit sick- said to my husband that I'm either due to the mother of all periods any second- or I'm pregnant.

And today- BFP. I can not believe it... my dates are saying around March 10th.

My first, and somewhat of a miracle. I feel Sick, things smell strong, really sore boobs and the bloat is insane.

Your messages and stories have already provided me with some comfort xx

Sussexbysea · 19/07/2020 17:40

Tonight’s dinner.... Chinese! I have a hankering for Peking duck and a spring roll. I will demolish it in seconds and be in bed minutes after 😂😂

helia · 19/07/2020 17:53

Congratulations @Clara9! Nice to have a due date buddy. My first baby was late preterm so I'm half expecting a February baby but I really, really, really hope to make it to full term this time. Incidentally Clara is one of the names I like if this baby is a girl. I'm not getting ahead of myself though as I feel it is such early days and who knows if this will lead to a happy outcome yet.

Bl0ndi3 · 19/07/2020 18:03

Anybody else just obsessively doing the following:

  • downloading pregnancy apps
  • Googling anything related to pregnancy so far I've done: private scans, reusable nappies and wipes, I've favourited everything I love in baby clothes on the next website, looked at prams and travel systems, nursery furniture and so on haha
  • stood in the soon to be nursery and mapped out the layout in their head
  • maternity clothes "window shopping"
  • staring at their side profile hoping to see a bump hahaha

I am just so excited 🥺🥰

Holly6097 · 19/07/2020 18:03

Aww congratulations all! I'm kind of finding that there aren't many foods I'm fancying atm. I just had crumpets instead of tea last night and think I might do the same tonight. I think it must be some kind of pregnancy symptom because I always enjoy a hot meal on the evening usually. X

Bl0ndi3 · 19/07/2020 18:04

I should add that I am actively trying to be positive beyond testing daily to check line progression so I am avoiding any negativity because I can't control what's going to happen so I'm just going to try and relax and enjoy 🥰🥰

Sussexbysea · 19/07/2020 18:10

@Bl0ndi3 is this your first?

I’ve been looking at a new pram already too, this will be my second child. For anyone looking, Smyths toy store have a great Selection of baby things

Holly6097 · 19/07/2020 18:11

Aww @Bl0ndi3! I'm also doing most of those things. I've saved a link for all of the nursery furniture I like, keep mapping it all out too etc! It feels so surreal but exciting!

Bl0ndi3 · 19/07/2020 18:31

@Sussexbysea haha can you tell - yes it's my first 🥰🥰🥰 my friend works for the precious little one website that has some good stuff and good deals xx

Bl0ndi3 · 19/07/2020 18:32

@Holly6097 doesn't it 🥰 I can't wait for all of it! Want to try and enjoy the pregnancy and not wish it away as it may be my only pregnancy ever as OH has a child from a precious relationship so a third may be out of the question xxx

Headingtowardsforty · 19/07/2020 18:34

Ha ha! How many apps are too many? I have printed off my prebooking in forms today to fill out. No new pushchair here, or at least, not until we need a stroller. But I have been looking at baby clothes.

mummy20177 · 19/07/2020 18:55

Hi, can I join?? I had two positive tests last Monday! BIG SHOCK! I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so yes massive shock! I will be 7 weeks on Monday and Ive forgotten when the best time to ring the drs to get In touch with the midwife is? anxious as had a mc before my eldest so each pregnancy since has turned Me into a nervous wreck! Due date calculator online says 8th March

Holly6097 · 19/07/2020 19:20

Hey @mummy20177 aww congratulations! I found out when I was just over 5 weeks and as I've never been pregnant before I just phoned the drs straight away for advice. I had to hide in my teacher cupboard so that nobody could hear me (because I can only book an appointment at my drs if I phone at 8:30am). I thought I'd be best to say what it was about as they're only offering over the phone appointments at my drs atm. The receptionist said I didn't need to see the gp and passed on the midwife's number so I phoned and we've arranged an over the phone appointment for when I'm just under 9 weeks. I assume this would usually be done in person but obviously they can't atm. She said she would then arrange for me to go in to have my bloods done and the 12 week scan etc. Are they doing all of this at the same time do you know? I don't really know what to expect lol.
Aw I bet that makes it really hard but how lovely to hear that you have 2 children too 😊.
